This film brings together a dream cast with names such as Amy Adams, Gary Oldman and Julianne Moore.
The premise of the classic psychological noir adapted by Dan Mallory from A.J. Finn's novel seemed promising.
Unfortunately, despite the talent in front of and behind the camera, the film ends up being a disappointment.
The director fails to find the right tone between suspense and intimate drama, causing the potent theme of mental health to lose steam.

Amy Adams does her best and is fine, but the character is left in the hands of a script that loses its way in intricate and pointless twists and turns.
Oldman and Moore are remarkable, but wasted.
Technically it's up and down, with moments reminiscent of genre masters like Hitchcock, but overall Wright's staging lacks the subtle mystery the story needed.
It remains a disappointing shadow of what it could have been with better hands. A waste of talent in a forgettable film that brought nothing new to the table.
