Hola amigos, buenas vibras para todos.
**Hello friends, good vibes to all.
It had been I think two years since we haven't seen anything from Marvel on a cinematic level because of the virus and the whole pandemic thing but fortunately the wait seems to have come to an end. It's true that we've already seen things like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and recently Loki but as far as movies go this is the first we've seen since Endgame.
We find ourselves with the film that is the farewell of Natasha Romanoff of the Marvel universe, and is that she sacrificed herself to save the universe in Endgame, but behind this story is how Nat arises, where she comes from and what was her purpose of life accompanied with a side of her that if we had started to see in some movies but that this time they deepened a little more. Come on then and let's talk a little bit about what this is all about:
- Historia // History.
I recommend that if you haven't seen the movie go, do so and then go back and read, and if you already have, we'll continue. The timeline in which this story takes place is just after "Captain America: Civil War" when Romanoff decides to leave SHIELD and begins her escape from General Ross who pursues her after having acted against the famous Sokovia Accords. From this point onwards begins the real exercise of introspection of this important character because we will get to know a little more about her.
During these multiple escapes Natasha's adoptive sister, Yelena (Florence Pugh), manages to locate her in order to make contact and thus begin a mission full of chases and surprises that will be the center of all the action of the film. The main plan is to defeat General Dreykov, mastermind behind the formation of the black widows, with the help of his family that in certain passages we will understand how and why it originates.
- Opinion.
Having mentioned the family theme, I think this is where the real purpose of the film lies, not the explosions or the hand-to-hand combat scenes or the fact that it is a plot full of action or unexpected twists and turns. I think in my very humble opinion that the real objective was to dignify and give much more depth to a character that in many opportunities became "just another one of the bunch".
It is a reminder that we will never see Natasha Romanoff in the Marvel Universe again and in turn helped us close many loose ends that existed around the beginning of her life and certainly marks a torch shift for the new generations to come in this incredible world of superheroes.
As for the characters themselves we clearly see a lot of feelings that go hand in hand with what I said before, the idea is to show the human side more than the tough one. Florence Pugh is a spectacular actress, I remember seeing her in a pure horror movie called "Midsommar" and the truth is that I was shocked by the role she played, I think she has a very good ability to be the harmless girl but warrior at the same time. Undoubtedly an excellent addition from Marvel for the future.
We also have Rachel Weisz and David Harbour who are the parents of these sisters. Harbour was the ice-breaking "comic" character that gave that touch of comedy to the film and Weisz the truth is that she was just another character, quite flat but without falling into the bad. All in all, a decent movie with good action shots, a simple plot with an irrelevant villain but in the end it does the job.
A purpose that is none other than FAMILY. In this way they wanted to close the story of Natasha and I think they did it well, I feel that nothing was missing in the film and I notice it because I enjoyed it. You can watch it on DisneyPlus and it has a duration of a little more than 2 hours; as always I leave you the trailer so you can take a look at it for those who haven't done it yet.
