A truly exquisite film. When I first saw it, I was fascinated because the audivosiaul treatment seemed to resemble Renaissance paintings (the photography, the lights, the music). Really incredible, one of my favorites.

I remember seeing Barry Lyndon when I was a kid when it was released. Man, that is a long time ago. It is an interesting film, very artistic in nature, but as a kid I found it a bit dull, which is odd as I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey around the same time. Maybe I'll have to give it another run and see if my view of it has changed.
