On this occasion, I would like to share with you all... my opinions on an anime that I have been wanting to talk about for a long time, today I will talk to you about: Horimiya, and it was one of those beautiful surprises that life gives you, you know? One of those that you don't expect at all, this anime, which came out in 2021 and was loved by many, the truth is that it came like a breath of fresh air to the genre, I arrived with sky-high expectations, because it was an expected adaptation of a manga that was famous, and I swear I was between excited and nervous... but, yes, I liked it.

The series manages to capture that beautiful and honest magic of the manga, but adds its own little flavor, that makes it a gem for those who are just joining. From the first chapter, this series catches you by showing you how opposite Hori and Miyamura are, the main characters. On one hand, we have Hori, who is the typical popular, intelligent, responsible girl, everything that is good at school! But, be careful, when she gets home she turns into a homebody... on the other hand, there is Miyamura, who at first seems to be the quiet, somewhat antisocial boy of the class, but boom!, outside of school, he becomes a rockstar with piercings... that huge contrast between how they are at school and in their private life is what makes them so interesting.

I was captivated from the beginning trying to understand who these two really were and how it was possible that such different personalities complemented each other so well, one of the points that I liked the most was seeing how the series shows, little by little, how Hori and Miyamura get to know each other. The chemistry between them is undeniable, one of those that really connects with you... it is impossible not to want them to end up together. They are not your typical cliché couple who get together just because, no, here we see how their secrets and insecurities intertwine in every interaction, in every little thing they do... their relationship is not based on exaggerated dramas or big declarations, but on real, sincere moments, that reflect how complicated and beautiful love and friendship can be on a day-to-day basis. I remember that I spent my time laughing and at the same time feeling empathy for them, while they went through uncomfortable situations, but that felt super real... it is that authenticity, which makes this series different from many other romantic comedies.

Hola a todos, fanáticos del anime! Espero que estén súper bien hoy, en esta ocasión les quiero compartir a todos ustedes.. mis opiniones sobre un anime del cual tenía ganas de hablar desde hace tiempo, hoy les hablaré de: Horimiya, y es que fue de esas sorpresas hermosas que te da la vida, ¿saben? De esas que no te esperas para nada, este anime, que salió en el 2021 y que fue amado por muchos, la verdad es que vino como una ventisca de aire fresco al género, yo llegué con las expectativas por el cielo, porque era una adaptación esperada de un manga que tenía fama, y les juro que estaba entre emocionado y nervioso.. pero, si me gustó.
La serie logra capturar esa magia tan linda y honesta del manga, pero le pone su propio saborcito, eso la hace una joyita tanto para los que recién se suman. Desde el primer capítulo, esta serie te atrapa mostrándote lo opuestos que son Hori y Miyamura, los protas, por un lado, tenemos a Hori, que es la típica chica popular, inteligente, responsable, ¡todo lo que está bien en la escuela! Pero, ojo, cuando llega a casa se transforma en una chica casera.. por otro lado, está Miyamura, que al principio parece ser el chico callado, medio antisocial del salón, pero ¡pum!, fuera de la escuela, se convierte en un rockstar con piercings.. ese contraste tan grande entre cómo son en la escuela y en su vida privada es lo que los hace tan interesantes.
A mí me atrapó desde el inicio tratar de entender quiénes eran realmente estos dos y cómo era posible que esas personalidades tan distintas se complementaran tan bien, uno de los puntos que más me gustó fue ver cómo la serie muestra, poquito a poco, cómo Hori y Miyamura se van conociendo. La química entre ellos es innegable, de esas que realmente conectan contigo.. es inevitable no querer que terminen juntos. No son la típica parejita cliché que juntan solo porque sí, no, aquí vemos cómo sus secretos e inseguridades se entrelazan en cada interacción, en cada cosita que hacen.. su relación no se basa en dramas exagerados ni en declaraciones grandes, sino en momentos reales, sinceros, que reflejan lo complicado y hermoso que puede ser el amor y la amistad en el día a día. Me acuerdo de que me la pasaba riendo y a la vez sintiendo empatía por ellos, mientras pasaban por situaciones incómodas, pero que se sentían súper reales.. es esa autenticidad, la que hace que esta serie sea diferente a muchas otras comedias románticas.

