Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una película que me gusta mucho y que no me aburro de ver, una producción estadounidense del año 2005 con varias características que le hacen una estupenda película desde mi punto de vista, algunos seguramente la recuerdan o al menos se les hace familiar debido a la célebre mascara del protagonista. Hoy quiero comentar sobre V de Vendetta.
Debo decir que me agradan las películas sobre criticas sociales y políticas, incluso con un entorno conspirativo que envuelva la trama, son películas que quizás pueden escandalizar a algunos sectores fanáticos de la política, sin embargo, pienso que es de esas producciones que quedan grabadas en la retina del espectador por muchos años. Para mí, es una película que cuya mezcla de géneros le hace atractiva teniendo en cuenta que es una adaptación de un comic (una de las mejores adaptaciones según los críticos).
Sinopsis:
Gran Bretaña se ha convertido en un país con cortas libertades, un totalitarismo en un futuro distópico en el cual un hombre enmascarado tratará de cambiar el panorama político metódicamente y fuera de la ley, todo con el objetivo de llevar a una revolución al pueblo británico y así recuperar la verdadera libertad.
Análisis de la Película
Creo que esta es de esas producciones obligatorias para los espectadores que les gusta introducirse en temas políticos, es que esta producción cuenta una historia fenomenal y muy bien ejecutada sobre lo oscuro y siniestro que puede ser el camino de la política, a pesar de introducirse evidentemente en un futuro distópico y en la ciencia ficción nos muestra actos que pueden ser bastante reales en nuestro presente.
Necesidad de Poder
La película nos muestra a lideres políticos que desean el poder a toda costa, no importando lo que suceda en esa escalada hasta la cima, con la bandera del totalitarismo tener el control absoluto sobre el pueblo otorgándose altos beneficios económicos a lo largo del camino (cualquier parecido a la realidad política es mera coincidencia… O tal vez no).
La película nos muestra ese camino tan nefasto que el líder de esta Gran Bretaña futurista recorrió hasta sentarse en la silla del poder, evidentemente evitando toda clase de manifestaciones políticas en su contra, utilizando la fuerza desmedida contra aquellos activistas políticos y eliminando a las personas con la información sobre esos misteriosos y oscuros sucesos que esconde el gobierno.
El Héroe
La película nos muestra a V, el protagonista es un héroe o antihéroe, dependiendo de la perspectiva del espectador, un hombre que ha sobrevivido las atrocidades ocultas del gobierno y que ahora desea enfrentarlo para lograr liberar a los británicos de un sistema corrupto, aunque deba ocultarse en las sombras y realizar actos fuera de la ley que se pueden catalogar incluso como terrorismo.
Observamos características muy marcadas de este protagonista, una de ellas es un manejo estupendo de armas de corte como espadas y cuchillos, además, cuenta con una resistencia sobrehumana que le permite en una escena recibir numerosos impactos de bala y seguir luchando a pesar de las heridas, sin embargo, estas no son las características que más llaman la atención de este estupendo personaje.
Poder de la Palabra
Lo que realmente hace sobresalir este personaje es su elocuencia y el manejo de las palabras para expresar y al mismo tiempo convencer a los demás, cada vez que la película nos introduce en conversaciones de V podemos quedar tanto maravillados como desconcertados por su manera de comunicarse, quizás debamos repetir varias veces las escenas para lograr comprender todo lo que se está hablando. Fuera de ser un guion completamente ininteligible la manera en que se desarrolla y se van descubriendo los misterios a través de imágenes y sobre todo discursos hace que sea una película que sobresale del resto.
Para mí, es uno de esos personajes inolvidables, cualidades de batalla formidables como la de un superhéroe, sin embargo, no era su verdadero superpoder, la inteligencia y el poder de la palabra son sus verdaderas fortalezas. Un héroe misterioso que lucha por lo que piensa es lo correcto a pesar de que lo puedan tildar de terrorista o delincuente, la verdadera consecuencia de luchar contra un sistema corrupto.
Natalie Portman
Me encanta el personaje de Evey interpretada por Natalie Portman, un personaje con una evolución magnifica y que verdaderamente complementa la película a la perfección, mostrando la transición entre el miedo y la verdadera lucha por sus ideales. Este personaje es muy importante para el menaje de la producción. Observamos un antes y un después del personaje bastante diferenciado, sin embargo, lo entretenido es observar toda esa transición y lo que debe pasar esta chica para poder vencer sus demonios internos y esa inseguridad que le limitaba.
Fotografía
Desde mi perspectiva esta fotografía oscura es magnifica para presentarnos el film, el misterio es tan pesado que lo podemos sentir sobre nuestros hombros, además, amplifica la sensación de que cualquier cosa puede ocurrir desde las sombras. Una tonalidad oscura sobre la política y conspiración que envuelve visualmente al espectador, nuestros sentidos se mantienen atentos a lo que ocurre en todo el metraje del film.
Acción
A pesar de que la película no se concentra en la acción si podemos presenciar buenas escenas de lucha y disparos, sobre todo explosiones, sin embargo, debo decir que la película no es de acción, aunque esta característica no sea limitante para emocionar al espectador.
Anonymous
Muchos sabrán que esta película inspira de alguna manera la imagen de Anonymous, lo primero que se puede observar es que utilizan la misma máscara de Guy Fawkes, el mismo símbolo que utiliza V para mostrar la inconformidad sobre un sistema injusto y que en la película es aceptado y utilizado por los británicos que salen en masa a protestar con esta mascara.
