Point Break

Review by @jeff001 · 2848d · of Point Break

No Fear.

This was done before a lot of the CGI these days and hence uses surf beaches for the settings for various action scenes. We do have plenty of action scenes, from bank robberies, various chases, and parachuting.

The movie came after some of the excesses of the 80's and hence highlights a different lifestyle, one that isn't focused on material things but rather experiences and pushing the limits.

Given it was the early 90's there may be some that haven't seen it. Basically, we have some bank robbers that use masks based on ex-presidents. One of the FBI's leads points towards surfers/people that spend a large amount of time outdoors.

So they send in an agent to go undercover and learn if there is any substance to this lead. The agent becomes friends with the leader of one of the surfer groups, and begins to experience the freedom associated with the lifestyle. Will he still be able to bring them in once he has proof of their crimes?
