With the arrival of 2024 new movies started to appear for everyone's amusement and some were more expected than others. I always bet on Netflix, the old reliable that offers me a whole world of entertainment without leaving home, and the truth is that I have so little time to watch TV that with it I have enough and enough 😅 My girl was waiting for the premiere of this movie and I think we put it on the first days of January, but after the accident something happened at home and we had to stop it, then I saw that it lasted much more than two hours and really gave me annoyed to continue watching it, although the special effects were very amazing and I kept that idea in mind.
Con la llegada del 2024 comenzaron a aparecer nuevas películas para la diversión de todos y algunas eran más esperadas que otras. Yo siempre apuesto a Netflix, la vieja confiable que me ofrece todo un mundo de entretenimiento sin salir de casa, y la verdad es que tengo tan poco tiempo para ver televisión que con ella me basta y me sobra 😅 Mi chica estuvo esperando el estreno de esta película y creo que la pusimos los primeros días de Enero, pero luego del accidente algo pasó en casa y tuvimos que pararla, luego vi que duraba mucho más de dos horas y realmente me dio fastidio seguirla viendo, aunque los efectos especiales fueron muy sorprendentes y me quedé con esa idea en mente.
It turns out that with the passing of the days this movie has been gaining a lot of popularity, to the point of getting to see many memes in the beginning of my social networks. Other friends made reference to it when we got together, so Jhoxiris and I decided to give it another try, in fact she always wanted to finish watching it, she was just missing a partner. I learned that its premiere was actually in December, since January 4 on Netflix it became an international hit. In my second attempt I also failed, in my opinion the movie is very good, but for people like me who are easily distracted it is very boring, definitely not my style of movies. That day I saw a little more, we put it on from the beginning and I took it off when they were already considering eating their dead friends, the reason for the memes that are rolling around.
Resulta que con el paso de los días esta película ha ido ganando mucha popularidad, hasta el punto de llegar a ver muchos memes en el inicio de mis redes sociales. Otros amigos hacían referencia cuando nos reuníamos, así que Jhoxiris y yo decidimos volver a intentarlo, de hecho ella siempre quiso terminarla de ver, solo le faltaba un compañero. Supe que su estreno fue realmente en Diciembre, desde el 4 de Enero en Netflix se hizo un suceso internacional. En mi segundo intento también fracasé, en mi opinión la película es muy buena, pero para personas como yo que se distraen fácil es muy aburrida, definitivamente no es mi estilo de movies. Ese día vi un poco más, la pusimos desde el comienzo y la quité cuando ya estaban considerando comerse a sus amistades muertas, el motivo de los memes que están rodando por ahí.
A couple of days later I put the movie on again, but I didn't have much faith in it anymore and I only put it on while I was doing some household errands, I felt that the only way to watch it until the end was to turn around when I felt that there was some emotion, and finally it was a big mistake. I really enjoyed the avalanche scenes that third time around, but my girl even though she also saw the movie in several parts was always fascinated with all the drama, plus she already knew this story from real life, even I think from another movie in the past. I finally took it off again when I was already sleepy, and although Jhoxiris also liked it, she can't deny me that in the quiet scenes it also made her sleepy 😅
Un par de día después volví a poner la película, pero ya no le tenía mucha fe y solo la puse mientras yo hacía algunas diligencias del hogar, sentí que la única manera de verla hasta el final era voltear al sentir que había algo de emoción, y finalmente fue un grave error. Disfruté mucho las escenas de la avalancha en esa tercera ocasión, pero mi chica aunque también vio la película en varias partes siempre estuvo fascinada con todo el drama, además de que ya ella conocía esta historia de la vida real, incluso creo que por otra película del pasado. Finalmente volví a quitarla cuando ya tenía sueño, y aunque a Jhoxiris también le gustaba, no me puede negar que en las escenas tranquilas también le daba sueño 😅
To my surprise, on Friday I was ready to finish watching it, I only had more than 40 minutes to go, but it turns out that even though there were no hard hitting scenes it became my favorite part and I connected with everything that was going on. These people in the movie were already very, very bad after so long stranded in the Andes, I felt a lot of emotion when they contacted other people and when they made the rescue. I didn't know the story, I thought it would be a grim movie where people were eating and killing each other out of desperation, but no, they literally formed a Snow Society... I can only tell you that the movie is good, and I know I've said a lot of spoilers here, but spoilers are everywhere because it's something that happened and there's a lot of history, plus, the news and memes don't help to keep the drama hidden. So you know, the movie is good, I'm not going to recommend it because it would be very false on my part, I watched it in four parts because it really bored me a lot, but don't mind me if you are movie lovers, the one who is bad is me 😬
Para mi sorpresa, el viernes estuve dispuesto a terminar de verla, solo me faltaba más de 40 minutos, pero resulta que aunque no hubo escenas de fuerte impacto se convirtió en mi parte favorita y conecté con todo lo que sucedía. Estas personas de la película ya estaban muy, muy mal después de tanto tiempo varados en Los Andes, sentí mucha emoción cuando contactaron con otras personas y cuando hicieron el rescate. Yo no conocía la historia, yo pensé que sería una película sombría donde las personas se comían y se mataban entre sí por la desesperación, pero no, literalmente ellos formaron una Sociedad de la Nieve... Solo les puedo decir que la película es buena, y sé que he dicho muchos spoilers acá, pero es que los spoilers están en todas partes porque es algo que pasó y hay mucha historia, además, las noticias y los memes no ayudan a mantener el drama oculto. Así que ya saben, la película es buena, no la voy a recomendar porque sería muy falso de mi parte, la vi en cuatro partes porque realmente me aburría mucho, pero no me hagan caso si son amantes del cine, el que está mal soy yo 😬