Let's talk about the animation CloverWorks did a great job, they brought Horimiya to life in an incredible way, each scene is made with a care that I thought was great... from the backgrounds, which are super detailed, the settings that make you believe you are there, to the expressions of the characters, those little gestures that tell you everything without them having to speak, I liked how the animation makes the story even better... There were moments, I swear, where a simple glance between Hori and Miyamura told you more than a thousand words, the animation is super fluid, and they paid attention to the details that, watch out!, even the author of the manga said was key for the work to work, and look, even if you've read the manga and have your doubts about whether it's going too fast or not, the anime manages to maintain a plot that hooks you, but without making you feel like they're rushing you.

And speaking of going fast, it's true that some who read the manga may feel like they skipped some things, but I personally liked how the anime made the story simpler.. by removing some secondary stories of characters that weren't that important, they focused more on the main thing: the relationship between Hori and Miyamura, and believe me, that vibe worked wonders for them.. and watch out, the secondary characters aren't just there as filler, ok? Each one, even if they appear very little, has their role so that we better understand the world of the school where they all are, it reminded me of when you're with your group of friends, you know? That not everyone is the center of attention all the time, but each one adds their special touch to the vibe.

Hablemos de la animación CloverWorks se lució, le dieron vida a Horimiya de una manera increíble, cada escena está hecha con un cuidado que me pareció genial.. desde los fondos, que están súper detallados, los escenarios que te crees que estás ahí, hasta las expresiones de los personajes, esos gestos chiquitos que te dicen todo sin que tengan que hablar, me gustó cómo la animación hace que la historia sea aún mejor.. Hubo momentos, te juro, donde una simple miradita entre Hori y Miyamura te decía más que mil palabras, la animación es súper fluida, y le pusieron una atención a los detalles que, ¡ojo!, hasta la autora del manga dijo que era clave para que la obra funcionara, y mira, aunque hayas leído el manga y tengas tus dudas sobre si va muy rápido o no, el anime logra mantener una trama que te engancha, pero sin que sientas que te están apurando.
Y hablando de eso de ir rápido, es verdad que algunos que leyeron el manga quizás sientan que se saltaron cositas, pero a mí, personalmente, me gustó cómo el anime hizo la historia más simple.. al quitar algunas historias secundarias de personajes que no eran tan importantes, se enfocaron más en lo principal: la relación entre Hori y Miyamura, y créanme, esa onda les funcionó de maravilla.. y ojo que los personajes secundarios no están ahí de relleno, ¿eh? Cada uno, aunque salga poquito, tiene su papel para que entendamos mejor el mundo del colegio donde están todos, me hizo acordar a cuando estás con tu grupo de amigos, ¿saben? Que no todos son el centro de atención todo el tiempo, pero cada uno le pone su toque especial a la onda.

It's interesting to see how the series plays with the simple and the profound at the same time. It's not like it's going to blow your mind with unexpected twists or anything like that, but it has such a warm, cozy vibe that it catches you right away... it's like when you put on your favorite sweater on a cold day, you know? You don't expect fireworks, but that feeling of comfort makes you feel at home, relaxed... it happened to me that I connected with the characters in a very personal way, maybe it's because their problems, their insecurities and how they show affection feel very real, very close... I connected with that, and it's really appreciated to see a story where love is not pure drama or a fairy tale, but something more real, with its little things, its disorders, but beautiful and human at the end of the day...

And not to mention the laughs, it has moments of humor that catch you off guard and bring a smile from ear to ear, seeing how the characters interact on a daily basis is so funny and, at the same time, so real! Has it ever happened to you that with a gesture, a look between two people, they say everything? That's what happens here! The relaxed tone, almost as if they were telling you gossip, draws you fully into the story, as if you were there living the ups and downs of this romance as if it were yours, as if you were transported back to high school... Obviously, no anime is perfect, and Horimiya, although it is a gem, has its little things... some may say that it goes too fast and yes, there are moments where the background feels a bit simple for the anime format... but, honestly, it feels natural, because in the end, the important thing is that they focused on building a relationship that touches your heart and feels real, and that has quite a bit of value, not any ordinary anime does that.

