Hello cinema lovers. Today I want to talk about one more superhero movie, as I have been doing for several weeks now, but in this particular we will talk about one of the few successes that Marvel Studios has achieved with a solo character in this century. Produced by this great studio and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, this film achieved an impressive success at the box office, surpassing by far the billion dollars and getting dozens of nominations and awards, either for its production, its performances, its script or its incredible visual effects. Starring the great Chadwick Boseman, the film features a cast of actors such as Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya and many more. So let's talk about "the best superhero movie of today", as stated by a critic talking about Black Panther.

    Plot

The film begins by telling us the origin of the "Black Panther", a human being who ingested a "heart-shaped herb" that came in contact with a meteorite formed by vibranium (a very powerful metal that has been used many times in the Marvel Studios Universe) and obtained an incomparable power. He became the leader of Wakanda, a nation formed by uniting several African tribes. For millennia, the Wakandans have used vibranium to create technologies never before seen in the world, which made their nation quite advanced. However, they managed to hide from the eye of the world along with their technology by pretending to be a "third world country" so as not to have problems with other interested nations.

Back to the present day, the former king of Wakanda, T'Chaka, passed away after what happened in "Captain America: Civil War", so his son, T'Challa, decides to return to his country to be crowned as the next king and the next "Black Panther". However, during his coronation, one of the leaders of the assembled tribes confronts him in a duel, which he subsequently loses to the new king, thus demonstrating his great strength and keeping his throne. But his father's past will come to condemn his son when he sees that a group of rebels are stealing Wakandan technology to sell it on the black market to Africans around the world. Their leader is a very dangerous former U.S. soldier who seeks to obtain the Wakandan throne.

    SPANISH VERSION

    Trama

    Trailer & Review

Below, I will leave you the trailer of the movie:

    20240522_150315_0000.png

For being just one of the first stand-alone Marvel Studios superhero installments, with no cameos and no popular or well-known cast, the success of this film is incredible and even more so today. Undoubtedly, the superhero franchise was at its peak at this time, after the incredible success that was "Civil War" with cameos like Spider-Man and Black Panther. While the loss of actor Chadwick Boseman a few years after the release of this movie was unfortunate, in addition to a couple of other cameos, what he managed to do with the character of T'Challa in this story remained as a great memory and one of the best heroes ever played and seen on the big screen. This movie is a masterpiece for many critics, either for its great visual effects, its great soundtrack or simply for its great script and acting.

While I'm not a big fan of this movie, apart from remembering only having seen it a couple of times, it is true to admit that in terms of script, production and acting, this film has something that stands out from the other major productions that Marvel Studios has achieved in recent years. And we are not only talking about its cast, which does very well, starting with Chadwick Boseman, playing the protagonist, T'Challa, a son who shortly after suffering the loss of his beloved father has to assume a great responsibility which is to become the new king of Wakanda and be the new Black Panther. The combination of leadership with power that he acquires makes him reflect a lot on what he has to be for his nation, for his family and for the people he has to protect and guide from now on, trying to develop a vision of a future that would completely change the interests and principles that everyone has, giving way to a new era.

The great impact this character has on the audience is tremendous, since apart from teaching us to forgive and overcome the pains of the past, he also shows us how to face problems and take on new responsibilities with a different vision and ideal, always thinking of those around us. The other actors also do a very good job of acting, one as the wife who is always there to advise the hero and king, both in good times and bad; the younger sister supporting him and helping him with her skill and intelligence; and his mother who guides her son to walk on the best path. On the other hand, the villain of this film, played by Michael B. Jordan, is one of those who, although he shows a very excellent development, with a solid purpose of revenge that was engendered from a very young age when his father was betrayed and executed, the end that he has I don't think I like so much (maybe because I think that in the end they "nerfed him for the sake of the plot"). However, he left us a great "Meme" that is still being used today.

Apart from the characters and the script of this movie, another thing that I like a lot is the excellent work in visual effects and CGI that this film has. In some moments you can notice that some scenes were made 100% CGI, but they are so well done that you can hardly notice it (a brutal difference compared to works that Marvel Studios itself has done with a terrible CGI in the last 3 years). There is also the design of Black Panther's costumes, which I like quite a lot, especially the last one that has a detail that fascinates me by being able to accumulate energy or strong impacts and then release them as a defense/attack system. The sound effects are very well done and it is fascinating to listen to them combined with each scenario. The soundtrack of this movie, which won one or another award, is a marvel, which goes with the beat of the above mentioned elements to make this film a wonderful audiovisual masterpiece worth enjoying. In short, this movie is one of those distinct and interesting superhero stories worth watching.

Personally, I give it a 9/10 rating as far as the action/sci-fi genre is concerned.

Tell me, have you seen this movie and what did you think of it? You can leave me your answer in the comments.

  2. Black Panther - With a bridge from the past to the present, the science fiction genre@cute-cactus795d

Hello everyone, the reason why I have not been active enough for the last week is that I have built a new desktop pc and encountered some problems during the installations. Actually, I would be able to convey the problem more clearly as the purchase, assembly and installation phases.

    [source](https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/6ELJEzQJ3Y45HczvreC3dg0GV5R.jpg)

Anyway, all the mishaps have been fixed and now I am here permanently and I will try to be active as long as my health allows. Unlike the laptop I have been using for 12 years, the desktop computer makes all my work much easier. Or if we start from the fact that everything new is loved, looking at a new monitor, using a new and fast computer may be appealing to me for now. I hope I don't look for my laptop that doesn't lock me in one spot and that I can carry anywhere I want.

I watched my first movie with my nephews on the new monitor, which is much bigger than the old one. My nephew, who is 16 years old, chose the movie and his choice did not disappoint me, because my expectation was that it would definitely be one of the Marvel heroes. Released in 2018, the movie Black Panther appeals to him, if not to me. Personally, I try to avoid watching comic books or movies with similar heroes as much as possible. I think I have a prejudice against those genres and I haven't been able to break that prejudice except for a few movies.

In the past, I used to follow cartoons and comics like He-man, Superman, Thor with incredible pleasure and I enjoyed every single one of them. Maybe I think that cartoon heroes should remain as cartoons. I've never questioned myself about these things and I've never thought about the reasons, and frankly it's not something I'm very interested in!

