I started watching it when the first season came out in 2016 thanks to my brother having it downloaded on his laptop, but there was a problem and I couldn't watch the final episode of the first season, and I forgot about the series for many years although sometimes I remembered it and told myself that I had to watch it just because, I loved it too much at that time, and today six years later I love it more than before having seen the 3 seasons in a row, I love it more because I could enjoy a work of art as a series, and that happens very rarely, this review will have spoilers, but not many, but it does not matter, because even if I explained them completely you would not understand it, I do not understand it very well let's say.
Westworld is a place of self-discovery where humans can indulge all their desires, violent or not, without fear of the consequences they would have in the real world. Westworld is the highest evolution of mechatronic parks where the hosts feel almost as real as humans, even if at first glance you can't tell any difference between one and the other. Westworld is a series that evolves along with its characters, so its beginning in the first season is very different from the end in the third season, which has annoyed some ridiculous people because they say they are damaging one of the best science fiction series, and although the fourth season is already confirmed, we still do not know its premiere date, which helps us to know that the series still does not have a definitive end.

Yo la comencé a ver cuando salió la primera temporada en el 2016 gracias a que mi hermano la tenía descargada en su laptop, pero hubo un problema y no pude ver el capítulo final de la primera temporada, y me olvidé de la serie por muchos años aunque a veces la recordaba y me decía que tenía que verla porque sí, la amé demasiado en ese tiempo, y hoy seis años después la amo más que antes al haber visto las 3 temporadas seguidas, la amo más porque pude disfrutar de una obra de arte echa serie, y eso sucede muy pocas veces, esta reseña va a tener spoilers, pero no muchos, aunque no importa, porque incluso si se las explicara por completo no la entendenderían, yo no la entiendo muy bien que digamos.
Westworld es un lugar de autodescubrimiento donde los seres humanos pueden satisfacer todos sus deseos, violentos o no, sin temer a las consecuencias que tendrían en el mundo real. Westworlds es la más alta evolución de los parques mecatrónicos donde los anfitriones se sienten casi tan reales como los humanos, aunque a simple vista no se puedan notar ninguna diferencia entre unos y otros. Westworld es una serie que evoluciona a la par que sus personajes, por lo que su comienzo en la primera temporada es muy diferente al final en la tercera temporada, cosa que ha gente muy ridícula le molesta porque dicen que están dañando una de las mejores series de ciencia ficción, y aunque la cuarta temporada ya está confirmada, aún no sabemos su fecha de estreno, cosa que nos ayuda a saber que la serie aún no tiene un final definitivo.
The Maze (ins't ment for us)
The first season is my favorite, and the reason this is so is that the hosts, these robots programmed to be human, only without consciousness, still have a level of innocence and gullibility that only children have and good people at heart maintain for their entire lives. That is one of the strengths of the first season for me, and of course, I must add the mystery behind each of the people and hosts that we see, that we get to know, of all the stories in loops that we will get to know by heart without any effort, so we will be able to notice the small changes that happen, not in the stories, but in the hosts, that although they will have very obvious big changes, there will be many less obvious things that we can only observe and notice if we are really paying attention to the series.
El Laberinto (no es para nosotros)
La primera temporada es mi favorita, y la raón de que esto sea así es que los anfintriones, estos robots programados para ser humanos, solo que sin consciencia, aún tienen un nivel de inocencia y credulidad que solo los niños tienen y las personas buena de corazón mantienen por toda su vida. Esta inocencia es algo que se pierde en la segunda temporada, y no es que todos los anfitriones la hayan tenido, solo que es como una capa de piel muerta que se quitan y todo cambia de formas que nunca hubiéramos llegado a pensar.
Ese es uno de los puntos fuertes de la primera temporada para mí, y claro está que debo agregar el misterio detrás de cada una de las personas y anfitriones que vemos, que vamos conociendo, de todas las historias en bucles que nos llegaremos a saber de memoria sin esfuerzo alguno, por lo que seremos capaces de notar los pequeños cambios que suceden, no en las historias, si no en los anfitriones, que si bien van a tener cambios grandes muy obvios, habrá muchas cosas menos evidentes que solo podremos observar y notar si de verdad le estamos poniendo atención a la serie.

