   Guerra, delincuencia, corrupción, tráfico, muerte o armas; son palabras controversiales que en todo el mundo se busca plasmar conforme a la perspectiva de cada estilo social, sean argumentos a favor o en contra del mismo, siempre se considera un arma de doble filo que expone los conflictos que encabeza la llamada "escoria de la humanidad", nos quejamos todo el tiempo de la falta de desarrollo que sufrimos como humanidad a causa de las acciones que corrompen la ley, quedando solo dos extremos a elección: amigo o enemigo.

   Lo que en verdad me pareció impresionante, fue la capacidad de estructurar una profundidad en dicho tema, dejar de lado las restricciones y castigos que conlleva la práctica de este negocio y resaltar los verdaderos motivos por los que una persona no solamente decida iniciar con la venta de armamento, si no el permanecer en ello y ganarse el respeto por lo que hace, a tal grado de quedar empapado en demasiadas influencias que se vuelven seres intocables y difíciles de extraer del mercado. El principal protagonista, Yuri Orlov, busca volverse traficante de armas americanas, donde atravesará algunas de las zonas de guerra más peligrosas, escapará de los agentes de la Interpol, se enfrentará a la rivalidad del negocio y enfrentarse también a su propia conciencia.

   What I really found impressive, was the ability to structure a depth in this subject, leaving aside the restrictions and punishments that come with the practice of this business and highlight the real reasons why a person not only decides to start selling weapons, but to stay in it and earn respect for what he does, to the extent of being soaked in too many influences that become untouchable and difficult to extract from the market.    Yuri es consciente que al involucrarse en el negocio, debe realizar sacrificios, arriesgar su vida y modificar su identidad para perdurar en el mercado, puntos que son demasiado obvios en este tipo de producciones; sin embargo, me animé a a escribir de esta película por que es una clara exposición sobre la verdadera habilidad para mantener a flote cualquier negocio que se proponga, no por el hecho de buscar ganancias, si no por darse cuenta que se tiene el talento para ser considerado especialista en la rama. Llegando a la conclusión que hasta para vender armas se necesita de conocimiento, desenvolvimiento y confianza en cada paso que des; se necesita la investigación para conocer a los posibles compradores, la metodología para darte a conocer y comparar los ofrecimientos de la competencia, empaparte de los puntos ciegos que tiene cada ley para justificar tus actos y librarte de la justicia, conocer las necesidades de los compradores y aprovecharse de las debilidades de tus enemigos para adivinar sus movimiento y llevar la delantera; a pesar de lo absurdo que pueda escucharse esto,en el mundo de los negocios todo se vale y nada se desperdicia.

The conclusion is that even to sell guns you need knowledge, performance and confidence in every step you take; You need research to know the potential buyers, the methodology to make yourself known and compare the offers of the competition, soak up the blind spots that each law has to justify your actions and get rid of justice, know the needs of buyers and take advantage of the weaknesses of your enemies to guess their movements and take the lead; despite the absurdity that this may sound, in the business world anything goes and nothing goes to waste.

   

   Esta es la clase de percepciones que me llaman la atención al momento de consumir y recomendar contenido, atreverse a explicar mas allá de lo obvio y proporcionar información valiosa sobre temas comunes, construir interrogantes y alimentar nuestra curiosidad con lógica y asombro, esperando que los demás lleguen a compartir la misma perspectiva que tu o debatir inconformidades. A pesar de ser una película que se estreno en 2005, considero que podría formar parte de la escuela de marketing empresarial y romper con el miedo de arriesgarse a creer en tus habilidades y destrezas, sin importar cual decidas ser o en que lado de la balanza te encuentres, BUSCA SER EL MEJOR.

   This is the kind of insight that strikes me when consuming and recommending content, daring to explain beyond the obvious and provide valuable information on common topics, building questions and feeding our curiosity with logic and wonder, hoping that others will come to share the same perspective as you or debate disagreements.    Saludos a todos, siendo honesto en esta publicación tenía previsto hablar de WW84 la película que fue un fracaso pero quería explicar porque no es tan mala, pero de la nada salió una noticia muy importante en el internet tanto así que me puse a investigar y llega a una película que pene que había olvidado hace mucho tiempo, una película que enseña mucho acerca de la hipocresía política y como el dinero es lo más importante para algunas personas que le venden el alma al diablo como muchos dicen.