    [source](https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/sIwFcU1pql5a3LdZGxsRKi9JfTL.jpg)

Overall, I was quite satisfied with Black Panther, which I watched because of my nephew's preference. The movie went in a direction contrary to my expectations. I liked the fiction and the story. I liked the scenes where the hero emerged and his ethnic origins were explained. I can't say that I had a hard time being convinced of the existence of a separate part in the existing world instead of building a separate world. This was my favorite part of the movie's fiction and I can say that I was very interested in it. The challenge scene was amazing and the place where the challenge took place was incredibly beautiful. If I'm going to die, I should die in a place like that! Haha.

The locations, editing and effects of the movie were quite remarkable. Despite the advanced technology, the use of local figures and costumes took the atmosphere of the movie to the past. In fact, instead of taking us back to the past, I would be more accurate if I say that it built a bridge between the past and the present.

Chadwick Boseman, who plays the character of T'challa, was the most important carrying element of the movie with his flawless performance, from the appearance of a distributor of justice with his fair attitude to the appearance of a son who respects his ancestors and a loyal lover. Watching him and following the repercussions of his decisions on the flow of the story was a joy to watch. The action scenes he was in were memorable as the most precious moments of the movie and the best one was, I repeat, the challenge scene.

    [source](https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/knxUK5U1qzxuYuGv1Zd9YdsOcq1.jpg)

I watched Black Panther to please my nieces and nephews and have a good time with them, but the movie turned around and ended up with them entertaining me. We all liked the movie and commented amongst ourselves on almost every scene. I won't talk about them since most of the comments were mocking the movie and some of the characters.

We admired the atmosphere in some of the scenes involving traditional and cultural activities. The loyalty of the tribe members, their loyalty when questioned and valid answers were received, rather than unconditional obedience, was a message. If you haven't seen the movie Black Panther yet, you should definitely watch it. The atmosphere created and the more realistic story is well worth the time spent.

Thank you for being here and reading. I wish everyone who will watch the movie a good time. I hope you enjoy the movie and have a good time. See you again; goodbye!

    [Source](https://images.thedirect.com/media/article_full/black-panther-wakanda-forever-mcu-marvel-studios-angela-bassett.jpg)

Hello friends, I'm here with another interesting movie titled Black panther and I would like to share with you.

The movie is about a man who, faced with treachery and danger, he must release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

It begins Thousands of years ago, five African tribes war over a meteorite containing the metal vibranium.

One warrior ingests a “heart-shaped herb” affected by the metal and gains superhuman abilities, becoming the first “Black Panther”.

He unites all but the Jabari Tribe to form the nation of Wakanda.

Over centuries, the Wakanda used vibranium to develop advanced technologies and isolate themselves from the world by posing as an underdeveloped country.

In 1992, Wakanda king T'Chaka visits his brother N'jobu, who is working undercover in Oakland, California.

T'Chaka accuses N'Jobu of assisting black-market arms dealer Ulysses klaue with stealing vibranium from Wakanda.

N'Jobu's partner reveals he is Zuri, another undercover Wakanda and confirms T'Chaka's suspicions.

In the present day, following T'Chaka's death, his son T'Challa returns to Wakanda to assume the throne.

He and Okoye, leader of the Dora Milaje, extract T'Challa's ex-lover Nakia from an undercover assignment so she can attend his coronation ceremony with his mother Ramonda and younger sister Shuri.

At the ceremony, the Jabari Tribe's leader M'Baku challenges T'Challa for the crown in ritual combat. T'Challa defeats M'Baku and persuades him to yield rather than die.

When Klaue and his accomplice Erik Stevens steal a Wakanda artifact from a London museum, T'Challa's friend and Okoye's husband W'Kabi urges him to bring Klaue back alive.

T'Challa, Okoye, and Nakia travel to Busan, South Korea, where Klaue plans to sell the artifact to CIA agent Everett K. Ross.

A firefight erupts and Klaue attempts to flee but is caught by T'Challa, who reluctantly releases him to Ross's custody.

Klaue tells Ross that Wakanda's international image is a front for a technologically advanced civilization.

Erik attacks and extracts Klaue as Ross is gravely injured protecting Nakia. Rather than pursue Klaue, T'Challa takes Ross to Wakanda, where their technology can save him.

While Shuri heals Ross, T'Challa confronts Zuri about N'Jobu, as Erik was wearing a necklace that were his.

Zuri explains that N'Jobu had grown disillusioned with Wakanda's isolationism and planned to share Wakanda's technology with people of African descent around the world to help them conquer their oppressors with the help of Klaue.

Before T'Chaka could arrest N'Jobu, the latter attacked Zuri and forced T'Chaka to kill him.

T'Chaka ordered Zuri to lie that N'Jobu had disappeared and left behind N'Jobu's American son N'Jadaka to maintain the lie.

This boy grew up to be Erik, a black ops U.S. Navy SEAL who adopted the nickname “Killmonger”.

Meanwhile, Killmonger kills Klaue and takes his body to Wakanda. He is brought before the tribal elders, revealing his identity to be N'Jadaka and stating his claim to the throne.

Killmonger challenges T'Challa to ritual combat, where he kills Zuri, badly injures T'Challa, and hurls him over a waterfall.

Find out what happened next as Killmonger challenges T'Challa to ritual combat and badly injures him and hurls him over a waterfall as the movie gets interesting.

    Thanks for reading my post.

Even though there's a general state of fatigue when it comes to the MCU, I've always found it quite important not to lose perspective on the good things he's cultivated over the years... Beyond bringing interconnected superhero cinema to the mainstream market, on several occasions it was the recipient of many creative stories, which took advantage of the lore to entertain instead of forcing Easter eggs and silly references.

Black Panther was a curious work that emerged in one of the best moments of the MCU, Civil War had permeated a huge sector of the population that previously ignored these films and the tapes that came later (Ragnarok and Infinity War) gave their directors a level of creative freedom that we could never have imagined before.

Ryan Coogler was one of the filmmakers who made the most of this philosophy, presenting us with a unique side of the Marvel universe where Wakanda is the protagonist: a love letter to everything that represents African culture.

Although on the surface Black Panther is one more superhero movie within the extensive list, a more abstract analysis reveals the large number of moral and sociological conflicts it contains, addressing racism and nationalism from a very particular perspective, where a very small and specific portion of the African population (and their descendants) was found to have historically benefited.

