Un tema que se ha convertido en habitual en los últimos años (en la industria del cine), es hablar del multiverso, aquella teoría en donde existen diversas versiones de todo lo que conocemos, materia, espacio y tiempo, algo que ha ganado un lugar cada vez más especial en la imaginación de los espectadores, sobre todo, de las nuevas generaciones. Si bien este tema es abarcado en diferentes producciones anteriores al filme que hoy me dedico a reseñar, creo que en everything everywhere all at once se puede percibir una manera distinta en cuanto el enfoque para mostrar nuevamente este tema dentro de una producción que termina siendo tanto entretenida como eficaz, que además se transforma en una experiencia innovadora y con un estilo fresco de llevar un mensaje lleno de amor al espectador.
Debo decir que es uno de los filmes que he tenido en mi lista desde hace meses, tenía el presentimiento de que me gustaría, sin embargo, por alguna razón dejé pasar el tiempo, hace pocos días pude disponer verla. Ya en el 2023 puedo decir que es una de las películas que más me ha sorprendido, hablando propiamente de producciones estrenadas en el 2022, quizás muchos concuerden con esa apreciación, un filme con una mezcla de géneros que en un principio podría suponer un caos, pero que finalmente funciona.
Sinopsis:
Evelyn es dueña de una lavandería con algunos problemas tributarios, viviendo una vida llena de estrés, descubre de una manera sorpresiva las diferentes e innumerables dimensiones y versiones de sí misma, cuyas habilidades le servirán para proteger a todo el multiverso de un completo desastre.
Análisis de la Película
El filme abarca una historia que parece insípida en el principio, sin embargo, es muy importante como introducción a la trama, pero que al correr de los minutos va adquiriendo un estupendo salto y manejando un ritmo interesante, la estructura del argumento se basa en el caos del multiverso, las diferentes dimensiones en las que cada decisión, pequeña o grande, abre el espacio a otra ramificación y versión del universo haciendo que las versiones de cada persona puedan ser tan infinitas como sus propias decisiones. Todas estas diferencias (grandes o pequeñas) se reúnen para crear ese caos tremendamente entretenido de este filme.
Así como lo mencioné anteriormente, el tema del multiverso ya no conocemos, sin embargo, este filme lo moldea en un enfoque distinto, en donde se realizan conexiones con las otras versiones de sí mismo mediante un artefacto y una secuencia de acciones, adquiriendo tanto sus pensamientos, conocimientos y habilidades adquiridas de esa versión, es como si el cerebro se dividiera, por lo que una fracción del ser se puede dividir en un número infinito de universos, de allí el título del filme.
Un enfoque de ciencia ficción para enlazar el multiverso, sin embargo, encontramos otros géneros con una mezcla y un equilibrio interesante e innovador.
Comedia
La comedia juega un papel importante en el filme, de hecho, hay escenas en donde pude reír a carcajadas, el filme posee un recurso literario bastante imaginativo que seguramente nos otorgarán algunas sorpresas bastante divertidas, el guion contempla algunas locuras que hacen que en la trama se sienta curiosamente cómica.
Artes Marciales
Algo que disfrutamos en muchos de los filmes de aventuras son las batallas cuerpo a cuerpo, buenas coreografías entre golpes, patadas y algo de "improvisación" son características propias arraigadas del cine oriental, todos estos aspectos que siempre hace resaltar esas escenas de artes marciales son muy bien interpretados por los actores de la producción, sobre todo, de su protagonista. Podríamos decir que esos buenos movimientos son uno de los pilares que sostiene este filme de una buena manera y hace mantener la atención en la pantalla.
Familia
Si bien toda esta mezcla alocada de géneros suponen los pilares en los que se desarrolla el argumento del filme, es el tema familiar es el que les une en una narrativa guiada por un mensaje sobre la familia. Me gusta que en las películas se abarquen temas familiares, me parece una oportunidad perfecta para hacer reflexionar a los espectadores sobre sus propias vidas mientras se entretienen, algo que queda en el pensamiento luego de ver la película, así que este mensaje me parece bastante bueno y muy bien acompañado con los diferentes aspectos del filme.
Una Familia Común en el Caos del Multiverso
Si observamos los problemas familiares en que se comienza a introducir la narrativa, nos parecerán algo bastante común, en donde podemos señalar, problemas financieros, de comunicación que desembocan en situaciones donde se siente el menosprecio y el alejamiento de los miembros del núcleo familiar. Problemas comunes llevados por una trama con situaciones para nada comunes, eso me gustó.
Quizás algo que le resta valor a los otros géneros es el propio antagonista, sin embargo, juega un papel fundamental para llevar ese mensaje familiar, por lo que el centro del filme no es el multiverso, la ciencia, acción o todo lo que sucede con la protagonista, se centra en la familia entera, esa es la razón de un antagonista que no tendría lugar en otros filmes.