   Por eso es que me gustaría hacerle un resumen a la película del 2005 llamada Lord of War, tal vez muchos la recordaran, pero el día de hoy es necesario hablar de ella, porque de nuevo se evidencia la hipocresía política sin importar lo bueno o mala que sean las personas. Por ejemplo, si estas enterado de lo que paso hace algunos meses con una basquetbolista famosa que le descubrieron aceite mágico mientras estaba en Rusia, esto llevo a que el gobierno de estados unidos hiciera un acuerdo con Rusia para intercambiar prisioneros por la mujer deportista, ¿y a quien pidió Rusia? pues al temido señor de la guerra de la cual Nicolas Cage interpreto en la película del 2005. El nombre real del señor de la guerra es: Viktor Bout quien llevaba más de una década preso por tráfico de armas y terrorismo en todo el mundo. Claro, esto ya se está viendo como una noticia de la BBC jaja, pero lo quería destacar era la historia real detrás de la película, de la que hablaremos a continuación.

So he manages with some contacts to get his first sale, an Israeli Uzi to a local mobster, then he realizes that this is the business of his life, then he wants more as he plans to sell weapons in a big way not only to small mafias, but to countries at war and boy at that time in the middle of the cold war and with many conflicts raging and others to start, he had a lot of work to do, so little by little he manages to sell to countries at war, but everything gets complicated when Yuri Orlov gets more and more involved and also when he has the interpol chasing him at all costs and starts to break his precious rules of arms trafficking.    Lord of War comienza con una breve cinemática del recorrido de una bala desde que se crea hasta que es disparada por un rifle AK-47 y se impacta en la cabeza de un niño en la guerra. Luego entra en escena Yuri Orlov que vive una vida muy infeliz, donde no se siente satisfecho ni realizado, ya que no quiere trabajar en el restaurante de su familia y tiene ambiciones de lograr conquistar a una super modelo de la que siempre ha estado enamorado. Pero la vida de Yuri Orlov comienza a cambiar repentinamente cuando un día presencia un asesinato de mafias y allí se da cuenta de que su propósito en la vida era saciar la necesidad del ser humano de pelear proveyéndoles armas. Así que se las arregla con algunos contactos para conseguir su primera venta, una Uzi Israelí a un mafioso local, entonces se da cuenta de que eso es el negocio de su vida, entonces quiere más ya que planea vender armas de manera grande no solo a pequeñas mafias, sino a países en guerra y vaya que en ese entonces en medio de la guerra fría y con muchos conflictos en carne viva y otros por comenzar, tenía mucho trabajo que hacer, así que poco a poco consigue vender a países en guerra, pero todo se complica cuando Yuri Orlov se involucra cada vez más y tambien cuando tiene a la interpol persiguiéndolo a toda costa y comienza a romper sus preciadas reglas de tráfico de armas. Pero si quieres ver el desenlace de esta historia te invito a ver esta película y que puedas hacer tus propias conclusiones de una ventana a lo que pasa día a día alrededor de nosotros.

   Ok, ahora hablemos de como la trama de la película es sumamente impactante. Y esto pasa porque es increíble como el negocio de las armas beneficia hasta las más altas esferas de la política y como se venden armas de un bando a otro, por ejemplo, en una escena Yuri Orlov menciona que vendía armas israelís a los musulmanes, municiones comunistas a los fascistas, y que sus armas se ubicaban en 8 de las principales guerras del mundo en los años 80's claro con total conocimiento de los gobiernos y ambos bandos de la guerra que necesitaban a gritos las armas de Yuri Orlov. Comento una vez más que esta película es como una especie de burla o sátira de la sociedad política y lo que vemos actualmente en guerras como la de ucrania donde algunas personas poderosas siempre necesitan que haya guerras para así vender armas, ya que es allí donde hacen millones de dólares, ya que es irónico que dinero para armas siempre hay, pero para reconstruir ciudades siempre se tarda en llegar o hay muchas trabas.

