The old mouse may have disappointed many Star Wars fans with their handling of the latest films, but the first live action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, has been their exoneration. Even if you've never seen or cared for Star Wars, I'm confident you'll enjoy this fantastic story. It is the best series today in my opinion. I feel it is up there with Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.

Don't let all the Star Wars geeks' love of The Mandalorian scare you away. Sure, there are hidden Easter eggs and great characters from the past that give us die hard fans goosebumps, but it doesn't matter if you don't already know or notice them due to the overall strength of the story.

Great Characters

I can't think of a friend or enemy of our hero, who never removes his helmet, that wasn't totally likable and badass.

I'll admit that Star Wars has come up with some annoying characters over the years, but this show has yet to do that. Everyone who shares the screen with our hero bounty hunter has made great impressions making us have an emotional investment in them. If this weren't a Star Wars show, I'm sure its actors would win many acting awards, but they never appreciate anything Sci-Fi.

Directors

Some of the best Hollywood directors are getting in on the action. Do you remember the director of El Mariachi, Sin City, and Machete? Well, he directs one of hell of a chapter for The Mandalorian. Even Apollo Creed himself directs a bit.

Disney+

I feel sad every time a chapter ends, but love to see who the director was in the end credits along with the phenomenal conceptual artwork.

Conclusion

Just watch it! There honestly isn't another show this full of action with great acting and visual effects that even comes close to The Mandalorian right now. I'm confident it will be remembered as a gateway and welcoming back to many fans in the future.
