A robotic games world.
A fantasy world where you can do anything you want because everyone else is a robot. Sounds like a lot of fun as long as the programs/robots number smooth. There is enough action to keep everyone on their seat even with the relatively low budget. Yul Brynner is the key to this movie, he plays the part of robotic assassin that no longer wants to die very, very well.I think that they could have done a few sequels to this as there was also Medievalworld and Romanworld that were mentioned in the movie as other holiday destinations.
Now we have a human against a faster and stronger human robot that wants justice for all of his deaths and to stop the game permanently. Can the humans out fight, out think, and out last a machine? Sound a little like terminator? Could have been part of the inspiration.
