Esta fue una era dorada para el terror, vampiros, hombres lobos, y fantasmas eran los protagonistas de esta era, pero luego encontramos películas como el hombre de mimbre, una historia inquietante de principio a fin, en el que el paganismo y repudio religioso salen a relucir, personalmente me gusta mirar este tipo de películas clásicas, debido a que puedo notar cuanto ha cambiado este genero, la película de la cual hablé en el pasado concurso dedicado a la década de los 80's, the changeling o al final de la escalera, un film que asusta sin mostrar, el hombre de mimbre mantiene esta esencia de terror psicológico.

Narra la historia de un policía (Neil Howie), el cual va a una isla apartada que al parecer suceden cosas extrañas, debe visitar ese bizarro lugar para investigar la desaparición de una niña, desde su llegada puede notar que todos los pobladores se comportan de forma extraña como si ocultaran algo, comienza a investigar que sucede en ese lugar el quiere sacar a la luz todo lo que esconden, lleva la ley y a Dios como mandato pero en esa isla el paganismo reina como concepto religioso.

Mi opinión. || My opinion.
No cabe duda que este es un film diferente, que aun en nuestra actualidad puede perturbar, es tan bizarro e inquietante rinde honor a la temática que representa, me sentí conectada con el personaje principal, me refiero a que desde que inició la película todo me parecía tan poco común, el comportamiento de los habitantes de la isla era de felicidad pero retorcida, y el sargento expresaba la misma incomodidad, algo que debo resaltar es que no me suelen gustar los film que incluyen musicales, aunque este sería la excepción, las melodías son relajantes y a sus vez hipnotizantes, creo que eso se quería lograr, realmente me agradó y si la recomendaría.