Además de la comparación con la máscara también observamos dentro de la película un video donde se expresa al pueblo británico, Anonymous en sus famosos videos también trata de captar esa esencia de V en sus mensajes. Esta es una película que puede hacer levantar activistas políticos o al menos crear conciencia sobre el mover político.

Opinión Final
Esta es de las películas con la calificación más altas que he escrito aquí en Hive, es de las películas que me gusta y que siempre recuerdo, quizás una de las mejores adaptaciones en cuanto a comic, pero al mismo tiempo una de las producciones más infravaloradas de aquellos años desde mi punto de vista.
Esta es de esas películas en que se necesita ver más de una vez para comprenderla, pero cada nueva vista representa un nuevo descubrimiento en su trama, por lo cual verla varias veces es muy entretenido. A muchos nos les apetece este tipo de trama con cierta complejidad, pero en lo particular me fascinan.
No quiero extenderme demasiado en esta producción, quizás alguien no la ha visto y lo menos que deseo es arruinarle la experiencia con spoilers, sin embargo, esta producción es de las que es necesario debate, explicación y teorías. Quizás más adelante pueda hacer un video explicativo con spoilers para los que ya vieron esta fabulosa película.
¿La Recomiendo?
Si, absolutamente, por supuesto, claro que sí. Es una excelente película, pero se bebe tener en cuenta la complejidad y que tal vez es necesario retroceder escenas para comprenderla, esto puede fastidiar a algunos espectadores, pero en mi caso lo disfruto. I must say that I like movies about social and political criticism, even with a conspiratorial environment that surrounds the plot, they are movies that may perhaps shock some political fanatics, however, I think it is one of those productions that remain engraved in the retina of the viewer for many years. For me, it is a film whose mix of genres makes it attractive considering that it is an adaptation of a comic book (one of the best adaptations according to critics).
Synopsis:
Britain has become a country with short freedoms, a totalitarianism in a dystopian future in which a masked man will try to change the political landscape methodically and outside the law, all with the aim of leading to a revolution to the British people and thus regain true freedom.
Film Analysis
I think this is one of those must-see productions for viewers who like to be introduced to political issues, is that this production tells a phenomenal and very well executed story about how dark and sinister the path of politics can be, despite obviously being introduced in a dystopian future and science fiction it shows us acts that can be quite real in our present.
Need for Power
The film shows us political leaders who desire power at all costs, no matter what happens in that climb to the top, with the flag of totalitarianism to have absolute control over the people granting high economic benefits along the way (any resemblance to political reality is mere coincidence ... Or maybe not).
The film shows us that nefarious path that the leader of this futuristic Britain traveled until he sat in the chair of power, evidently avoiding all kinds of political demonstrations against him, using excessive force against those political activists and eliminating the people with the information about those mysterious and dark events hidden by the government.
The Hero
The film shows us V, the protagonist is a hero or anti-hero, depending on the viewer's perspective, a man who has survived the hidden atrocities of the government and now wishes to confront it in order to free the British people from a corrupt system, even if he has to hide in the shadows and perform acts outside the law that can even be classified as terrorism.
We observe very marked characteristics of this protagonist, one of them is a great handling of cutting weapons such as swords and knives, in addition, he has a superhuman resistance that allows him in a scene to receive numerous bullet impacts and continue fighting despite the wounds, however, these are not the characteristics that most attract the attention of this great character.
Power of the Word
What really makes this character stand out is his eloquence and his use of words to express and at the same time convince others, every time the film introduces us to V's conversations we can be both amazed and bewildered by his way of communicating, perhaps we have to repeat the scenes several times to understand everything that is being said. Apart from being a completely unintelligible script, the way in which it develops and the mysteries are discovered through images and above all speeches makes it a film that stands out from the rest.
For me, he is one of those unforgettable characters, formidable battle qualities like that of a superhero, however, it was not his true superpower, intelligence and the power of the word are his true strengths. A mysterious hero who fights for what he thinks is right even though he may be labeled a terrorist or a criminal, the true consequence of fighting against a corrupt system.
Natalie Portman
I love the character of Evey played by Natalie Portman, a character with a magnificent evolution that truly complements the film perfectly, showing the transition between fear and the real fight for her ideals. This character is very important for the production. We observe a quite differentiated before and after of the character, however, what is entertaining is to observe all that transition and what this girl must go through to overcome her inner demons and insecurity that limited her.
Photography
From my perspective this dark photography is magnificent to introduce us to the film, the mystery is so heavy that we can feel it on our shoulders, in addition, it amplifies the feeling that anything can happen from the shadows. A dark tonality about politics and conspiracy that visually envelopes the viewer, our senses are kept attentive to what is happening throughout the film's footage.
Action
Although the film does not focus on action we can witness good fight scenes and shooting, especially explosions, however, I must say that the film is not action, although this feature is not limiting to excite the viewer.
Anonymous
Many will know that this film somehow inspires the image of Anonymous, the first thing that can be observed is that they use the same Guy Fawkes mask, the same symbol that V uses to show nonconformity about an unfair system and that in the film is accepted and used by the British who come out en masse to protest with this mask.
In addition to the comparison with the mask we also see in the film a video where the British people are expressed, Anonymous in their famous videos also tries to capture the essence of V in their messages. This is one of those movies that you need to see more than once to understand it, but each new viewing represents a new discovery in its plot, so watching it several times is very entertaining. Many people don't like this kind of plot with a certain complexity, but in particular I am fascinated by them.
I do not want to extend too much on this production, perhaps someone has not seen it and the least I want is to ruin the experience with spoilers, however, this production is one of those that is necessary debate, explanation and theories.