   Pero hablando de otra cosa, Nicolas Cage, lo hace muy bien en esta película interpretando a Yuri, en escenas de miedo, de emoción, de tristeza o de ansiedad, todas las hace muy pero muy bien por eso, aunque hayan pasado más de 15 años desde que se estrenó, aun el día de hoy siglo reflejando una triste y dolorosa realidad de los políticos.    Hola Hivers amantes de las películas y series, en esta ocasión les quiero comentar sobre una película que me tiene ya algunos años desde su lanzamiento, me parece una muy buena producción que nos muestra realidades que muchas veces ignoramos pero que se viven en nuestro mundo, en esta ocasión especial le quiero hacer un pequeño resumen y un análisis con lo que nos muestra la película, tratando de sacar algunas lecciones que nos pueda dar El Señor de la Guerra.

   Esta película también es conocida como Hombre Peligroso en Latinoamérica, es dirigida por Andrew Niccol y estrenada en el año 2005. Esta producción de alrededor de 122 minutos se encuentra dentro del género de drama y suspenso, incluyendo la acción dentro del subgénero bélico en la trama. Cuenta con la actuación del famoso actor Nicolas Cage como protagonista, cuya buena actuación hace de esta producción una película bastante entretenida.

   Yuri Orlov es un inmigrante que viene de la Unión Soviética a tener una mejor vida a los Estados Unidos, sin embargo, descubre el negocio del tráfico de armas, esta peligrosa actividad lo lleva a una vida de lujos, conocerá los peligros en este negocio viajando a todo el mundo, conociendo peligrosos clientes, huyendo de las investigaciones de la justicia y enfrentándose a sus competidores en este negocio.

   Comienzos:

   La vida de Yuri Orlov cambia por completo luego de presenciar un ajuste de cuentas entre bandas, siendo un inmigrante soviético sus finanzas no estaban pasando por su mejor momento para principios de los años 80´s, en ese encuentro con armas y balas se da cuenta que ambos bandos perdieron, por otro lado el único ganador de ese encuentro sangriento era el vendedor de esas armas, a salvo se podía gastar el dinero de causado por ese sangriento encuentro, decide entrar en el negocio de las armas.

   Yuri comienza con transacciones pequeñas, entiende que tiene habilidad para este negocio, logra vender en un terreno donde muchos no se atreverían, comienza a ver el dinero dejado por sus pequeñas operaciones y decide expandirse, recluta a su hermano Vitaly Orlov para hacer de este nuevo proyecto algo grande.

   En una exposición de armas en Alemania conoce a uno de los vendedores de armas más conocidos para el momento, Simeon Weisz, el cual mezclaba la venta de armas con la política, este famoso vendedor no quiere realizar negocios con un novato como Yuri que apenas está comenzando en la venta de armas, así que Yuri decide seguir si camino solo, sin embargo, trabajando primero con pequeñas ventas con la meta de ser un gran distribuidor armamentístico.

   Guerra del Líbano

   Yuri hace tratos en un conflicto en el Líbano, podemos ver al protagonista pesando armas de segunda mano que irían directamente a sus compradores, en estas escenas podemos ver a Yuri sobornando a altos mandos militares para poder realizar sus transacciones, el soborno rebajaría considerablemente sus ventas, sin embargo, le daba la oportunidad de obtener una cuota de mercado en este conflicto, evidentemente para realizar este tipo de negocios los sobornos serian una parte clave para el éxito.

   En este conflicto tanto Yuri como su hermano presencian un fusilamiento a unos jóvenes, esto hace que Vitaly se sienta responsable, incluso saca su arma para interferir en ese brutal fusilamiento, sin embargo, Yuri le argumenta que no es asunto de ellos, ellos solamente suministran las armas, tal vez en este punto sabemos que Vitaly en realidad se encontraba en un negocio en el cual no podría dejar sus sentimientos a un lado presenciando los horrores de la guerra.

   El Negocio Prospera

   Yuri sabe que los conflictos armados significan más dinero para él, así que busca entregar armas a cada bando del conflicto, llegando a un punto que varias guerras contaban con las armas suministradas por Yuri. El dinero llegaba a sus manos de manera constante e hizo crecer su influencia en el mundo armamentístico.

