Nothing really special.
Yes, this seems to be a typical follow the movies making script to earn some money without doing anything really new or different. They did inject a little humour into the movie which was nice but being a guy the best parts are with Jamie Lee Curtis. In particular the striptease and the fight with Tia Carrere in the limo.
Here we have Harry (Arnie) playing spy that has kept his life a secret from his wife and family. Harry seems to get pretty much free rain on the missions and has a very high success rate on them.
His life at home is a different matter, as far as his family knows he is dull salesman, his wife is bored, and his daughter is rebellious. His wife has begun seeing another man because she wants to feel alive. Harry learns about this during his latest mission to recover stolen nuclear warheads.
Harry plans a fake kidnapping of his wife, and a "meeting" in a hotel room. This is where his two lives crash into each other, the terrorists capture both Harry and his wife at the hotel. Now he must save his wife and deal with the nuclear weapons at the same time.
Nothing really special?
It's easily one of the best movies ever made.
I'm going to go watch it again right now, in protest.
