Una secuela de una franquicia inolvidable para cualquier persona que le guste el cine y las películas, sea por ver absolutamente todos los filmes o por el gran número de parodias y chistes relacionados con esta película, seguramente muchos reconocerán este asesino enmascarado que cuya arma preferida es un cuchillo de cocina, es un personaje o conjunto de personajes que comparten esa escancia terrorífica de asesinato. Hace muy poco tuve la oportunidad de ver este filme en el cine y ahora deseo compartir mi opinión con ustedes.
El género Slasher tiende a captar bastante la atención, sin embargo, constantemente es un género invadido por los clichés y encaminado por los típicos guiones de las películas exitosas como lo ha sido la misma Scream, en ese sentido, tiendo a ser algo exigente sobre la narrativa de este tipo de películas, a pesar de que me gusta el género de terror siento que en los últimos años nos ha dejado la sensación de que los filmes de la década de los 90 son mejores por gran diferencia, veamos como le va a Scream VI ante el público.
Sinopsis:
Los sobrevivientes de las situaciones pasadas con Ghostface se encuentran tratando de normalizar sus vidas en la ciudad de Nueva York, sin embargo, y en plena festividad de Halloween, el traje de Ghostface se hace muy popular, algo muy conveniente para que un nuevo asesino emerja entre las sombras para saciar su sed de sangre.
Análisis del Filme
Así como lo mencioné anteriormente me gusta este tipo de argumentos, pero no todo debe ser puñaladas y sangre (aunque esto ayuda), la historia debe ser entretenida y darnos sorpresas y tensión a lo largo del metraje. A decir verdad la narrativa de esta historia se encamina hacia otros caminos al que al menos yo pensaba, hay comedia y un guion que se vuelve satírico en secciones, es lo que más sobresale del filme, esa mezcla de géneros en donde tiene espacio hasta la comedia negra para que la película se ría de sí misma.
Scream VI se basa en un argumento desgastado en decanas, los guionistas sabían eso y desearon incorporar una narrativa diferente, hablando de las películas de este asesino Ghostface e incluso haciendo alusión de distintos clichés que terminan siendo incorporados en la secuencia, pienso que es un movimiento inteligente debido a que otorga cierto humor (negro o satírico) que le gusta al público, dando una especie de refrescamiento al ya desgastado Ghostface.
Debo decir que no vi Scream V, es decir, en mi caso no había una conexión establecida con los personajes, por lo que tuve que hacer un esfuerzo para sentir algo de empatía al principio, además, al no haberme enterado de las situaciones pasadas, quedaron muchas lagunas en mi cabeza sobre el argumento que contempla el filme, así que recomendaría ver las anteriores, ya que van de la mano con esta producción, a pesar de todo esto termina siendo entretenida.
Tensión e Intriga
La verdad es que no hay mucha tensión en el metraje, la transición de la absoluta calma a la acción con armas blancas es bastante rápida, no hay lugar para colocar en al espectador en un momento de tensión significativo, de hecho, en los momentos en donde se intenta introducir esa tensión característica de las películas de terror, se sienten largas y como perdidas de minutos en la narrativa, al menos en mi caso no causaron mucho efecto.
Otro de esos aspectos de bebe hacerse un lugar importante es la intriga, es lo que realmente otorga el miedo en este tipo de filmes, no saber lo que sucede o quien podría estar detrás de la máscara es una característica primordial para los cimientos del argumento. El filme juega con la importancia de esta característica, casi como una parodia de sí misma, eso le otorga un enfoque diferente, pero sin salirse de la línea argumental, en ese sentido, hay algo de intriga, quizás sea por no haber visto la película anterior, pero por momentos quedé sin muchas respuestas.
Los giros son necesarios, aunque posiblemente no son 100% predecibles, sabemos desde el principio que estarán allí lo que disminuye la sorpresa, sin embargo, siento que terminan funcionando porque son totalmente necesarios para mantener en la esencia del género como de la franquicia.
Muertes y Sangre
No es un filme que introduce un gore excesivo, hay escenas sangrientas, pero el filme son soportables, pienso que en algunos casos la lógica falla en uno que otro ataque de Ghostface otorgándonos algunas dudas sobre el final, sin embargo, en cuanto a estas características el filme logra mantenernos bien atentos al afilado cuchillo de Ghostface.

