Muchos lo sabrán, pero soy fanática de los clásicos y del cine retro. No sé, es como que hay algo mágico y nostálgico en ver producciones de décadas pasadas, y al verlas te das cuenta de que simplemente no pasan de moda. Hoy quiero hablarles de una película que es de mis favoritas de todos los tiempos, la cual tiene por nombre Volver al Futuro. De verdad estoy súper feliz de haberla visto otra vez el día de hoy, porque me sacó más de una sonrisa.

As many of you probably know, I’m a huge fan of classics and retro cinema. I don’t know, there’s just something magical and nostalgic about watching films from decades past, and when you watch them, you realize they simply never go out of style. Today I want to talk to you about one of my all-time favorite movies, "Back to the Future". I’m really, really happy to have watched it again today it brought a smile to my face more than once.

Esta historia nos presenta a nuestro protagonista, Marty McFly, un chico de 17 años que vive en el año 1985 y tiene como amigo al Dr. Brown, un científico loco de la época. Un día, Marty decide acompañar al doctor a realizar un experimento de viajes en el tiempo, pero por un percance imprevisto termina en una situación bastante comprometedora y viaja al pasado a bordo de la máquina del tiempo creada en un automóvil DeLorean. A partir de allí comienza una gran travesía, pues viajar al pasado no es gratis y desata una serie de situaciones que nunca debieron pasar. Entre ellas, Marty se ve obligado a corregir graves errores y lograr que sus padres se conozcan y se enamoren, ya que de eso depende asegurar su propia existencia y poder regresar al futuro.
This story introduces us to our protagonist, Marty McFly, a 17 year-old boy living in 1985 who is friends with Dr. Brown, a mad scientist of that era. One day, Marty decides to accompany the doctor on a time travel experiment, but due to an unforeseen mishap, he ends up in a rather compromising situation and travels back in time aboard the time machine built into a DeLorean. From there, a great adventure begins, because traveling to the past comes at a price and sets off a series of events that should never have happened. Among other things, Marty is forced to correct serious mistakes and ensure that his parents meet and fall in love, since his very existence and his ability to return to the future depends on it.
Esta película tiene un toque muy nostálgico, divertido, emotivo y súper bonito de ver. Hablando del mundo retro, es una época que yo no viví porque no había nacido, pero cuando escucho a mi mamá o a mis tíos hablar de ella, me comentaban muchas cosas que sonaban muy divertidas; me hablaban de películas y series que me llamaban muchísimo la atención, y creo que de ahí nace mi gusto por esa era. Una de las razones por las que me fascinó la película es cómo refleja esa época: la vestimenta, los peinados, la actitud... me encantó demasiado ver todo eso en pantalla.
La química entre los personajes es algo que admiro profundamente, ya que en ningún momento sentí tensión con ninguno de ellos. Se nota que los actores se llevaban súper bien y se desenvolvían genial interpretando a sus personajes, dándole a cada uno un toque muy especial. El Dr. Brown es de mis personajes favoritos porque tiene una forma de ser graciosísima: es raro y extraño, pero tiene algo tan cómico que te atrapa. Lo convirtieron en el típico científico loco, pero con una personalidad tan divertida y especial que es imposible odiarlo. Marty también es un personaje hermoso al que le tengo muchísimo cariño; ver su actuación y la linda amistad que tiene con el doctor es algo muy bonito de presenciar. De verdad, las actuaciones me parecieron impecables, divertidísimas y llenas de muchísimo dinamismo y energía.
Por último, el ritmo y la música de la película son un 10 de 10, ¡espectacular! Me encantaba cómo avanzaba la historia y la elección de las canciones. La música en los momentos adecuados te transmite muchísimos sentimientos y se unifica de manera perfecta con la producción cinematográfica. Supieron elegir muy bien la banda sonora, y eso es algo que le da ese toque divertidísimo y emotivo que esta película representa para mí.
This movie has a very nostalgic, fun, emotional, and incredibly beautiful vibe. Speaking of the retro world, it’s a time I didn’t experience because I wasn’t born yet, but when I hear my mom or my uncles and aunts talk about it, they’d tell me lots of things that sounded really fun; they’d tell me about movies and TV shows that really caught my attention, and I think that’s where my love for that era comes from. One of the reasons I was so fascinated by the movie is how it captures that era: the clothes, the hairstyles, the attitude… I absolutely loved seeing all of that on screen.
