Hola Hives, vuelvo a una de mis secciones favoritas que es colocar sobre la lupa aquellas nuevas películas que nos brinda uno de los más conocidos servicios de Streaming (Netflix), en este caso deseo comentarles sobre la película Hustle, una nueva producción encabezada por Adam Sandler sobre una historia contextualizada en el baloncesto profesional, específicamente en la NBA, es una producción que en lo particular esperaba con ansias y que ahora deseo compartir mi punto de vista con toda la comunidad de Movies & Tv Shows.
Esta es una película que se puede introducir en el género dramático, específicamente dentro del género de drama deportivo, cuenta con casi las dos horas de metraje y nos traslada a un trasfondo sobre el espectáculo de la NBA, con el entrenamiento y todo lo que significa llegar a la más alta competencia de este deporte, algo que sin dudas atraerá no solo a los fanáticos fieles de Sandler, sino que también los amantes del deporte estarían mirando de reojo esta historia.
Sinopsis:
Un importante cazatalentos con aspiraciones de ser entrenador, viaja por el mundo reclutando a las nuevas estrellas de la NBA, sin embargo, su búsqueda infructuosa termina cuando consigue a un joven jugador en el lugar menos pensado y con todo en su contra decide apostarlo todo a este joven jugador, aun cuando la organización no aprueba su incorporación.
Análisis de la Película
Adam Sandler
No puedo comenzar a analizar esta película sin colocar en primer punto este nombre propio que sin dudas hace que muchos volteen a mirar esta película, siempre he comentado que en mi familia son fans de Sandler y que les agrada su manera de actuar, a pesar de que ya existen gran número de interpretaciones con características similares, hay personas que no se cansan de ver sus películas, sobre todo, sus nuevos proyectos, en ese caso al menos gran parte de mi familia entre ellos mi esposa, siempre están atentos a sus producciones aun cuando el contexto no les es muy tentativo como lo es el deporte.
Tener a Sandler siempre tiene un extra, no solo en publicidad sino también en calidad. Hace ya algún tiempo este actor se ha estado adaptando a un papel fuera de su clásica comedia, adentrándose al género dramático, una de las películas que me agradó por su excelente papel fue Diamantes en Bruto, otra producción de Netflix en donde vimos otra faceta de Sandler que en lo particular pienso que hizo bastante bien y alejándose un poco de su típico papel cómico.
En Hustle, Sandler no tiene un papel tan dramático y alejado del molde de sus actuaciones como en Diamantes en Bruto, de hecho, es un papel más parecido a los que ya estamos acostumbrados, pero con un poco menos de comedia y con buenas pinceladas dramáticas. A pesar de lo que se pudiera pensar, Adam Sandler se vuelve acercar a su zona de confort en esta película, pero si posee un toque que le distingue de otras películas que enteramente se adentran en género de comedia.
Drama Deportivo
Este es un género que me agrada, soy de los que aman el deporte y las películas, así que es un género en el cual siempre estaré atento, aunque mi deporte favorito es el futbol, me agrada ver este tipo de drama, independientemente del deporte en el cual se contextualice la película, debido a que soy consciente del arduo trabajo que se les exigen a los atletas de alto rendimiento, tanto física como mentalmente.
Ver un partido de la NBA puede ser un espectáculo total, sin embargo, el trasfondo lleva trabajo, dedicación y como lo menciona el personaje de Sandler “obsesión”, en lo particular me agrada esta organización, planificación e incluso la economía que va detrás de ese espectáculo que observamos en pantalla. Todo ese esfuerzo, buenas y malas decisiones se introducen en la película Hustle sustentando de buena manera la historia y haciéndola creíble para el público.
¿Cliché?
La película abarca varios estereotipos muy conocidos en el género de drama, y drama deportivo, por lo cual para los que desean ver algo muy innovador, Hustle no es una película que se caracterice por eso, sin embargo, desde mi humilde opinión, pienso que tener cierto guion con una trama algo predecible y bastante utilizada en el mundo del cine no necesariamente la traslada directamente al basurero, para el ojo crítico puede ser agradable ver como se desenvuelve este tipo de acontecimientos y degustar una personalidad propia de la película al relatar a su propio estilo los estereotipos que tanto conocemos, eso en lo particular en uno de los puntos fuertes de esta película, al menos desde mi punto de vista.
A pesar de que de alguna manera ya sabemos lo que va a ocurrir, el argumento se va desenvolviendo muy bien en su narrativa, dándonos una historia repetida, pero al mismo tiempo interesante y aunque sepamos lo que ocurrirá, la película nos mantiene atentos en todo momento hasta el final, por supuesto, también tiene mucho que ver ese deseo de superación y euforia que siempre este tipo de producciones trasmite sobre su etapa final, este aspecto resulta ser un gancho para sus espectadores.
La película cuenta con una mezcla interesante de emociones, incluida una pincelada de drama familiar, sin embargo, se enfoca en aspectos físicos y sobre todo mentales sobre el jugador de alto rendimiento, el cual ya posee un talento natural excepcional, pero que su pasado puede ser un obstáculo en el mundo del deporte profesional.