Me parece una película muy entretenida, con un buen mensaje, quizás en ocasiones exagera o alarga mucho algunas escenas, sin embargo, combina muy bien los géneros, llevando la ciencia ficción a prácticamente convertirse en fantasía, así como el de comedia (absurda) que termina por dar un buen resultado. Una película muy completa que podríamos colocarla entre lo mejor del 2022.
Lo que me parece más favorable es ese recurso literario llevado con mucha imaginación, alocado pero innovador en líneas generales, este filme no es de los típicos saltos en el tiempo o en cuanto a multiverso, lo lleva más allá con una producción digna de ganar varios premios importantes.

Sí, es una película muy completa, con acción, comedia y un buen mensaje familiar, posee características que le hacen ser un filme atractivo y envolvente de principio a fin de un metraje de más de dos horas, la recomiendo abiertamente.

Although this theme is covered in different productions prior to the film that I am reviewing today, I believe that in Everything Everywhere All at Once we can perceive a different approach to show this theme again in a production that ends up being both entertaining and effective, which also becomes an innovative experience with a fresh style of bringing a message full of love to the viewer.
I must say that this is one of the films that I have had on my list for months, I had a feeling that I would like it, however, for some reason I let the time pass, a few days ago I was able to arrange to see it. Already in 2023 I can say that it is one of the films that has surprised me the most, properly speaking of productions released in 2022, perhaps many will agree with that appreciation, a film with a mixture of genres that at first could suppose a chaos, but that finally works.
Synopsis:
Evelyn is a laundromat owner with some tax problems, living a stress-filled life, she surprisingly discovers the different and innumerable dimensions and versions of herself, whose abilities will serve to protect the entire multiverse from complete disaster.
Film Analysis
The film encompasses a story that seems insipid in the beginning, however, it is very important as an introduction to the plot, but as the minutes go by it acquires a great jump and manages an interesting rhythm, the structure of the plot is based on the chaos of the multiverse, the different dimensions in which each decision, small or big, opens the space to another ramification and version of the universe making that the versions of each person can be as infinite as their own decisions. All these differences (big or small) come together to create the tremendously entertaining chaos of this film.
As I mentioned earlier, the theme of the multiverse is no longer known to us, however, this film casts it in a different light, where you make connections with the other versions of yourself through an artefact and a sequence of actions, acquiring both your thoughts, knowledge and skills acquired from that version, it is as if the brain is split, so that a fraction of the self can be divided into an infinite number of universes, hence the title of the film.
A science fiction approach to linking the multiverse, however, we find other genres with an interesting and innovative mix and balance.
Comedy
Comedy plays an important role in the film, in fact, there are scenes where I could laugh out loud, the film has a quite imaginative literary resource that will surely give us some pretty funny surprises, the script contemplates some crazy things that make the plot feel curiously comic.
Martial Arts
Something that we enjoy in many of the adventure films are the melee battles, good choreography between punches, kicks and some "improvisation" are characteristics of oriental cinema, all these aspects that always highlights these martial arts scenes are very well interpreted by the actors of the production, especially its protagonist. We could say that these good movements are one of the pillars that sustains this film in a good way and keeps the attention on the screen.
Family
While all this crazy mix of genres are the pillars on which the film's plot develops, it is the family theme that unites them in a narrative guided by a message about family. I like it when family themes are covered in films, it seems to me a perfect opportunity to make viewers reflect on their own lives while being entertained, something that remains in the mind after watching the film, so this message seems to me to be quite good and very well accompanied with the different aspects of the film.
An Ordinary Family in the Chaos of the Multiverse
If we look at the family problems in which the narrative begins to introduce, they will seem to us something quite common, where we can point out, financial problems, communication problems that lead to situations where we feel the contempt and alienation of the members of the nuclear family. Common problems carried by a plot with situations that are not at all common, I liked that.
Perhaps something that detracts from the other genres is the antagonist himself, however, plays a key role in carrying that family message, so the focus of the film is not the multiverse, science, action or everything that happens with the protagonist, it focuses on the whole family, that is the reason for an antagonist that would have no place in other films.

It seems to me a very entertaining film, with a good message, maybe sometimes it exaggerates or lengthens a lot some scenes, however, it combines very well the genres, taking the science fiction to practically become fantasy, as well as the comedy (absurd) that ends up giving a good result. A very complete film that we could place among the best of 2022.
What I find most favourable is that literary resource taken with a lot of imagination, crazy but innovative in general, this film is not of the typical jumps in time or in terms of multiverse, it takes it further with a production worthy of winning several major awards.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, it is a very complete film, with action, comedy and a good family message, it has characteristics that make it an engaging and involving film from beginning to end of a footage of more than two hours, I recommend it openly.