   Para prosperar debía ser cuidadoso con la justicia, a pesar de que los sobornos era algo acostumbrado, debía siempre estar alerta, en un conteiner se encontraba el corazón de su organización, pasaportes y documentación falsa, dinero, armas y todo lo que necesitaba para entrar a otro país sin ser detectado por la justicia.

   En una de las escenas vemos como ante una arremetida del FBI para incautar su mercancía Yuri estaba completamente preparado, en un par de minutos le cambió el nombre y la bandera al barco, una jugaba bastante resaltante, además, poseía un contenedor lleno de papas que para encubrir las armas, ante esta situación los agentes se retiraron sin pruebas y con las manos vacías.

   Vitaly y las Drogas

   Observamos como uno de los clientes de Yuri le realiza un pago con cocaína pura, no era parte del trato pero por una agresiva disuasión Yuri acepta, sin embargo, es Vitaly el que sucumbe ante la droga, este posteriormente es llevado a un centro de rehabilitación pagado por Yuri para su recuperación.

   Los Gastos Aumentan

   Yuri decide conquistar a la mujer de su vida, Ava Fontaine, una modelo exitosa que siempre estuvo en el pensamiento del protagonista. Para impresionarla Yuri reserva todo un hotel para acercarse a ella y tratar de impresionarla con dinero, lo cual logra y mantiene una vida llena de lujos que se traducían en deudas, por lo cual no era sustentable su situación económica, debía conseguir un nuevo rumbo en su negocio que le generara más ingresos.

   Caída de la Unión Soviética

   Esto suponía que muchas de las armas dentro de los almacenes de la extinta unión soviética estaban disponibles para venderse, este caso real también lo explico en un análisis que realicé sobre la película War Dogs, muchos países se encontraban en dificultades económicas y la venta de estas armas suponía algo de efectivo, traficantes como Yuri se encontraban en un paraíso para la comercialización de las armas, teniendo en cuenta que Yuri contaba con un tío que era alto mando militar, este le daba privilegios a Yuri sobre los otros posibles negociantes, una verdadera ventaja estratégica.

   Su tío muere debido a una bomba que inicialmente era para Yuri, una movida de un antiguo conocido que quería una porción del pastel sobre las armas soviéticas, Weisz. A pesar del asesinato de su tío el sigue vendiendo armas producidas en la guerra fría su objetivo principal son los países africanos en conflicto dominados por dictadores despiadados.

   África

   Este continente suponía una mar de billetes para Yuri, los conflictos nunca cesaban, las guerras entre tribus y bandas era algo verdaderamente lucrativo para traficantes como Yuri, sin embargo, la interpol le guardaba una sorpresa, interceptan un avión en territorio africano y Yuri hace aterrizar el avión en una carretera, para deshacerse de la evidencia Yuri le dice a la gente que les regala las armas, sin evidencia no podrían hacer nada, incluso en 24 horas, el tiempo que Yuri duró detenido y esposado el avión fue totalmente desmantelado.

   En áfrica contaba con un excelente comprador, un despiadado dictador que necesitaba armas para aplastar a los rebeldes, este le demuestra una gran lealtad al entregar en las manos de Yuri a Weisz, aquel hombre que asesinó a su tío, pero que ahora se encontraba a merced de Yuri y de su comprador, el cual le hace que le dispare a Weisz para acabar con él.

   La mente de Yuri cambia luego de este suceso, empieza a sentir culpa, no está acostumbrado a disparar las armas, solo a venderlas, sus pensamientos lo ahoga mientras los detectives siguen su pista y le cuentan a su esposa todas las sospechas que tienen contra Yuri.

   Luego de lo sucedido con Weisz y ante la posibilidad de que su esposa se separe de él, Yuri comienza a trabajar honestamente ganando dinero de forma legal, sin embargo, Baptiste, el dictador africano decide visitarlo en su hogar, necesita armas y Yuri puede conseguirlas, le propone un último encargo de armas, el cual Yuri acepta.