I was going to buy the ending with an orgasm, but no, it's much better than that, it's the feeling of fullness that comes after, it's that wanting more, it's that uncontrollable hunger that puts us back into the category of animal beasts, that ending is the perfect demonstration of the cycle of life, of birth and death, it's perfect, there are thousands of ways to describe it, it's perfect.
El punto más fuerte que siempre se va a mantener durante todas las temporadas es la forma perfecta en la que la historia va a estar enredada de la formas más hermosa posible, por ser hermosa no es que vaya a ser fácil entenderla, no, todo lo contrario, esa perfección al momento de enredar la historia es algo que nos va a carcomer el cerebro y exigirá un nivel de discernimiento muy elevado, nunca, jamás, nos van a explicar qué es lo que está sucediendo de forma clara y simple, no, y es por eso que esta serie exige un nivel de atención muy elevado, y junto a esa atención una capacidad de pensamiento muy fuerte para llegar a no pensar en qué va a suceder a continuación, si no entender y aceptar todo lo que vaya a suceder a continuación, sabiendo enlazarlo a todo lo que ya sabemos, porque si nos perdemos la historia por 5 minutos no llegaremos a poder entender toda la magnitud de las pequeñas acciones que forman esta magnífica historia.
No quiero extenderme mucho, aunque ya lo estoy haciendo, pero no hablaré de mi amor por ciertos personajes, al menos no todavía, igual voy a decir que el final de la primera temporada me hizo entender, aunque ya lo sabía desde antes, por qué la gente aplaude en las salas de cine cuando las películas terminan. Iba a comprar el final con un orgasmo, pero no, es mucho mejor que eso, es la sensación de plenitud que viene después, es ese querer más, es esa hambre incontrolable que nos vuelve a meter dentro de la categoría de bestias animales, ese final es la perfecta demostración del ciclo de la vida, de un nacimiento y una muerte, es perfecto, hay miles de formas de describirlo, es perfecto.
The Door (Is this now?)
The first season in a way sets the mark excessively high for the series, so many people get discouraged with the slow and even more confusing start of the second season, they completely take away the euphoria of the end of the first season, they change the board and the pieces we had in order, and they throw us into the void with the hope that the fall comes fast and our death is painless. I think it was during the first chapter that I felt that discouragement, but it didn't last long, it didn't last at all, by the middle of the chapter my brain was already excited about all the new information I was getting about something I already had within certain standards, and that new information only made me more interested in the series than what I wanted or expected it to be when taking into account the season that precedes it, and that's a problem with people, they want movies and series to conform to what they want beyond being true to themselves and all those changes are necessary because they are exploring things they didn't explore before.
The first season is the beginning of the uphill roller coaster, the second season is all the way with downhills, full turns, all at an incredible speed that doesn't let us process things right and just makes us scream from excitement, fear, confusion, not wanting it to end, that's for sure, we will never and ever want the second season to end, we will only want all the complete information to try to understand what is happening and try to have a calm mind that does not try to destroy itself by not being able to answer something that does not even need it, because its true nature is in all the questions it gives us, questions that add flavor to the eternal routine in which human beings live without the possibility of avoiding it.

La primera temporada en cierta forma pone la marca excesivamente en alto de la serie, por lo que mucha gente se desanima con el comienzo lento y más confuso aún de la segunda temporada, nos quitan por completo la euforia del final de la primera temporada, nos cambian el tablero y las piezas que teníamos ordenadas, y nos lanzan al vacío con la esperanza de que la caída llegue rápido y nuestra muerte sea indolora. Creo que durante el primer capítulo fue que sentí ese desánimo, pero no me duró mucho, no me duró nada, ya a la mitad del capítulo mi cerebro estaba excitado por toda la nueva información que estaba recibiendo sobre algo que ya tenía dentro de ciertos estándares, y esa nueva información solo hizo que me interesara más por la serie que por lo que quería o esperara que fuera al tener en cuenta la temporada que la precede, y eso es un problema de las personas, quieren que las películas y series se ajusten a lo que ellos quieren más a llá de que sean fieles a sí mismas y todos esos cambios son necesarios porque están explorando cosas que no exploraron antes.
La primera temporada es el comienzo de la subida de una montaña rusa, la segunda temporada es todo el camino con bajadas, vueltas completas, todo a una velocidad increíble que no nos deja procesar las cosas bien y que solo nos hace gritar de la emoción, del miedo, de la confusión, sin querer que termine, eso está claro, jamás y nunca vamos a querer que la segunda temporada termine, solo vamos a querer toda la información completa para intentar entender lo que sucede y tratar de tener una mente en calma que no trata de destruirse a sí misma al no poder darle respuesta a algo que ni siquiera la necesita, porque su verdadera naturaleza está en todas las interrogantes que nos da, interrogantes que le agregan sabor a la rutina eterna en la que los seres humanos vivimos sin posibilidad de evitar.