He visto muy buenos comentarios sobre este filme, sin embargo, en mi caso particular la veo como una película decente, entretenida y que si bien vale la pena verla tampoco es la gran maravilla, pude verla en el cine dando oportunidad a los efectos visuales y de sonido jugar con mis sentidos y percepción del filme, sin embargo, no fue tan efectiva (al menos en mi caso).
En cuanto a este tipo de filmes, me gusta cuando hay un poco más de tensión y hechos inesperados. A pesar de todo esto, es una película entretenida que al menos se siente de que no se ha perdido el dinero en el cine, de hecho, mantiene la atención en todo momento. Aunque a decir verdad, la introducción me pareció que pudo ser mejor a este filme.

Film Analysis
As I mentioned before, I like this kind of storyline, but it shouldn't all be stabbings and blood (although that helps), the story should be entertaining and give us surprises and tension throughout the film. To tell the truth, the narrative of this story is heading in a different direction to what I thought it would, there is comedy and a script that becomes satirical in sections, this is what stands out the most in the film, this mix of genres where there is room even for black comedy so that the film can laugh at itself.
Scream VI is based on a worn out plot in deans, the screenwriters knew that and wanted to incorporate a different narrative, talking about the films of this Ghostface killer and even alluding to different clichés that end up being incorporated in the sequence, I think it's a smart move because it gives a certain humour (black or satirical) that the audience likes, giving a kind of refreshing to the already worn out Ghostface.
I must say that I didn't see Scream V, that is to say, in my case there was no established connection with the characters, so I had to make an effort to feel some empathy at the beginning, also, not having learned about the past situations, there were many gaps in my head about the plot that the film contemplates, so I would recommend watching the previous ones, as they go hand in hand with this production, despite all this it ends up being entertaining.

The truth is that there is not much tension in the footage, the transition from absolute calm to action with bladed weapons is quite fast, there is no place to place in the viewer in a significant moment of tension, in fact, in the moments where it tries to introduce that tension characteristic of horror films, they feel long and as lost minutes in the narrative, at least in my case did not cause much effect.
Another one of those aspects of the film that is important is the intrigue, it is what really gives the fear in this type of film, not knowing what is going on or who could be behind the mask is a fundamental characteristic for the foundations of the plot. The film plays with the importance of this feature, almost as a parody of itself, that gives it a different approach, but without leaving the plot line, in that sense, there is some intrigue, maybe it's because I haven't seen the previous film, but at times I was left without many answers.
The twists are necessary, although possibly not 100% predictable, we know from the beginning that they will be there which diminishes the surprise, however, I feel that they end up working because they are totally necessary to keep in the essence of the genre as well as the franchise.
Death and Blood
It is not a film that introduces excessive gore, there are bloody scenes, but the film is bearable, I think that in some cases the logic fails in one or another attack of Ghostface giving us some doubts about the end, however, in terms of these characteristics the film manages to keep us well attentive to the sharp knife of Ghostface.

I have seen very good comments about this film, however, in my particular case I see it as a decent film, entertaining and although it is worth seeing it is not the great wonder, I could see it in the cinema giving opportunity to the visual and sound effects to play with my senses and perception of the film, however, it was not so effective (at least in my case).
As for this kind of film, I like it when there is a bit more tension and unexpected events. Despite all this, it's an entertaining film that at least feels like you haven't wasted your money at the cinema, in fact, it keeps your attention throughout. Although to tell the truth, I felt the introduction to this film could have been better.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, it's an entertaining film and in fact you could say it's a must-see for fans of the Slasher genre, it's worth seeing not only because of what this franchise represents for the horror genre in general, but also because it has its share of entertainment despite some flaws. I recommend it.
