    A robotic games world.

A fantasy world where you can do anything you want because everyone else is a robot. Sounds like a lot of fun as long as the programs/robots number smooth. There is enough action to keep everyone on their seat even with the relatively low budget. Yul Brynner is the key to this movie, he plays the part of robotic assassin that no longer wants to die very, very well.

I think that they could have done a few sequels to this as there was also Medievalworld and Romanworld that were mentioned in the movie as other holiday destinations.

Set in the future we have an amusement park for rich holiday makers that want to live out their fantasies. The key to the theme park are the robots that look like humans and make everything real. The action really begins when the computer has a glitch and the main villain a robot starts to play to the fullest of his abilities.

Now we have a human against a faster and stronger human robot that wants justice for all of his deaths and to stop the game permanently. Can the humans out fight, out think, and out last a machine? Sound a little like terminator? Could have been part of the inspiration.

  3. Westworld (1973) by Michael Crichton (REVIEW)@lost1082806d

Westworld is a futuristic amusement park where people can go and have real western fun. The idea was to create cool robots that can entertain the visitors but something went wrong with the robots and due malfunction things go terrible wrong.

The story is about two guys that decided to go for a vacation to this Westworld amusement park so they can live a Wild West adventure among robots that look exactly the same as humans. But after the robotic malfunction they are trapped and they are trying to get out of the park while they are being chased by a robot that wants to kill them.

I think that this was my first western movie, I think I watched it like 15 years ago on a channel called TCM, the channel still exists and they play old good western movies and other classical movies as well, which is very nice.

I was so afraid of the robot called “Gunslinger” played by Yul Brynner, the guy had a deadly look on his face, perfect fit for this role, I still have nightmares from his role and I think I will never going to forget the final scene with the fire, oh boy, that was so clever and scary at the same time.

I am not much into western movies but every movie can change that, so I really love this one cause it’s a part of my childhood and it has a great story directed by Michael Crichton. You should watch it.