Es interesante ver cómo la serie juega con lo simple y lo profundo al mismo tiempo, no es que te va a explotar la cabeza con giros inesperados ni nada de eso, pero tiene una onda tan cálida, tan acogedora, que te atrapa al toque.. es como cuando te pones tu suéter favorito en un día frío, ¿viste? No esperas fuegos artificiales, pero esa sensación de confort te hace sentir como en casa, relajado.. me pasó que conecté con los personajes de una manera muy personal, capaz que es porque sus problemas, sus inseguridades y cómo se demuestran cariño se sienten muy reales, muy cercanos.. conecte con eso, y es que se agradece un montón ver una historia donde el amor no es puro drama ni cuento de hadas, sino algo más real, con sus cositas, sus desórdenes, pero hermoso y humano al final del día..
Y ni hablar de las risas, tiene unos momentos de humor que te pillan desprevenido y te sacan una sonrisa de oreja a oreja, ver cómo interactúan los personajes en el día a día es tan divertido y, a la vez, ¡tan real! ¿Alguna vez les ha pasado que con un gesto, una mirada entre dos personas, se dicen todo? ¡Así mismo pasa aquí! El tono relajado, casi como si te estuvieran contando un chisme, te mete de lleno en la historia, como si estuvieras ahí viviendo los altos y bajos de este romance como si fuera tuyo, como si te transportaras a la secundaria...Obvio, ningún anime es perfecto, y Horimiya, aunque es una joyita, tiene sus cositas.. algunos pueden decir que va muy rápido y sí, hay momentos donde el fondo se siente un poco simple para el formato anime.. pero, honestamente, se siente natural, porque al final, lo importante es que se enfocaron en construir una relación que te llega al corazón y se siente real, y eso tiene bastante valor, no cualquier anime del montón hace eso.

Watching this series I couldn't help but smile, it changed my vibe of what I thought was a "romantic" anime, at first, I confess, I was kind of skeptical, because one has seen so many anime that promise you gold and in the end leave you like "meh".. but Horimiya broke the mold, at least in my opinion, with that honest way of showing love, just like life itself, unpredictable and at the same time real... that vibe of how Hori and Miyamura handle what they show in public and what they are in private, feels genuine, so real, that it's like you're gossiping about the life of someone you know... it's not the giant declarations of love, but those little moments that, without you realizing it, build trust and understanding.

Now, if you ask me if it's worth giving this anime a chance, well yes, you can have a good time, it's just that it's rare to find a series that makes you laugh, touches your heart and makes you think, all in one episode. That mix of humor, romance and how the characters truly grow in Horimiya is like a recipe that always works, no matter how many times you watch it... each scene is designed to make you feel something, and as the story progresses, you realize that the magic is in how simple everything is...

At the end of the day, I give it a 8.5/10, not only because of the animation that is brutal or because of the story that is well put together, but because of how it makes you feel, do you understand? There is such a refreshing authenticity in how they depict daily life and relationships, something that many animes these days kind of forget about... so, if you are looking for an anime that gives you a genuine experience, that moves you, with characters that feel real and with their little things, give it a chance, its characters will surely captivate you as they did me... and well, that's all for today, see you in the next reviews, take care of yourselves! Viendo está serie no pude evitar sonreír, me cambió la onda de lo que pensaba que era un anime "romántico", al principio, lo confieso, estaba medio escéptico, porque uno ya ha visto tantos animes que te prometen el oro y al final te dejan así como "meh".. pero Horimiya rompió el molde, al menos en mi opinión, con esa forma tan honesta de mostrar el amor, así como es la vida misma, impredecible y a la vez real.. esa onda de cómo Hori y Miyamura manejan lo que muestran en público y lo que son en privado, se siente genuino, tan de verdad, que es como si estuvieras chismoseando la vida de alguien que conoces.. no son las declaraciones así gigantes de amor, sino esos momentitos chiquitos que, sin darte cuenta, construyen la confianza y el entendimiento.
Ahora, si me preguntas si vale la pena darle una oportunidad a este anime, pues si, puedes pasar un buen rato, es que es raro encontrar una serie que te haga reír, que te toque el corazón y que te ponga a pensar, todo en un solo capítulo. Esa mezcla de humor, romance y cómo los personajes crecen de verdad en Horimiya es como una receta que siempre funciona, no importa cuántas veces la veas.. cada escena está pensada para que sientas algo, y mientras avanza la historia, te das cuenta de que la magia está en lo simple que es todo..
Al final del día, yo le doy un 8.5/10, no solo por la animación que está brutal o por la historia que está bien armada, sino por cómo te hace sentir, ¿me entiendes? Hay una autenticidad tan refrescante en cómo muestran la vida diaria y las relaciones, algo que muchos animes de ahora como que se olvidan.. así que, si andas buscando un anime que te dé una experiencia genuina, que te conmueva, con personajes que se sienten reales y con sus cositas, dale una oportunidad, sus personajes seguro te cautivaran como lo hicieron conmigo.. y bueno, eso es todo por hoy, nos veremos en las próximas reseñas, cuidense mucho!
