Another quick movie review

Lord of War with Nicolas Cage is another movie I have on DVD which I watch from time to time. I never saw it at the cinemas, and bought it at the time because Nicolas does tend to do some good movies from time to time. So I do like it.

In this movie he plays an independent arms dealer, whom starts off small by selling locally. However, the desire to do more and make more money soon leads him to more "greyer" deals when it comes to their legality. Ultimately of course he does go completely illegal.

Nicolas does of course have an incorruptible federal agent pursuing him. Part of the movie deals with his inner demons that sway between his drive for success and the implications of what he does. It also looks at the need there is for someone like him to deal arms so that the "big" (US, Soviet Union, China, etc) players can sell their arms.