This premise is used to forge one of the most interesting villains in the infinity saga: Killmonger, a man with clearly defined desires and fears who has the right ideas but extremely questionable methods.

Black Panther is an accumulation of positive decisions that are rarely seen within Marvel studios: it is visually impressive, it takes its time to immerse us in a world that skillfully mixes science fiction and political realism, and makes us connect with characters. who have postures diametrically opposed to those of the central hero.

A unique soundtrack, which mixes traditional African sounds with modern rap and unique compositions by artists such as The Weeknd or Kendrick Lamar, contributes a lot to its case, as I said before, it is a love letter to an entire culture.

    _99964260_mediaitem99964259 (1).jpg Source

The defects exist, the climax feels the need to resolve all the conflicts with a CGI battle of rather poor quality and the moments of humor (Although they are not excessive) hardly penetrate the viewer. Obviously, none of these problems permeates the quality of the work in general in an excessive way, an interesting piece within a cinematographic universe whose sequel I hope I managed to maintain the quality when it finally releases in a couple of days.

A variety of known and unknown mysteries are created among people with information about a small number of things that happen in the world. And when the people of the world come to know about a precious secret, greed, abuse, revenge, killing and destructive fighting and other activities that threaten the world are seen in the minds of people. And such destructive and hostile mentality is created in human mind only when unexpected danger comes in one's life in childhood and when one grows up tragically as an orphan.

And thus, age after age, the continuous hostile life of people has reached to the present day. We naturally know that most people in the world are now greedy and selfish. As a result, we don't want to tell anyone if we suddenly find something valuable. However, when people need to be informed, people will be able to know, but as we humans have very little patience, many times it is seen that people get greedy and do many unexpected things. As a result, there is a huge negative impact on people and the earth. Some actual scenes of which we can see through today's movie review of Marble Studios.

    Movie Review:

The movie begins with the birth of the city of Wakanda, the city's lust for vibranium, and a soldier king Black Panther ruling the city of Wakanda with the superpowers of the Panther Godest. And then it is seen that King Black Panther goes to visit his younger brother whom he kicked out of Wakanda and the younger brother offers the king an illegal job, when the king refuses, the younger brother attacks the king and is forced to kill the younger brother there for the crime. . But this leaves the king's younger brother Eric orphaned and preparing to take over Wakanda. Eric then invades Wakanda and introduces himself as his father as the king of the kingdom, accusing King T'Challa of being the son of a murderer. This leads to a fight for the kingdom between the two brothers, where Erik, thinking he killed T'Challa several hundred feet down, becomes the king of Wakanda according to the rules and works to smuggle vibranium around the world. But luckily T'Challa survives and has a wonderful fight with Eric to become the king of Wakanda again. At the end of the episode, King T'Challa decides to use and control all the advanced technology of the city of Wakanda for the good of the common people, and the movie ends with his implementation.

    Comment:

Well, I don't know if vibranium is really such a valuable element of the world. However, through the movie, the director has managed to convey some of the power of vibranium in a very beautiful way. The story of the movie, the action and background music of the movie and the continuous technological happenings are well liked. On top of that, through the story of the movie, how greed, enmity, abuse of power for self-interest, struggle for power and all these things can be managed in the movie Black Panther, which I really liked. It would be nice to know how those of you who have seen the movie liked the movie.

    THANK YOU .

One of the things I miss while pandemic is still here is watching movies in theaters. I usually go to cinema when there are superhero movies from Marvel and DC showing. The last time I went to the cinema was in 2019, less than a year before Covid19 came.

Of course, I have some movies in mind to watch before pandemic but things changed now. The last movie I watched in theater has been "Avengers: Endgame". The film is epic, though there are sad moments when Iron Man died, though the movie still had a great ending for the series.

As Marvel is set for the next phase of its cinematic universe, it's sad that the character of T'Challa as the Black Panther is now out. That's because Chadwick Boseman who portrayed the role has already passed away. It can be remembered that T'Challa, with Chadwick Boseman, was seen in four MCU movies.

We cannot expect T'Challa on the upcoming "Black Panther" movie. Hopefully, the remaining characters can carry the movie. It seems it will be much more focused on Wakanda nation.

Marvel is certainly a universe, the one who decided to call it that way really got it right because it is so big that fascinates and excites us every thing we discover, gave life to machismos comics and a few movies in the cinema and those missing, a few days ago I learned of an initiative created by @isabellav505, the theme is to talk about your favorite Avenger, wao is not easy the choice because they are all great plus some are gorgeous, on the other hand, the girls are super cute and powerful. If you want to participate, here is the original publication so you can have a better idea of what it's all about, reading the idea of its creator. Now to what I came to after much thought my favorite Avenger is:

    Bienvenidos a mi blog 2 idiomas.png

    Pantera Negra

    Black Panther

The first time I saw T'Challa was in his appearance in the movie Captain America: Civil War, he immediately caught my attention because of his costume and the agile and fast way he moves. In fact we discover that Black Panther and T'Challa are the same after the end of the pursuit of Bucky in this film, in this first appearance the prince has lost his peace by the sudden death of his father and seeks to catch the one he believes guilty, at any cost, but then he realizes the damage that causes revenge to be so harmful to the one who seeks it, He decides to let go and look for another type of solution, trusting in justice and refusing to take revenge by his own hand, also in this first appearance after realizing that both Bucky and his father were victims, he decides to give shelter and protection to those who in principle he considered his enemies, leaving us with an incredible thirst to know more of this great character.

In the same way, in the movie dedicated to this character (Black Panther) we can see a young prince who becomes King after the sudden death of his father and returns home to fulfill the tradition prior to the coronation where the tribes that make up Wakanda must bring a challenger for a possible fight with the heir if he is not considered worthy or fit to be King, There only the leader of the Jabari tribe challenges them and T'Challa shows that he has a heart by insisting after his obvious defeat that it is better to surrender than to lose his life because his people need him.

This character is wonderful to me as he discovers a dark secret about his father that greatly affects the admiration he had for him, this affects him so much that when he fights his cousin who is full of spite and hate, he loses and is left for dead, but when he was about to give up his life, after talking to the previous panthers he realizes that he must return to change the way he has been reigned in and more when he knows that his country can help, to make the world a better place for many.