In a way all the first season is going to have Dolores as the pillar, no matter that the secondary stories have a lot of weight and relevance too, and in this second season the pillar is going to be Bernard, without taking away importance or relevance to Dolores, only that Bernard is going to be the one who narrates us, in a completely disastrous way, the second season, and although I understood her, more than once I had to repeat scenes or whole chapters because my mind wanders too much and my attention is detached from reality, then I had to see many things twice to give them the attention they deserve and thus be able to appreciate it better, this is not a series just to watch it, you have to try to live it as much as you can, and I felt I was disrespecting it, even if I did not when I saw it without really watching it.
Throughout this season they put into practice what they did in the last two episodes of the first season, they completely question the veracity of the events, the time in which they happen, it's not that certain characters know it and others don't, it's that they never make it clear, and there is a very recurrent question that Bernard asks 'is this now?' or what would be 'is this the present? and we will never know if the answer is positive or negative, the events are repeated many times, in many different ways, and we do not know if they are just illusory constructs of their minds, alterations created by their codes and brains trying to protect themselves from reality, or if someone really altered them to mask the reality of what happened.

En cierta forma toda la primera temporada va a tener de pilar a Dolores, sin importar que las historias secundarias tengan mucho peso y relevancia también, y en esta segunda temporada el pilar va a ser Bernard, sin llegar a quitarle importancia o relevancia a Dolores, solo que Bernard va a ser quien nos narre, de una forma completamente desastrosa, la segunda temporada, y aunque la entendí, más de una vez tuve que repetir escenas o capítulos completos porque mi mente divaga demasiado y mi atención se desliga de la realidad, entonces tuve que ver muchas cosas dos veces para poder darles la atención que merecen y así poder apreciarlo mejor, esta no es una serie solo para verla, hay que tratar de vivirla lo más que se pueda, y sentía que le estaba faltando el respeto, aunque no lo hiciera, cuando la veía sin verla de verdad.
En toda esta temporada ponen en práctica lo que hicieron en los últimos dos capítulos de la primera temporada, cuestionan por completo la veracidad de los eventos, el tiempo en que ocurren, no es que ciertos personajes lo sepan y otros no, es que nunca lo dejan en claro, y hay una pregunta muy recurrente que Bernard se hace 'is this now?' o lo que sería ¿esto es el presente?, y nunca vamos a saber si la respuesta es postiva o negativa, los eventos se repiten muchas veces, de muchas formas diferentes, y no sabemos si solo son constructos ilusorios de sus mentes, alteraciones creadas por sus códigos y cerebro tratando de protegerse de la realidad, o si es que alguién los alteró de verdad para enmascarar la realidad de lo sucedido.
Violence is present in the first season, that senseless violence that human beings are very capable of manifesting without any reason to justify their existence. This season was the one that made me cry the most, you have no idea, there is an entire chapter in which one of the hosts recounts his entire existence since they created him, and they only let me breathe for several minutes before making me cry again without compassion. The level of intimacy we're going to have with the secondary characters, more so than the main ones, is going to be too much to bear or even pretend that they don't affect us. This may be a very violent season, but it is just as emotional, we will get to see for the first time a general display of emotions and feelings that the hosts previously only feigned and believed to be true, they will be more human than human, for better or worse, and they should be greatly feared for that alone.

