I titled my review of the first season of this series "The Spy in Love," and now that same spy becomes a traitor, all for the love of a woman he wants to protect at all costs. That part of Martin's romance was what I liked least about the first season. I felt there wasn't enough chemistry between the two characters in love for that unbridled love to be believable.

In this second batch of episodes, Martin's love for Samia is still present, but with a better-controlled pace, no longer the center of attention, and more space is given to the secondary characters and the other missions they must face in this second season. For me, this has been positive for the series, which, from the beginning, had a slow pace, but at the same time, a lot happens in this world of spies.

You shouldn't trust anyone; that should be a spy's motto. Well, I think everyone should apply it, without needing to be an international spy. Betrayal is also inherent in human beings. Martin is now a traitor; He's betraying everyone: friends, colleagues, his country. He's betraying his principles to protect the woman he loves.

If you watched the first season, you know how the storylines were left unresolved and why Martin now has to act as a double agent. How will he get out of this mess? His actions will endanger the lives of valuable assets. But on top of that, he has to evade Henry, his friend and superior, a veteran, a wily old fox of espionage who knows when someone is lying. Intrigue, suspicion, a cat-and-mouse game. Can Martin save himself?

I like that they're focusing more on Sanny's mission in Iran and the changes she has to face, that feeling of imminent danger. Getting closer and closer to the fire. I like her character; she seems so fragile, but she's getting better and better as a spy and in the field.

Owen will return to the field with a dangerous mission, and I think he'll be the one to pay the price. I feel really sorry for this character because of everything he has to go through, although in the end he manages to push Blair to his limits. This new mission is the most interesting of all, as it introduces a very dangerous and intelligent antagonist: an American who now works for the enemy and is nicknamed "The Viking" because he likes to crush heads.

Capturing this man will be crucial this season, and Martin will be one of those tasked with hunting him down. Will he succeed? I think the series is proving successful enough for Paramount, and it also boasts a star-studded cast. So I hope they greenlight a third season soon, because I want to see more of these CIA agents.

Owen regresará al campo con una misión peligrosa, y creo que él será quien pague las consecuencias. Siento mucha pena por este personaje por todo lo que tiene que pasar, aunque al final consigue llevar a Blair al límite. Esta nueva misión es la más interesante de todas, ya que introduce a un antagonista muy peligroso e inteligente: un estadounidense que ahora trabaja para el enemigo y al que apodan "El Vikingo" porque le gusta aplastar cabezas.

Capturar a este hombre será fundamental esta temporada, y Martin será uno de los encargados de darle caza. ¿Lo conseguirá? Creo que la serie está teniendo suficiente éxito para Paramount, además de que cuenta con un reparto de grandes estrellas. Así que espero que pronto den luz verde a una tercera temporada, porque quiero seguir viendo más de estos agentes de la CIA.