I love about this character that he is a noble young man, big hearted and reaches out to those in need, he loves his family and country, plus his general is a woman, that's great and in the middle of the battle they hold with Thanos in Avengers Infinity Wars, he encourages Ayo, his general to get up from the ground with obvious appreciation and tenderness, a few minutes before disappearing along with half of his troops after Thanos' snap, something that to me particularly saddens me.

Now,it's not all bad as he is the first avenger to appear after the snap in Avengers: Endgame, along with his sister and his loyal general by his side, giving his war cries to his army, it's an epic scene, as Wakanda is loyal to the cause thanks to all that Captain America lived and showed him.

I can not leave without remembering what this film implied for all African descendants in the world, the reason although we are in the 21st century, racism is still alive and is palpable everywhere so see on the big screen a film focused on African descendants and with more than 80% of actors of color is something that for those of us who are of African descent and have suffered for our skin color, Many were the signs of sympathy towards this character and the one who embodied him, the late actor Chadwick Boseman, who gave life to this character and before that to Jackie Robinson, among other films and series in which he participated.

Finally, I can not say goodbye without inviting at least two people to participate and the chosen victims were: @ilaz and @ to tell us which is their favorite Avenger, now I go where I came hoping that if my publication was to your liking leave me a comment

Black Panther is a movie that I really liked when I went to watch it at the cinema with my daughter and my nephews. I must admit that I am not a big fan of superhero movies even though I have seen almost all of them, but for me, this movie was very special as I found it exciting and fun. I was very saddened by the news of the death of Chadwick Boseman, the protagonist of these films, not only because he was a hero to everyone, but also because I was also looking forward to the sequel.

    image.png

Black Panther is a 2018 superhero movie based on the Marvel character of the same name. This film is about T'Challa, the successor to the throne of Wakanda, a fictional African country with high technology and that is hidden from the world to protect it. The king of Wakanda is the protector of this country, also having to carry the Black Panther suit, a high-tech armor that gives its wearer extraordinary abilities.

    image.png

T'Challa's father just died, so it's only fair that he take the throne and the position as Black Panther. However, a new successor arrives in Wakanda, a man who grew up in the outside world, in the United States, and who challenges our protagonist to a duel for the throne.

    image.png

This movie is very exciting with spectacular action that made me applaud at the cinema. It is a very important film for the black community as the spectacular costumes (winner of an Oscar) are beautifully ingrained in African culture. It's very impressive how they bring technology and these costumes together.

The soundtrack is also very impressive, managing to also win an Oscar. The music was composed by the composer Ludwig Göransson, who decided to go to Africa to achieve his own sound, tied to this country but with a modern touch.

    image.png

As wonderful as the staging and action scenes were, part of the best was undoubtedly Chadwick Boseman's performance as the lead and Michael B. Jordan as a fantastic villain.

It is a very important film and we will truly miss this wonderful hero who left a great hole in our hearts after his departure.

    image.png

    Wakanda Forever!

It's a movie that I recommend you watch if you haven't already. It's exciting, and it's the legacy of a great actor and hero.

    image.png

A year ago I told you about what happened in Hollywood about the next Oscars. There was a lot of controversy at the Academy about the decision to include a new category, that of the best popular film. Many people have baptized it as a decision to favor in general films about superheroes and blockbusters, in particular a rule to honor and give a statuette to one of the last Marvel films: Black Panther. The film in question is in these weeks the subject of a huge marketing campaign that sees producers trying to convince the Academy to nominate the film in the best film category even. It would be the first time for a Marvel film. But is this Black Panther really a film worthy of such consideration? Marvel has managed in 10 years to build an unparalleled film empire. There isn't a film that doesn't reach half a billion box office and the consistency and wisdom with which all the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been set in the expanded universe in this decade is impressive. Whether you're a seventh art purist or not, it's undeniable that the MCU operation was a resounding success and you only have to look at the Warner Bros. disaster with the DC comics universe and the various Suicide Squad, Justice League and Batman VS Superman to realize the magnitude and breadth of the operation set up by Marvel when the cinecomics world was nothing more than a rumor. In preparation for what was the most awaited event by fans, Avengers Infinity War, Marvel had decided to focus on introducing a new superhero that we had already seen appear in the beautiful Civil War: Black Panther. There was great expectation around the first feature film starring a black superhero, remembering that on TV this step had already been taken by Marvel itself broadcasting on Netflix Luke Cage. The 2 hours spent in the company of T'challa in Wakanda were enough to reiterate that when Marvel produces something, it doesn't pay and never fails. The first thing that catches the eye watching the film is that the excellent (black) director Ryan Cogler wanted to bet on a cast almost entirely made up of African-American actors with the only exception of one of the villain and the agent played by Martin Freeman. A reversal of roles unthinkable until a few years ago. To imagine that a big production company could invest hundreds of millions for a film starring black heroes would have created embarrassment or fat laughter in Hollywood button theatres. With the passing of the minutes you realize that with Black Panther you wanted to bet a lot on CGI and scary visual effects, with the creation of a whole new world, Wakanda, but that this graphic component was flanked by a narrative that would allow you to tell universally the harassment suffered by the African American people over time and those who still suffer today. The result is a credible story that manages to mix action, drama and introspection. Interesting above all is the contrast between the two heirs to the throne who, borrowed from a genuine desire to make a difference, end up clashing heavily on two opposing visions, one for the preservation of the happy oasis of the hyper-technological and prosperous Wakandan civilization and the other for a war without quarter to those who for centuries have imposed by force and violence on the African American people rules, misery and discrimination. A narrative nucleus that gives vigor to the plot and enriches what in the end is nothing but a great entertainment film. If we see it from this point of view then Black Panther certainly has the right to citizenship in the Oscar zone. Having made this endorsement, however, it must be noted that to nominate such a film for the statuette of best film would be too long a step that would open the way for all the successful blockbusters who aspire to be something more, damaging all the independent and auteur cinema that in the season of the first ones has always been the undisputed leader. The right compromise would therefore be the victory in the new category, with good peace of mind of purists and those who still want a romantic, visceral and able to surprise with images and words more than with skilled computer graphics.

    Black Panther

    Altro  successo  per la Marvel

        Black Power in calzamaglia

  12. The Black Panther - is it worth watching?@unbiasedwriter2780d

As I watched the Black Panther trailer, I remember thinking to myself that the movie doesn't really interest me. But, I have a challenge - I love going to the cinema, and I love eating my nachos while watching.