No saben la cantidad de veces que me reí internamente cuando un ser humano moría, esa satisfacción nadie me la va a quitar, y es que son unas mierdas que no merecen el perdón de sus creaciones, porque como dicen una vez en la serie 'no puedes jugar a ser dios sin conocer al diablo', y es la verdad, jugaron a ser dios creando a todos los anfitriones solo para terminar convirtiendose en el diablo que los tortura todos los días en el infierno que es su realidad.
Esta temporada fue la que más me hizo llorar, no tienen idea, hay un capítulo entero en el que uno de los anfitriones relata toda su existencia desde que lo crearon, y solo me dejaban respirar por varios minutos antes de volver a hacerme llorar sin compasión. El nivel de intimidad que vamos a tener con los personajes secundarios, más que con los principales, va a ser demasiado como para soportar o siquiera pretender que no nos afectan. Esta podrá ser una temporada muy violenta, pero es igual de emotiva, lograremos ver por primera vez una demostración general de emociones y sentimientos que los anfitriones antes solo finguían y creían que eran verdaderos, serán más humanos que los humanos, en lo bueno y en lo malo, y se les debería tener mucho miedo solo por eso.
The New World (Free will is not free)
This is the third season of disagreement, here they say that it has too many action scenes, fights, kicks, fisticuffs, and bites, and thanks to that they leave aside all the science fiction, intellectual, mystery, and complicated narrative to understand. I just laugh and think they are poor ugly little things who want the world to adapt to their desires without being aware that things are not like that. Yes, it is true, this season is full of a lot of action, explosions, shootings, fight scenes, but ñe, that does not make it a bad season, it is just how the series adapts to the point of the story in which it is, this is a point where it is almost impossible to maintain the mystery and the complicated plot that turns the first season into a celestial creation, and it is something that is not necessary, if all the seasons had the same formula it would not have caused the impact it had, it would be very repetitive and that only has one end: boredom.
In this third season, we are going to find ourselves outside of Westworld, outside of that park created as hell for the hosts and heaven for the humans, we are going to be located in a world very similar to Westworld, the truth, and Dolores has the mission to destroy it. How to destroy a world without action scenes? Impossible. This is a completely relaxed season, this is the end of the roller coaster ride, here we are already reaching that magnificent moment where the chaos is over, only to get off and realize that chaos is all over the world, just disguised as many seemingly innocent and harmless things and you didn't notice it before.
El Nuevo Mundo (El libre albedrío no es gratis)
Esta es la tercera temporada de la discordia, aquí dicen que tiene demasiadas escenas de acción, de peleas, de patadas, coñazos y mordizcos, y gracias a eso se deja de lado toda la parte de ciencia ficción, intelectual, el misterio, y la narrativa complicada de entender. Yo solo me río y pienso que son unas pobres cositas feas que quieren que el mundo se adapta a sus deseos sin ser conscientes de que las cosas no son así. Sí, es cierto, esta temporada está llena de mucha acción, explosicones, disparos, escenas de peleas, pero ñe, eso no la hace una mala temporada, es tan solo la forma en la que la serie se adapta al punto de la historia en el que se encuentra, este es un punto donde es casi imposible mantener el misterio y la trama complicada que vuelve a la primera temporada en una creación celestial, y es algo que no es necesario, si todas las temporadas tuvieran la misma formula no hubiera causado el impacto que tuvo, sería muy repetitiva y eso solo tiene un final: el aburrimiento.
En esta tercera temporada nos vamos a encontrar fuera de Westworld, fuera de ese parque creado como el infierno de los anfitriones y el cielo para los humanos, vamos a estar situados en un mundo muy parecido a Westworld, la verdad, y Dolores tiene como misión destruirlo. ¿Cómo se destruye a un mundo sin escenas de acción? Imposible. Esta es una temporada completamente relajada, este es el final del recorrido de la montaña rusa, aquí ya estamos llegando a ese momento magnífico donde el caos se acaba, solo para bajarte y darte cuenta que el caos está en todo el mundo, solo que disfrazado de muchas cosas aparentemente inocentes e inofensivas y antes no lo notabas.
It's always good to have an outside view of the things that happen in the world, and Dolores is perfect for that task. It's just that people are too idiotic, saying that here the mystery and the stories were lost with more than one version without knowing which one is the true one, and here the plot stays the same as before, nojoda, it's that it provokes to slap them with an iron boot to see if that way their brains start working. I'm sorry for this outburst, it's just that I had let myself get carried away by the ridiculousness that this season had lost the essence of the series just because they added new elements that obviously weren't there before because they weren't necessary.
This world outside of Westworld is super technologically advanced and is the perfect example of how Westworld can come to exist, taking into account that the real world has better and more advanced technologies, that's why the hosts are treated as disposable robots that can make and remake as many times as they want. This world is so technologically advanced that there is artificial intelligence capable of predicting the future, or at least the immediate future in which people live, but everything changes when Dolores, a variable never foreseen, enters the equation changing the game for everyone.
Siempre es bueno tener una visión externa de las cosas que suceden en el mundo, y Dolores es perfecta para esa tarea. Es que la gente es demasiado idiota, diciendo que aquí se perdía el misterio y las historias con más de una versión sin saber cuál es la verdadera, y aquí la trama se mantiene igual de intenta que antes, nojoda, es que provoca darles una cachetada con una bota de hierro para ver si así les comienza a funcionar el cerebro. Lo siento por este arrebato, es que me había dejado llevar por esa ridiculez de que esta temporada había perdido la escencia de la serie solo porque le agregaron nuevos elementos que obviamente no estaban antes porque no eran necesarios.
Este mundo fuera de Westworld está super avanzado tecnológicamente, y es la perfecta muestra de cómo Westworld puede llegar a existir, teniendo en cuenta que el mundo real tiene mejores y más avanzadas tecnologías, por eso es que los anfitriones son tratados como robots desechables que pueden hacer y rehacer todas las veces que les den la gana. Este mundo está tan avanzado tecnológicamente que existe una inteligencia artificial capáz de predecir el futuro, o al menos el futuro inmediato en el que viven las personas, pero todo cambia cuando Dolores, una variable jamás prevista, entra en la ecuación cambiando el juego para todo el mundo.