The chemistry between the characters is something I deeply admire, since at no point did I feel any tension among them. You can tell the actors got along really well and did a great job bringing their characters to life, giving each one a very special touch. Dr. Brown is one of my favorite characters because he has such a hilarious personality: he’s weird and odd, but there’s something so funny about him that draws you in. They turned him into the typical mad scientist, but with such a fun and unique personality that it’s impossible to hate him. Marty is also a wonderful character whom I’m very fond of; watching his performance and the lovely friendship he shares with the doctor is a beautiful thing to witness. Honestly, I thought the performances were flawless, hilarious, and full of so much dynamism and energy.
Finally, the film’s pacing and music are a 10 out of 10 spectacular! I loved how the story unfolded and the choice of songs. The music, played at just the right moments, evokes so many emotions and blends perfectly with the film’s production. They did a great job choosing the soundtrack, and that’s what gives this movie the incredibly fun and emotional feel that it has for me.
Si les soy sincera, no tengo nada negativo que decir sobre esta película. No hay algo que odie o que no me haya gustado, porque fue todo lo contrario más bien la adoré. Pero si tuviera que señalar algo, diría que serían los efectos especiales. Obviamente se notan antiguos según los estándares actuales, donde hoy en día estamos acostumbrados a efectos ultra espectaculares, mientras que para la época en la que se hizo no lo eran tanto como las chispas, los viajes en el tiempo o cómo se veía la proyección del fondo.
Sin embargo, para mí esto no es algo negativo en absoluto. Al contrario, me causa muchísima nostalgia al ver cómo ha evolucionado el cine, algo que realmente da gusto admirar. Quizás en ese tiempo no se esperaba llegar a lo que tenemos hoy en día, así que más que un punto en contra, creo que los efectos le dan ese toque distintivo de humor, nostalgia e identidad a la película. No lo señalaría como un fallo, sino como una linda muestra de la diferencia entre el mundo del pasado y el del presente. En realidad no tiene nada de malo
To be honest, I don't have anything negative to say about this movie. There isn't anything I hate or didn't like quite the opposite, actually; I loved it. But if I had to point out one thing, I'd say it would be the special effects. Obviously, they look dated by today’s standards we’re used to ultra-spectacular effects now whereas back when it was made, they weren’t as impressive as the sparks, the time travel, or the way the background projection looked.
However, for me, this isn’t a negative thing at all. On the contrary, it makes me feel incredibly nostalgic to see how cinema has evolved something that’s truly a joy to admire. Perhaps back then, no one expected to reach the level we have today, so rather than a drawback, I think the effects give the film that distinctive touch of humor, nostalgia, and identity. I wouldn’t point to it as a flaw, but rather as a lovely illustration of the difference between the world of the past and that of the present. There’s really nothing wrong with it at all.
Mi veredicto final es que Volver al Futuro es, sinceramente, una obra maestra de la comedia, la aventura y la ciencia ficción. Estoy súper feliz de que exista una producción así, porque es un clásico retro que ha envejecido increíblemente bien y que absolutamente todo el mundo recuerda. Si le preguntas a cualquiera si la vio, te dirá sonriendo: "¡Sí, la vi en la televisión!". Es muy hermoso ver cómo la gente aún recuerda esos tiempos.
Para mí, siendo una persona muy joven, verla el día de hoy y sentir que me encanta es espectacular. Demuestra que cumple perfectamente con lo que quiere transmitir: seguir proporcionándonos cultura retro y haciéndonos sentir especiales sin importar cuántos años pasen.
Se la recomiendo con los ojos cerrados a cualquier persona, tanto a quienes conozco como a los que no. Si son amantes de la música, del arte o del cine retro, les va a fascinar; e incluso a quienes normalmente no consumen cosas vintage les va a gustar, porque se nota a leguas que está hecha con todo el amor y el corazón del mundo. Para mí es un rotundo 10 de 10 en todos los sentidos, una película sumamente especial.
My final verdict is that Back to the Future is, quite honestly, a masterpiece of comedy, adventure, and science fiction. I’m so happy that a film like this exists, because it’s a retro classic that has aged incredibly well and that absolutely everyone remembers. If you ask anyone if they’ve seen it, they’ll tell you with a smile, “Yes, I saw it on TV” It’s really wonderful to see how people still remember those days.
For me, as a very young person, watching it today and realizing how much I love it is amazing. It proves that it perfectly achieves what it sets out to do: to keep providing us with retro culture and making us feel special no matter how many years go by.
I recommend it without hesitation to anyone, whether I know them or not. If you love music, art, or retro cinema, you’ll be fascinated by it; and even those who don’t usually enjoy vintage things will like it, because you can tell a mile away that it was made with all the love and heart in the world. For me, it’s a resounding 10 out of 10 in every way an extremely special movie.