In other words, I ended up going to the cinema to watch The Black Panther no matter what. In the last two years, I have turned into quite a Marvel fan, and I have done my uttermost to watch as many movies as possible. That is also why I wrote an article about Captain America recently and how I liked him much more after watching the first Captain America movie (I had only seen the newer movies until then).

But, let's return to Black Panther!

    Black Panther online.jpg

    The story of Black Panther

It has been a while since I actually watched The Black Panther in the cinema, but I still remember the movie quite well. To sum it up, the movie didn't make a deep impression on me, and there are many Marvel superheroes I would prefer to the Black Panther.

The story takes us to Wakanda, a place occupied by several tribes and extremely rich due to the vibranium existing in the area. The leader of Wakanda, played by Chadwick Boseman, is also the Black Panther, the superhero of the movie. He has to fight against the antagonist Erik Killmonger (played by Michael Bakari Jordan), a guy you might remember from the Parenthood series and the Creed movies.

The main storyline of the movie portrays the battle between the two of them as they fight for the power over Wakanda.

My thoughts about the Black Panther

I have to admit that I did not become a big fan of the movie. I had a good time watching it, and I liked the fact that this is a "black" super-hero movie. There are some characters I really liked in the movie, especially Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the guard Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o).

The nacho was great (with strong salsa sauce), but the movie lacked humor, and it lacked the tensity that I would expect from such a movie.

I am still a big Marvel fan, and I like these movies a lot, but the Black Panther did not become a new favorite of mine.

Have you seen the Black Panther? How did you enjoy it?

    My Black Panther score:

    6/10

Black Panther impresses in several ways. Structure is one of them.

    p05x8xyq.jpg

The midpoint of the film is a great example of "the first culmination as midpoint."

    andy-serkis-e1513778111809.webp

We get a cascade of events which lead us to a true twist. Not only is the truth of Wakanda coming out as a result of the club chase and Klaue's interrogation, but we also see a tear in relationship between T'Challa and W'Kabi upon the mission's failure.

    XXSOXZG7NVGNLCPR5WH7ONNTUY.jpg

The final curve is our main character's family truth. We find out we have a cousin, powerful, fighting for a cause that may have been born from our own but is now in direct opposition to us--my cousin is my enemy. Our reality has shifted.

  15. Black Panther: I thought it was above average@gooddream2939d

So today I had the luxury of finding a flight on Qatar Airlines - a company that I quite like if the flight is less than 10 hours (simply because there is no such thing as a good 10-hour flight in economy class.) Unlike most of the airlines that I usually travel with, they have a large selection of films in the seat movie thinger and Black Panther, a film I did not have the opportunity to see in the past due to where I live, was one of the choices.

Black-Panther-Movie-Poster-2018-Marvel-Comics-Film-Print-24x36.jpg_640x640.jpg pretty sweet cover art too

Now, keep in mind that I am not a huge Marvel Universe fan. I didn't even see the last 2 Avengers films because I am just not that interested in superhero films despite the fact that I still have a relatively massive comic book collection from when I was a teenager (I preserved them, I need to have a look and see if I have any valuable ones.)

I tend to not like the Marvel stuff because it is normally visually appealing yes, but well, they are all incredibly predictable and since you already know what the ending is going to be, it is just a question as to how the various characters are going to get there and which couple of minor leads are going to get killed in the process.

The story is based around Wakanda, a nation that has kept its highly advanced technology a secret on purpose in the middle of what appears to the rest of the world to be a very poor and undeveloped African nation. They are actually far more advanced than the rest of the planet due primarily to the existence of an element called "vibranium," which they have in abundance but the rest of the world isn't even aware of the substance's existence.

The story is actually a bit slow-moving in the beginning as it is focused around a new king's rise to power in the Wakandan nation. Once they get that out of the way the real story starts to emerge and the coolest character in the movie named Killmonger appears on the scene because he wants revenge on the Wakandans for not righting the wrongs of the world with their technology oh and also to avenge the death of his father. There is not a great deal of backstory given as to how he is aware of the true nature of Wakanda when the rest of the world doesn't know, but he is a badass and I originally thought the actor was a member of the Wayan family.

michael-b-jordan-pays-fan-retainer-broke-shirtless-black-panther.png seriously, he looks like a Wayan doesn't he?

Turns out he is an actor named Michael B. Jordan, and I believe he is the highlight of the film. Perhaps because I like villains.

The action sequences are fantastically done in this movie but I do find it a bit frustrating that vibranium is invulnerable to pretty much everything and people know this but still fire regular weapons at it endlessly in vain. I could have done without the hokey battle-rhinos too as I don't think they really added much to the film.

    tumblr_p4xvfhAb2g1rn94gdo1_500.jpg

I would say that this one is one of the better Marvel films of late and is definitely worth seeing. Just don't expect any sort of mind-blowing plot twists

  17. Black Panther Review – No Spoilers@readingdanvers3037d

    Black Panther 8.jpg

I was wondering whether the movie could live up to all the hype. It did. It was a great movie. The plot, the action – oh boy the action, and even the political discussion to some extent. Although I must say that at some points the CGI looked super fake and I think Marvel can afford better. Still, it was a great movie.

Let’s start with the best thing about this movie – the action. This movie has some of the most original action sequences I’ve seen, and that’s hard to find these days. I guess we have director Ryan Coogler to thank for that. Also, after watching this movie, you will totally understand why Okoye (Danai Gurira) is in Infinity War as well, she is just that good of a fighter. For a movie that has women fighting in dresses, it manages to look both practical and spectacular. Also, the entire South Korea action sequences was unbelievable. Yet I would have liked to see more of this sort of action sequence. The movie has a lot of action in it, but less of these great action scenes.

The Disney – just like Wonder Woman burrowed imagery from Disney’s princesses, this movie burrowed imagery from The Lion King. At some points you there was just a feeling that T'Challa is just Simba, but it was most clear with some of the visual choices. I don’t want to give too much away, because something, surprisingly, the trailers didn’t give away.

    Black Panther 2.jpg

The characters – I loved almost all of the characters. T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) was a great king, who is really great at adapting. His super smart sister Shuri is going to give Stark and Banner some serious competition. However, Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) felt like the only female character who had her own motivations and needs. M'Baku (Winston Duke) was great and provided some great comedic moments as well as great action.