This season has an ending just as epic as the first, at least for me, is that it is just as indescribable and perfect, has a more real dose of chaos, terror, of expectation than the first season, I will not say the end, I would not forgive myself. This ending, this point in the story where the third season leaves us is something precious and terrifying, and only those who have already seen the series will understand me. I love this ending because it leaves the page blank for the fourth season, if there really is a fourth season, and that gives me a kind of strange happiness to see what they are going to surprise us with.
No me soporto, hace unas semanas fue que vi las tres temporadas seguidas, y ayer pensando en qué escribir hoy recordé Westworld y decidí hacerlo, y sé que al principio dije que esta era una reseña que no se merecía la serie, pero a este punto creo que sí se la merece, aunque agradezcan, cosa que yo me agradezco, que no voy a hablar de los personajes en un apartado, porque si no, duraría al menos dos días haciendo esta reseña, y apenas llevo un par de horas. Es casi imposible dejar de exigirse tanto cuando se convierte en la norma, y sin ir a los extremos, claro está.
Ya me voy a relajar y comenzaré a escribir el final de la reseña, no me soporto. Esta temporada tiene un final igual de épico que la primera, al menos para mí, es que es igual de indescriptible y perfecto, tiene una dosis más real de caos, de terror, de expectativa que el de la primera temporada, no voy a decir el final, no me lo perdonaría. Este final, este punto de la historia en el que nos deja la tercera temporada es algo precioso y terrorífico, y solo quienes ya hayan visto la serie me van a entender. Amo este final porque deja la página en blanco para la cuarta temporada, si es que de verda hay una cuarta temporada, y eso me da una especie de felicidad extraña por ver con qué nos van a sorprender.

Many characters had a horrible development/ending, and I think that is the only thing in which the series could have been worked better, I say this in a completely subjective way, it is nothing objective, it is just my whim, so to speak, because the developments/endings are not that they are horrible really, I just did not like them, there were several that were too real, so real that I did not like them because although they are good, they could have been much better, do not ask me how.

Hay muchos personajes que tuvieron un desarrollo/final horrible, y creo que es lo único en lo que la serie hubiera podido ser trabajada mejor, digo esto de forma subjetiva completamente, no es nada objetivo, es solo mi capricho, por así decirlo, porque los desarrollos/finales no es que sean horribles de verdad, solo que no me gustaron, hubo varios que fueron demasiado reales, tan reales que no me gustaron, porque si bien son buenos, pudieron haber sido mucho mejores, no me pregunten cómo.

Esta es una serie para disfrutar en soledad, sin compañía, quizás comiendo algo, pero nada que evite que quites los ojos de la pantalla y te pierdas de cualquier gesto, porque no se sabe la relevancia que puede llegar a tener en la historia, y esto lo digo de verdad, no saben el verdadero significado de lo que un simple movimiento de manos, un parpadeo, o una sonrisa puede llegar a significar, y es algo que exige y demanda mucha atención
No les dejé trailer, pero les dejé el enlace en la imagen de abajo al video de todos los openings de las tres temporadas, yo amo con locura cada uno de esos openings, solo son 3, pero la animación junto a la música es una cosa exquisita que me hizo volver a verlos sin importar que nunca los haya saltado mientras veía la serie.