Opinión Final
La película no posee una profundidad en su narrativa que le haga sobresalir del género de drama deportivo, de hecho, podemos predecir mucho sobre la película mientras va corriendo el reloj, sin embargo, hay un buen desenvolvimiento y posee lo más importante de todo, entretenimiento. A pesar de que en lo particular pensaba que Sandler iba a seguir sumergiéndose en papeles más dramáticos, pienso que en Hustle hace un buen trabajo, así como en todas sus películas.
Esta es una película ligera, fácil de entender y de digerir, propio de uno de los estilos no solo de Sandler sino también de Netflix, creando una historia para un gran sector del público que seguramente obtendrá buenas críticas generalizadas, al menos de los usuarios de la plataforma, ya que en lo particular, opino que cumple con la dosis de entretenimiento prometida.
¿La Recomiendo?
Sí, es una película que podemos ver en solitario o en familia, una producción que, aunque no se sea el gran fan de la NBA o del mismo Sandler puede mantener al espectador atento hasta el final, por supuesto, tiene un valor especial para los amantes del baloncesto y del deporte en general. Es una película recomendable para cualquier persona, ya que posee una trama simple, pero al mismo tiempo llamativa y aunque aborde un guion más que repetido, es una producción para tener en cuenta. La recomiendo abiertamente.

This is a movie that can be introduced in the dramatic genre, specifically within the sports drama genre, it has almost two hours of footage and takes us to a background about the NBA show, with the training and everything that means to reach the highest competition of this sport, something that will undoubtedly appeal not only to Sandler's loyal fans, but also sports lovers would be looking sideways at this story.
Synopsis:
An important scout with aspirations of becoming a coach, travels the world recruiting the NBA's new stars, however, his unsuccessful search ends when he gets a young player in the least thought place and with everything against him decides to bet everything on this young player, even when the organization does not approve his incorporation.
Movie Analysis
Adam Sandler
I can not begin to analyze this film without placing in first point this own name that undoubtedly makes many turn to look at this film, I have always commented that in my family are fans of Sandler and they like his acting, although there are already a large number of interpretations with similar characteristics, there are people who do not get tired of watching his movies, especially his new projects, in that case at least much of my family including my wife, are always attentive to their productions even when the context is not very tempting as it is the sport.
Having Sandler always has an extra, not only in publicity but also in quality. For some time now this actor has been adapting to a role outside of his classic comedy, going into the dramatic genre, one of the films that pleased me for his excellent role was Diamonds in the Rough, another Netflix production where we saw another facet of Sandler that in particular I think he did quite well and moving away a bit from his typical comic role.
In Hustle, Sandler does not have a role as dramatic and far from the mold of his performances as in Diamonds in the Rough, in fact, it is a role more similar to those we are already used to, but with a little less comedy and with good dramatic touches. Despite what you might think, Adam Sandler is back to his comfort zone in this film, but it does have a touch that distinguishes him from other films that are entirely in the comedy genre.
Sports Drama
This is a genre that I like, I am one of those who love sports and movies, so it is a genre in which I will always be attentive, although my favorite sport is soccer, I like to see this kind of drama, regardless of the sport in which the film is contextualized, because I am aware of the hard work required of high performance athletes, both physically and mentally.
Watching an NBA game can be a total spectacle, however, the background takes work, dedication and as Sandler's character mentions "obsession", in particular I like this organization, planning and even the economy that goes behind the show we see on screen. All that effort, good and bad decisions are introduced in the film Hustle sustaining in a good way the story and making it credible for the audience.
Cliche?
The film encompasses several well-known stereotypes in the drama genre, and sports drama, so for those who want to see something very innovative, Hustle is not a film that is characterized by that, however, from my humble opinion, I think that having a certain script with a somewhat predictable plot and quite used in the world of cinema does not necessarily move it directly to the dumpster, for the critical eye it can be nice to see how this kind of events unfolds and to taste the film's own personality when telling in its own style the stereotypes we know so well, that in particular is one of the strong points of this film, at least from my point of view.
Although somehow we already know what is going to happen, the plot unfolds very well in its narrative, giving us a repeated story, but at the same time interesting and although we know what will happen, the film keeps us attentive at all times until the end, of course, also has much to do that desire to overcome and euphoria that always this type of productions transmits on its final stage, this aspect is a hook for its viewers.
The film has an interesting mix of emotions, including a touch of family drama, however, focuses on physical and especially mental aspects of the high performance player, who already has an exceptional natural talent, but that his past can be an obstacle in the world of professional sports.

Final Opinion
The film does not have a depth to its narrative that makes it stand out from the sports drama genre, in fact, we can predict a lot about the film as the clock ticks down, however, there is a good flow and it has the most important thing of all, entertainment. Although I thought Sandler was going to continue to dive into more dramatic roles, I think he does a good job in Hutle, as he does in all of his films.
This is a light film, easy to understand and digest, typical of one of the styles not only of Sandler but also of Netflix, creating a story for a large sector of the public that will surely get good reviews across the board, at least from users of the platform, since in particular, I think it meets the promised dose of entertainment.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, it is a movie that we can watch alone or with the family, a production that, even if you are not a big fan of the NBA or Sandler himself can keep the viewer attentive until the end, of course, has a special value for lovers of basketball and sports in general. It is a film recommended for anyone, as it has a simple plot, but at the same time striking and although it deals with a more than repeated script, it is a production to keep in mind. I openly recommend it.