The villains – oh boy, this is the third Marvel movie in which the hero fights a version of himself. I mean fighting someone with the same skills and technology. In the first Iron Man movie we have Iron Man vs. Iron Monger and then we have Ant Man vs. Yellowjacket in the Ant-Man movie. This is a third. It’s not that interesting. Michael B. Jordan’s performance just didn’t feel compelling and it felt like he was created to be a typical one-dimensional bad guy, who may have a point, but not good enough (Sterling K. Brown’s N'Jobu did a much better job of at least looking conflicted, he should have had more screen time). Along with the not enough action, I think this is why the movie isn’t doing so great outside of the U.S. (speaking as someone from outside of the U.S.) Andy Serkis’ Ulysses Klaue is by far the better villain. I guess that Serkis was happy to finally show his face, because his performance is just so high on energy and so much fun that it was a real joy to see him on screen. It looked like he had a blast and I had a blast watching him.

The humor – sometimes this movie is funny, sometimes the humor in it’s Marvel tradition destroys emotional scenes and at some moments it was cringe worthy. The movie had less humor than an average Marvel movie, but it needed even less.

Standalone – even though it’s a standalone movie that is relatively isolated from other Marvel movies, if this is your first Marvel movie, you will need someone to help you fill in the gaps, even though there are not a lot of them. If you’re an avid Marvel fan, you will be disappointed by the lack of connection to the rest of the Marvel universe. Even the post credit scenes aren’t very compelling and don’t give you anything new to talk about.

Still it was a really good movie. Entertaining, original at times with mostly great characters and great character relationships and interactions. I am so going to see it again in theaters.

P.S. I really would like to hear Ulysses Klaue's mix tape. Marvel should release that.

    I give it 8/10

image_123923953.JPG Ive also made a DIY teleprompter and using an app to just deliver the content in a more fluid fashion and less 'err' and 'uhmm' because as a broadcaster and vlogger I wouldnt have wanted my viewers to wait for me to figure out what to say. Plus it is not a live video and theres no reason why a movie review should be live.

    Script Writing

3140869485_7102b2e1f5.jpg Photo credit: dotdotdot_ on Visual hunt / CC BY-NC-ND This is the most important thing that I had to learn and improve. This is the main core of the video. You got to have a content and a reason to do a video. A subject to talk abt and how it should be done. Where to sigh, how to speak and the facial and speech intonation. So much to learn!

    Proper Intro Video and Thumbnail

Its should be something that attract viewers in the first place together with the video thumbnail. Ive gotten mine free from Youtube and After Effects and done the thumbnail in Photoshop.

    Camera

Currently im using a HD Logitech Webcam c920. The focus need to be much better coz my face is abit blur. And also I would like to try recording from my iPhone but I need that for my teleprompter. So I have to settle with that for now. Also I had to enlarge the video to create a nice framing for the final edit so it has added to the blurriness.

    Microphone

image_123923953(1).JPG Im using a Blue Yeti USB Microphone with a pop-filter. The setup of it can be just plug and play but Ive learned something to make it sound better by using Voicemeter. And of course I need to learn how to improve my voice tone and pronounciation. Expensive mic dont make you a good singer (duh)

    Location

Just need a better background, instead of my messy working desk lol. And also the timing of the shooting needs to be when im a little bit fresher and not after working hour and a long day at work lol.

Basically I should be able to do one video per week spending one day on each aspect of work. Writing, Shooting, Editing and Reviewing (in order)

Thanks for dropping by guys. Let me know what you guys think. See you in the next video.

  19. Black Panther-Movie Review-A Solid Entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe@mctiller3047d

Black Panther has an energy to it that is missing from other Marvel movies.

This is the eighteenth movie in the Marvel Comics Universe, and it is one of the better ones.  And that is saying something.

Black Panther is actually a spirit, that is passed from one King of Wakanda to the next King.  Chadwick Boseman plays Black Panther, and he fully envelops this role.  When he plays King T’Challa he carries the role with skill.

The land of Wakanda is not just a setting, but a prominent character as well.  As New York is the setting for other Marvel movies, it’s just window dressing.  Wakanda is place you want to visit and learn more about.

The movie wastes no time in introducing Wakonda and Vibranium.  Vibranium is the world’s strongest material, of course it is this is a comic book movie, and it first traveled to the earth thousands of years ago, when it was first discovered five tribes formed around it for its protection.  Using the resulting technology from Vibrainium, they hid their technologically advanced kingdom from the world.  To the rest of the world Wakonda is a destitute third-world country, with nothing to offer and not accepting help from the rest of the world.  They were a backwards county to the rest of the world.

This is the country of Black Panther.

Royal linage still reigns in Wakanda.  We are introduced to Prince T’Challa as he is being prepared for the ceremony that will make him as king.  The ceremony involves ritual battle where the powers of the Black Panther are removed, showing that even in human form T’Challa should still be the rightful king.  The winner of the fight is declared after a person yields or is killed.

After some respect “We will not challenge” statements from the other tribes, we get a fight challenge from the fifth tribe that has hidden in the mountain.  T’Challa is required to take the challenge since that tribe has been in the mountains for all these generations, but T’Challa takes the challenge.  He of course wins the fight when the challenger taps out of the fight.  T’Challa is crowned King.

    Bondian Elements

There are elements that are taken straight from the Bond films.  T’Challa’s little sister Shuri leads the Q Branch for Wakonda, she runs the technology department for the country.  There is a silly scene where T’Challa is shown the new Black Panther outfit, she shares the upgraded outfit, and instructs T’Challa to kick the outfit.  He kicks it so hard the mannequin flies across the office.  They argue as brother and sister should.

Later, when T’Challa, Nakia, and Okoye travel to South Korea to extract the villian Klaue, the setting seemed taken straight out of Skyfall scene where Bond enters the bar and finds the femme fatale.

    The Villains

There are two villains, Andy Serkis for once is not motioned captured and does a wonderful job as South African arms dealer Klaue.  Klaue knows a lot about Wonkanda and its technology, he has an arm canon from Wakanda technology.  Klaue is connected with Erik Stevens, they steal a Wakanda artifact from a English museum.  Erik ends of being N’Jakada the long lost son of N’Jobu, the brother of the late King T’Chaka.  N’Jakada believes that Wakanda should be led differently.  Wakanda should be helping those that are oppressed in the world, as opposed to hiding.  N’Jakada challenges T’Challa to throne and wins in a ritual fight.

