Hello everyone, lovers of anime and good stories. I hope you are having a great day today. I want to talk to you this time about a romance anime with some drama, which was released a few years ago, but you probably recognize it, or have heard of it. It is Orange. This story is one of those that stand for a somewhat unique premise, what if you could change the past to save someone important? In this story we will see how a girl named Naho, receives mysterious letters from her future self, warning her about some events that are about to happen... and asking her to please make different decisions to avoid any regrets.
One of the things I liked the most about this series, is how it handles some issues like depression, suicide and wanting to change past mistakes. I felt it approached in a sensitive way, if I felt somewhat emotional about how things end up happening. As for the co-protagonist, Kakeru, the new guy, he is very well developed... his internal struggle is presented to us in the series, and how he sometimes ends up rejecting the help of others, something very characteristic in someone with mental health problems. The dynamic between the characters is interesting as well, the group of friends feels very authentic, each one has their own unique personalities, which bring their own thing to the plot.. I liked Suwa's character, he's interesting, and you can tell he has a very good heart, to the point of going so far as to put his friends' happiness before his own. He is very noble and surely many people would like to have a friend like him.

Hola a todos, amantes del anime y de las buenas historias. Espero estén teniendo un día muy bueno hoy. Quiero hablarles en esta ocasión de un anime de romance con algo de drama, que se estrenó hace algunos años, pero que seguramente reconozcan, o hayan oído hablar de el. Se trata de Orange. Está historia es de aquellas que se levantan por una premisa algo única, ¿Que pasaría si pudieras cambiar el pasado para salvar a alguien importante? En esta historia veremos como una chica llamada Naho, recibe misteriosas cartas de su yo del futuro, advirtiéndole sobre algunos eventos que están por ocurrir.. y pidiéndole que por favor tomen decisiones diferentes para evitar cualquier arrepentimiento.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó de esta serie, es como maneja algunos temas como la depresión, el suicidio y el querer cambiar errores del pasado. Lo sentí abordado de una manera sensible, si me sentí algo emotivo por como terminan pasando las cosas. En cuanto al coprotagonista, Kakeru, el chico nuevo, el está muy bien desarrollado.. su lucha interna se nos presenta en la serie, y como a veces termina rechazando la ayuda de los demás, algo muy característico en alguien con problemas de salud mental. La dinámica entre los personajes es interesante también, el grupo de amigos se siente muy auténtico, cada uno tiene sus propias personalidades únicas, que aportan lo suyo a la trama.. El personaje de Suwa me gustó, es interesante, y se ve que tiene un muy buen corazón, al punto de llegar a anteponer la felicidad de sus amigos a la suya propia. Es muy noble y seguramente muchas personas desearían tener un amigo como él.

Visually this anime has a very nice style, with warm tones and some cold ones.. that contrast the scenes in a great way. Although the animation is not the most impressive of all, it conveys the emotions of the characters very well, and captures the expressions very well.. it fulfills its role, although there are times when you notice a little carelessness, it's not exactly important. The opening and ending are very memorable, and fit incredibly with the bittersweet tone of this story... some things I didn't like a lot was that at times the plot advances too slowly, and there are situations that feel a bit repetitive.
And sometimes I felt that the main character got a bit frustrating, with her indecisiveness.. Although I understand that it's part of her character development. I also felt that some secondary characters weren't exploited quite well, I would have liked to get to know them more. One of the things that stuck in my mind the most, was the ethical dilemma behind changing the past. Would it be okay to alter events pays to save a life? Is it worth it? What about the consequences that serve to grow? What about the sacrifices that were made? Orange doesn't give you easy answers... it makes you think about your own decisions and how this can affect everyone around you.

Visualmente este anime tiene un estilo muy lindo, con tonos cálidos y algunos fríos.. que contrastan las escenas de manera genial. Aunque la animación no es la más impresionante de todas, transmite muy bien las emociones de los personajes, y capta muy bien las expresiones.. cumple con su papel, aunque hay veces que se nota un poco de descuido, no es exactamente importante. El opening y ending son muy memorables, y encajan increíble con el tono agridulce de esta historia.. algunas cosas que no me gustó mucho fue que por momentos la trama avanza demasiado lento, y hay situaciones que se sienten un tanto repetitivas. Y algunas veces sentí que la protagonista se puso un poco frustrante, con su indecisión.. Aunque entiendo que es parte del desarrollo de su personaje.
También sentí que algunos personajes secundarios no fueron explotados del todo bien, me hubiera gustado conocerlos más. Una de las cosas que más se quedó en mi mente, fue el dilema ético detrás de cambiar el pasado. ¿Estaría bien alterar eventos paga salvar una vida? ¿Vale la pena? ¿Qué pasa con las consecuencias que sirven para crecer? ¿Qué pasa con los sacrificios que se hicieron? Orange no te da respuestas fáciles.. te hace pensar en tus propias decisiones y como esto puedo afectar a todas las personas que nos rodean.

