With this post, I end my delivery of reviews on the magnificent Hawkeye series, first season. Today I highlight the aspects that I consider most important of his last episode, which Marvel Studios made to coincide with the Christmas holidays according to the context that from the beginning surrounded the series, in fact, this last chapter was released on December 22, literally two days before Christmas.
The title I have given to my analysis is based on the fact that we can divide this whole scene in what transmits us both the protagonist of this series: Hawkeye and his antagonist, kingpin, that although he was hidden in the previous episodes there were already several clues that pointed towards him, that made us intuit in some way his presence.
Before pointing out the characteristics of this character, let's look at the protagonist Clint Barton, who in this series makes Hawkeye evolve in such a way that makes us understand the position he has among the first avengers, despite being simply an agent of Shield has qualities, skills, and virtues of heroic level.

En el día de hoy resalto los aspectos que considero más importantes de su último episodio, que Marvel Studios hizo coincidir con las fiestas navideñas acorde con el contexto que desde el principio rodeó la serie, de hecho este último capítulo se estrenó el 22 de diciembre, literalmente dos días antes de Navidad.
El título que le he dado a mi análisis se basa en que podemos dividir toda esta escena en lo que nos transmite tanto el protagonista de esta serie: Hawkeye como su antagonista, kingpin, que aunque estuvo oculto en los episodios anteriores ya había varias pistas que señalaban hacia él, que nos hacían intuir de alguna manera su presencia.
Antes de señalar las características de este personaje, fijémonos en el protagonista Clint Barton, que en esta serie hace evolucionar a Hawkeye de tal manera que nos hace entender el puesto que tiene entre los primeros avengers, a pesar de ser simplemente un agente de Shield cuenta con cualidades, habilidades y virtudes de nivel heroico.
Hawkeye demonstrates here his heroism clearly since he had already completed his mission to mediate with Maya and take away her idea of continuing pursuing Ronin, this he achieves in the previous episode. Well, although he had already finished and could go home, he decides to stay to help Kate Bishop who had discovered that her mother was working for Kingpin and now her life was in danger, so together with her he prepares to save her.
I find this very interesting as he was initially reluctant to work with the young woman, however, this is also part of the evolution of his role. In the end, he finally ends up considering her his partner, tells her that he is proud of her and even invites her to spend Christmas with his family.
So, from this series, we can learn how the hero is not born but is also made along the way. In fact, along with Hawkeye we can make reference to others that already the UCM is starting to introduce: Kate Bishop, who was his co-star and who at the end understands how the hero is not made by his powers but by his attitude; Yelena, who realizes her sister's sacrifice and forgives Clint; Laura Barton, an important shield agent who comes out of her shadow (at least for the viewers) and Maya who finally comes face to face with her father's killer, who was like her family: Kingpin.
Hawkeye demuestra aquí su heroicidad claramente ya que él ya había culminado su misión de mediar ante Maya y quitarle la idea de seguir persiguiendo a Ronin, esto lo logra en el episodio anterior. Pues bien, aunque él ya había terminado y se podía ir a casa, decide quedarse para ayudar a Kate Bishop que había descubierto que su madre estaba trabajando para Kingpin y que ahora su vida peligraba, por lo cual junto a ella se prepara para salvarla.
Esto me parece muy interesante ya que él al principio se mostraba reacio a trabajar con la joven, sin embargo esto también forma parte de la evolución de su papel. Al final, por fin termina considerándola su compañera, le manifiesta que se siente orgulloso de ella e incluso la invita a pasar la navidad con su familia.
Por eso, de esta serie podemos aprender como el héroe no nace sino que se hace también en el camino. De hecho, junto a Hawkeye podemos hacer referencia a otros que ya el UCM está empezando a presentar: Kate Bishop, que fue su co-protagonista y que al final comprende como al héroe no lo hacen sus poderes sino su actitud; Yelena, que se da cuenta del sacrificio de su hermana y perdona a Clint; Laura Barton, una importante agente de shield que sale de su sombra (al menos para los espectadores) y Maya que finalmente se enfrenta cara a cara con el asesino de su padre, quien era como su familia: Kingpin.
Let's look now at the main antagonist of the series, the mythical Kingpin, played by the acclaimed Vincent D'Onofrio who had already played this character in the Defenders series on Netflix, so some of us were already familiar with him and it gave us the joy to see him again, now after the snap of Thanos but within his same style.
Indeed, his ambition remains the same, to set himself up as the crime boss of the entire city of New York, for which he knows no limits in the actions he must take. That's why, when Kate Bishop's mother decides to stop cooperating with him, he gets angry and plans to kill her himself. It is here where the heroine comes into action, in a battle that despite being unbalanced by the incredible strength of the villain ends up overcoming in a good way.
Although the series leaves us with the unknown of the future of Kingpin, personally I have no doubt that we will continue to see him later, because, the entry on the scene of this new villain is a unique opportunity to introduce other important characters within Marvel, as it is for example Daredevil, but not only him but the same Netflix Defenders and the events surrounding their series.
But above all, Kingpin should remain in Marvel because he is one of the best achieved criminal personifications of the studio, with the bonus of the excellent performance of his actor. In him we understand what makes a villain, the evil he cultivates in his heart, his greed, avarice, and evil intentions that guide his every step.
Miremos ahora al antagonista principal de la serie, el mítico Kingpin, interpretado por el aclamado Vicent D'Onofrio que ya había interpretado este personaje en la serie de Defenders en Netflix, por lo cual ya algunos estábamos familiarizados con él y nos dio alegría volverlo a ver, ahora después del chasquido de Thanos pero dentro de su mismo estilo.
En efecto, su ambición sigue siendo la misma, erigirse en el jefe criminal de toda la ciudad de New York, para lo cual no conoce límites en las acciones que deba tomar. Por eso, ante la intención de la mamá de kate Bishop de dejar de cooperar con él se enfada y planea matarla él mismo. Es aquí donde entra en acción, la heroína en una batalla que a pesar de mostrarse desbalanceada por la increíble fuerza del villano termina superando de buena manera.
Aunque la serie nos deja con la incógnita del futuro de Kingping, personalmente no tengo ninguna duda de que lo seguiremos viendo más adelante, pues, la entrada en escena de este nuevo villano es una oportunidad única para introducir otros personajes importantes dentro de Marvel, como lo es por ejemplo Daredevil, pero no sólo él sino los mismos Defenders de Netflix y los acontecimientos que rodearon sus series.
Pero sobre todo, Kingpin debe seguir en Marvel porque es uno de las personificaciones criminales mejor logradas del estudio, con el plus de la excelente actuación de su actor. En él comprendemos lo que hace a un villano, la maldad que cultiva en su corazón, su codicia, avaricia y malas intenciones que guían cada uno de sus pasos.