Michael B. Jordan, who did great in Creed, does not reach the emotional depths needed for being a villain.  N’Jakada is angry that African-Americans have been treated so poorly by the Colonizers that he wants to turn the tables on them.  Which is a good reason to be angry, and a reason to seek revenge.  But I never really felt the anger, Jordan just seemed to repeat the words, but it never fully felt the N’Jakada really believed the words he was speaking.  Whenever Jordan and Boseman are on the screen together Boseman is infinitely more compelling than Jordan ever is.  And that’s a shame.

In spite of a less than top notch villain the movie is full of energy.  It is a beautiful film to look at.  There are details to drink in.  The costumes are detailed and dazzling.

    Final Thoughts

Black Panther is a strong entry in the MCU series.  It is beautiful to look at, Chadwisk Boseman is excellent as Black Panther, the costumes are amazing.  If you enjoy superhero movies see this in the theater on the big screen.

    **Black Panther Review**

Yesterday I went on to go and watch the highly acclaimed Black Panther. It has already been out for almost one and a half week and I've been hearing good reviews abt it. But to my disappointment, it was...disappointing.

It was a generic superhero origin movie that has all the seen-before stuff you've seen on the other superhero origin movies. whats more disappointing for me is that it could've been better portrayed but each was just generic 'African' with very little effort to make it as genuine or unique.

It brought me to the 1980s Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan movies which have the soundtrack made by the one and only Basil Poledouris. It takes you to a totally different universe altogether and doesn't sound like anything you have heard before. While the soundtrack for Black Panther was 'generic African'.

  21. A Geeky Dad's Movie Guide to Black Panther (2018)@hanshotfirst3049d

My family and I saw Black Panther in 2D IMAX (real) on Saturday. I think I waited so long to write the review in hopes of convincing myself that I liked the movie more than I did.

*Although I love 2D IMAX, this movie did not take full advantage of the medium.*

    It has not worked.

This month, I have already become an outlier by being the only person on Earth who enjoyed The Cloverfield Paradox. Now I have become the incredibly rare double-outlier as I think I'm the only one who didn't love Black Panther.

I liked Black Panther. I'm glad I saw it. However, I don't think I ever need to see it again. The number of times I will re-watch a movie has become my measuring stick for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At this point, I am going to see every Marvel movie. I am also confident I will enjoy every one. But there are now two distinct categories, films I will buy the day they become available on Blu-ray... and all the rest.

Black Panther falls into that second category.

    The Good

The casting is perfect. Not only is Chadwick Boseman athletic enough to be believable as the incredibly nimble Black Panther, he can actually act. This role relies more on acting than your typical super hero movie. His choice to use a very believable African accent was on the money. I think the movie would have seemed "hokey" without that layer of authenticity from all of the characters. Forest Whittaker is incredible (as always). Michael B. Jordan did a fantastic job as the "villain" (perhaps too good... more on that later). Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong'o are very similar to Boseman. They can both fight and act. It was actually quite impressive. It was a real treat to see Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis reunited on screen. I do wish at some point Freeman's character would have asked Serkis' "What have I got in my pocket?"

*Letitia Wright steals every scene she is in.*

Letitia Wright as Princess Shuri deserves her own paragraph. She absolutely stole the show. Not only can she fight, she is almost the only comic relief in the otherwise super-serious movie. I read today that she has shot up to number one on the list of Disney Princesses... I can't argue.

The effects were like every other Disney produced Marvel movie: stunning. I think I have used that word in every review I have written about the Marvel movies. As soon as it stops being true, I will stop writing it. Both Black Panther suits were incredible. The way they showed the suits absorbing energy was a very cool added bonus. At one point my son and I were so impressed by an effect that we simultaneously turned to each other and said, "Whoa that's cool... jinx." I am always on the lookout for new effects. Black Panther had one. My son and I were both struck by how amazing an effect involving what appeared to be sand transforming into a series of three dimensional objects was awesome.

The action sequences and chase scenes were spectacular. (More on this later)

Although the story was a little complicated, everyone above the age of 10 should be able to follow it. It was interesting enough and fairly plausible (for a super hero movie). Unfortunately there was a huge flaw in it. I refuse to include spoilers in these posts so I will sum it up by saying that I could not get over the fact that a tribe who respected tradition so much would fail to adhere to their ancient tradition for no apparent reason.

Although the music was good, I was hoping for GREAT. I was anticipating a few more heavy hip-hop beats throughout the film. There were some... but I wanted more.

    My complaints

I loved Kilmonger. The character is very interesting and portrayed perfectly by Jordan. But here is my biggest complaint: he was kind of right. I could understand his point of view. Although I do enjoy complicated movies that make you think and question yourself and the world, I don't really want that in my comic book movie (unless it's *The Dark Knight*, but that is a *very* unique case). I want to sit back and despise the villain and wait for his inevitable and spectacular demise. Unfortunately, during *Black Panther* I found myself thinking, "He's going about it the wrong way... but he has a point." I don't want a super hero movie to illicit that type of internal conflict in me. I don't want to have to explain to my twelve year old that from the British point of view, George Washington was a terrorist. There are plenty of other movies to spark that conversation. Although I'm actually looking forward to that discussion, I just want my comic book movies to be filled with fun.

https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/marvelcinematicuniverse/images/9/9d/Black_Panther_Textless_Character_Poster_03.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/350?cb=20171201051947 Even with a name like "Killmonger", I couldn't totally hate him.

Although not a spoiler, here is something that will only make sense after you have seen the movie. I think Black Panther's father was more of a villain than Killmonger.

Another problem with the characters is the fact that Black Panther wasn't my favorite one in the movie. I liked all three female leads and the villain more than T'Challa. I think the main reason for that is that Black Panther is so serious all the time. Anyone wearing a skintight Lycra cat suit should be able to crack a smile every once in a while.

The movie is also incredibly serious. I don't mind some dark and heavy back story, but in the end, I watch these movies in order to have fun. Instead of running out of the theater energized to play fight with my son, I found myself more in a mood to debate politics. Although the story was good, it wasn't much fun.

    *Yes please.*

There is not enough action. Even with a running time of 2 hours and 14 minutes, there are too few action sequences. Although the ones that did occur were fabulous, I wanted more.

In fact, I think that sums up the entire movie.