   Este encargo iba directamente a un aliado de Baptiste, Yuri nuevamente contrata a su hermano Vitaly para que le acompañe a realizar esta última entrega. Al llegar al lugar se encuentran frente lo que parece ser un campo de refugiados, entienden que las armas que están vendiendo dispararan a esos refugiados desarmados e indefensos, hombres, mujeres y niños seran cruelmente asesinados con las armas que Yuri venderá. Ante esta situación Vitaly le dice a su hermano que no acepte el trato, sin embargo, Yuri le argumenta que esa acción puede costarle la vida a ambos.

   Vitaly, toma una granada y hace explotar uno de los dos camiones con armamento, sin embargo, es acribillado antes de que pueda atentar contra el segundo camión, muriendo antes los ojos de su hermano, a pesar de esta situación Yuri recibe la paga de la mitad restante del armamento y prosiguen a masacrar a las personas en aquel campo de refugiados.

   Yuri vuelve a casa a ante la mirada de los agentes, sin embargo, sus contactos en los altos cargos le hacen un hombre intocable por la justicia. A pesar de sufrir la pérdida de su hermano, el alejamiento de su familia y de los riesgos que conlleva el oficio Yuri decide seguir siendo un “Señor de La Guerra”

   Historia Real

   En esta película se nos muestra un aspecto oscuro de la sociedad, sobre todo los que buscan enriquecerse a costa de las masacres y el derramamiento de sangre. Esta historia es basada en hechos reales, el personaje interpretado por Cage se llama Yuri Orlov, este personaje es basado en Víktor But, conocido como el mercader de la muerte, aún existen dudas de su país de nacimiento y otros aspectos debido a que siempre cambiaba de identidad y de documentación para pasar desapercibido.

   Es detenido en Tailandia en el año 2008 y extraditado en el 2010, en Estados Unidos es condenado a 25 años de cárcel en el año 2012, se presume que las redes de este traficante de armas también hayan llegado a las FARC en Colombia.

   Los señores de la guerra existen y se enriquecen de las guerras, este aspecto es muy notorio en el continente africano, sobre todo en los países que llevan muchos años en medio de guerras civiles, estos señores de la guerra no se conforma con venderle a un solo bando, sino que le suministran armas a ambos bandos para que se asesinen entre sí.

   Es común ver países de ese continente con grandes riquezas naturales como oro y diamantes, sin embargo, sin la estabilidad política y social es difícil que la inversión privada pueda ayudar a explotar esas riquezas que beneficiarían a los pueblos, por otro lado a los señores de la guerra no les interesa que acaben las guerras civiles en estos países, pues sus bolsillos se siguen llenando.

   I have to say that this is one of my favorite U.S.-made films of all time. I can't believe that Nick Cage is in it either because my goodness is he terrible in so many other films.

   

   The story follows the life of Yuri Orlov, a Ukrainian immigrant to America, and his rise to power inside international arms trading and the many internal struggles that he faces including the fact that he is completely aware that his weapons are being used to kill innocent civilians in war-torn Africa.

   Now here is something I didn't know until years later and it is important to understand: The conflicts in Africa that he is supplying the weapons to were real conflicts and very real tragedies, but as it turns out Yuri is a completely made up person based on the lives of several different people. There is much speculation about how his character was primarily based on Victor Bout and as fate would have it Victor was actually captured 25 later in Thailand of all places.

   Back to the film:

   The opening sequence of the film is brilliantly shot (no pun intended) and then the rest of the story is told fluidly and in an entertaining and easy-to-understand manor. Nick Cage narrates over the parts that the actual action can not adequately explain and while many people say this is a lazy way to make films, it is incredibly necessary in my opinion.

   Jared Leto (who i think is a much better actor than Nick) plays Yuri's troubled, but far more ethical brother, Vitaly. Their relationship in the film does a lot for the overall story and I think selecting Leto for the role was a very wise decision on the part of the producers. Likely a better decision that selecting Nick Cage. I mean have you seen the "bees!" scene in the completely unneeded remake of "The Wicker Man?"

   This film came out in 2005 and I believe the story it portrays is still relevant now and likely always will be until the world decides to stop killing people. I think we all know that this, sadly, is unlikely.