The series also poignantly portrays how small actions can have a big impact, and this is very, very true.. A simple good morning, or asking someone out for a date, a bite to eat... can make a huge difference to someone who is going through difficult times. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of being very attentive to our loved ones, I had to admit that I expected this series to be more heartbreaking, or more tragic.. because of its premise and how it was sold to me by others before I watched it. While there are some very emotional moments, it didn't bring tears to my eyes.... Perhaps because the series balances the dramatic elements very well with the lighter, everyday elements of a school life...
One aspect that I found somewhat interesting, was how the series incorporated the science fiction elements with time travel, but this quickly passes to the background, the focus is not on the trip or the ways to make these, but in personal relationships and internal struggles of the protagonists. That gives it an interesting touch, since it is relatively strange that in a series there is a variant of time travel and that it is not given the main focus, or explain much, it seems that it is something that doesn't matter much.

La serie también retrata de manera conmovedora como las pequeñas acciones pueden tener un gran impacto, y esto es muy, pero muy cierto.. Un simple buenos días, o invitar a alguien a salir, a comer algo.. puede hacer una gran diferencia para alguien que está pasando por momentos difíciles. Es un recordatorio poderoso de la importancia de estar muy atentos a nuestros seres queridos, debí admitir que esperaba que está serie fuera más desgarradora, o más trágica.. debido a su premisa y a como me la vendían las demas personas antes de verla. Si bien hay unos momentos muy emotivos, no llegó a sacarme alguna lágrima.. Tal vez porque la serie equilibra muy bien los elementos dramáticos, con otros más ligeros y cotidianos de una vida escolar..
Un aspecto que me pareció algo interesante, fue como la serie incorporó los elementos de ciencia ficción con los viajes en el tiempo, pero esto pasa rápidamente a segundo plano, el foco no está en el viaje o en las maneras de hacer estos, sino en las relaciones personales y las luchas internas de los protagonistas. Eso le da un toque interesante, ya que es relativamente extraño que en una serie exista una variante de viaje en el tiempo y que no se le de el foco principal, ni expliquen mucho, en sí parece que es algo equis que no importa mucho.

As for the ending, without giving too many details... I would say that it left me with some mixed feelings. On the one hand, I appreciated that it was not predictable and that it left room for each person's interpretation. On the other hand, I felt that some plots were left without a clear resolution... even so I think they managed to close some main arcs in a coherent way, and attached to the tone of the series. It's not perfect, but it's a series that I'm sure can appeal to more than one person, and I'm sure it might make some people cry, or they might identify with what happens. It makes you think about your own relationships, and all the missed opportunities that I'm sure many of us can have, and how our actions can have a positive or negative impact on other people's lives.
It's a series that I would recommend for fans of the school general with romance and drama. While for me it wasn't the heart breaking series I thought it would be, it sure is emotional enough to touch the hearts of many. Its pacing may not be for everyone, but if you take the time to connect with the characters, you're sure to have a good time. I give it a rating of 8/10. I liked the way it tackled these rarely mentioned issues these days, it's sure to make you think a lot. I hope you liked this little review, see you in the next ones. En cuanto al final, sin dar muchos detalles.. diría que me dejó con algunos sentimientos encontrados. Por un lado, aprecie que no fuera predecible y que dejara espacio para la interpretación de cada persona. Por otro, sentí que algunas tramas quedaron sin una clara resolución.. aún así creo que logran cerrar algunos arcos principales de forma coherente, y apegado al tono de la serie. No es perfecta, pero es una serie que seguro puede atraer a más de alguno, y seguro puede ser que haga llorar a algunas personas, o puede ser que se identifiquen con lo que pasa. Te hace pensar en tus propias relaciones, y en todas las oportunidades perdidas que seguro muchos podemos tener, y en cómo nuestras acciones pueden dar un impacto positivo o negativo en la vida de las demás personas.
Es una serie que recomendaría pata los fanáticos del general escolar con romance y drama. Aunque para mí no fue la serie rompe corazones que pensé que sería, seguro si es lo suficiente emotiva para llegar al corazón de muchos. Puede que su ritmo no sea para todo el mundo, pero si te das el tiempo para conectar con los personajes, seguro la pasas bien. Le doy una calificación de 8/10. Me gustó la forma de abordar estos temas poco mencionados actualmente, seguro te hará pensar mucho. Espero le haya gustado está pequeña reseña, nos vemos en las próximas.