    I wanted more:

    • Action
    • Humor
    • Fun
    • Evil from the villain
    • Joy from the hero
    • Hip-Hop
    • Princess Shuri

    Should you see it?

    Of course!

It's a Marvel movie with a good story. However, I will be telling my friends to lower their expectations a bit and "Don't believe the hype". It is not the best Marvel movie. For me, it doesn't even crack the top 5.

    Geeky Guy's Movie Guide

Number of times I fell asleep: 0 Number of eye rolls: 0 (I knew going in two dudes were going to run around dressed like cats) Number of face palms: 1 (Huge problem with a tribe dedicated to tradition suddenly ignoring it.) Number of times I checked steemit: 0 Number of times I said "That's ridiculous": 0 Full price/Matinee/Rental/Free/Not worth the time: Matinee

There are TWO scenes after the credits. Make sure to watch both of them.

  23. Black Panther - Movie Review@coldsteem3051d

    image.png

I have been anticipating the release of Black Panther for months now. The trailers have been heavily hyped at my local theaters, promising an action-packed adventure into the realm of technology and the supernatural. This film is smashing records at the box office. We chose to see it at the theater closest to our house, which isn't in the best of neighborhoods, but generally has low attendance. We have seen many films at this theater as private screenings. Not intentionally, but because we were the only customers in the theater. Black Panther was nearly sold out at the matinee yesterday. That seemed a good omen.

    image.png

Black Panther is more than a superhero. He is a king. It is a dual role for the king of Wakanda. When King T'Chaka (John Kani) is killed during a speech at the United Nations, he son T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) is the natural heir to the Wakandan throne. The king of Wakanda serves as king to all five tribes. The panthers, white gorillas, hyenas, crocodile and lions (although it appears the original tribes have been modified, replacing one with the rhino). At T'Challa's coronation, the other tribal leaders are permitted to challenge for the crown. In a break from tradition, the king of the white gorillas, M'Baku (Winston Duke) challenges for the throne, being forced to yield to T'Challa.

T'Challa's kingdom is challenged by an outside threat almost immediately after his ascension. Vibranium, a precious natural resource that forms the core of advanced Wakandan technology has been stolen and is due to be sold in South Korea. The mercenary known as Klaue (Andy Serkis) is aided in his theft of Wakandan technology by Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) whose mysterious past is about to disrupt the balance of power in Wakanda. As the tribes are divided in their loyalties, a massive conflict threatens to destabilize world peace.

    image.png

Origin stories often lag as they build the foundation for the story. Exceptional origin stories are able to pick up the backstory on the fly, keeping viewers engaged with action and story lines while filling in the blanks. Black Panther does this a little bit, but the pacing is still sluggish at times in the first half of the film. When the action starts, it is climactic and visually appealing, but the story did bog down a few times, which managed to lose my interest. The overall concept of the characters and backstory is excellent, but the delivery lacked at times.

    image.png

The characters in Black Panther are intriguing. They chose to go with a much younger sister (Letitia Wright) as their chief technologists. The film also has a special forces cadre of female warriors. They are led by General Okoye (Danai Gurira, who you may recognize as Michonne from The Walking Dead). I suspect we will see more of her alongside T'Challa in the upcoming Infinity War, which promises to be epic. The film has plenty of female stars as a counterpoint to the primarily dark-skinned cast. The two primary white actors are Klaue and CIA Agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman). I liked the casting in this film, particularly Gurira, who I have long been a fan of since first seeing her in The Walking Dead. I wasn't really buying Wright as Wakanda's chief technologist, but the rest of the primary cast was excellent. I haven't mentioned one of the other tribal chiefs, W'Kabi (Daniel Kaluuya), but there is a reason Kaluuya is stacking up awards. He has a decent chance to win an Oscar for Get Out. He was solid in a supporting role in this film.

    image.png

Black Panther is a two hour, fourteen minute film rated PG-13 by the MPAA. The film did an exceptional job avoiding gratuitous violence or other thematic material in favor of big action sequences with a low gore factor. There are some killings depicted in this film, and plenty of violence, but nothing to the extreme. This film is pretty tame by today's standard. I didn't see anything I thought would induce nightmares in young children. The special effects were among the highlights of this film, with some technological treats for viewers.

    image.png

Black Panther meandered for a while. The first half of the film was very different from the second half, once we established where the film intended to go. The narrative arc was strong once we trudged through the foundational material. The dialogue was sharp, although slightly racist at times. I think it was intended to be edgy, but came across as cheap dialogue. The story was original, although predictable. The characters were unique and engaging. Some characters were more engaging and credible than others. Overall, a solid film worth seeing at the theater. This film will likely come close to setting a new four-day release record. As a "first" in many respects, that makes sense. This film is likely to mobilize audiences. Objectively, it was good enough to see in the theater, but not quite as good as IMDb currently suggests (7.9). I think the rating may drop over the coming weeks. I am close, but not quite there. 7.5/10.

  24. Black Panther@beejayjung3053d

Black Panther is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Ryan Coogler from a screenplay by him and Joe Robert Cole, and stars Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa / Black Panther, alongside Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. In Black Panther, T'Challa returns home as king of Wakanda but finds his sovereignty challenged by a long-time adversary, in a conflict that has global consequences.

Wesley Snipes first mentioned his intention to work on a Black Panther film in 1992, with that project going through multiple iterations over the next decade, but never coming to fruition. A Black Panther film was announced as one of ten based on Marvel characters to be developed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures in September 2005, with Mark Bailey hired to write a script in January 2011. Black Panther was officially announced in October 2014, with Boseman first appearing in the role in Captain America: Civil War. By the end of 2015, Cole and Coogler had both joined, and additional cast members came on board beginning in May 2016, making the film Marvel's first with a predominantly black cast. Principal photography for the film took place from January to April 2017, at EUE/Screen Gems Studios in the Atlanta metropolitan area, and Busan, South Korea.

Definitely looking forward to Marvel's Black Panther as a show stopper in 2018. Marvel just keeps dishing out the hits and I'll be damned if i'm going to let one go out of theaters without catching it. My favorite place to see movies now is the Dolby Cinema. If you're lucky enough to have one of these AMC Dolby Theaters in your area, I suggest you ditch all other theaters and only attend these. The Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos surround sound makes the ticket price finally worth paying.

    Who else is pumped?
