Narrativamente es lo esperable, es una cinta que enfoca el esfuerzo y el trabajo duro que hay que hacer para lograr alguna meta, no obstante, el filme es bastante maduro al establecer que incluso con esas no hay garantía de nada, siendo que muchas veces para triunfar no solo se necesita de lo anterior mencionado sino también de algo de suerte, además, la premisa de intentar llegar a las ligas mayores no es solo el único punto de interés, existen algunos retos y problemas personales que encajan bastante bien, este cúmulo de elementos hace que la duración sea muy digerible.

Los personajes son bastante agradables, lo anterior se debe a que tienen una caracterización bastante remarcada en la que se exploran diversos problemas, preocupaciones, fallos del pasado y sueños de los personajes principales, si bien esto no les da una profundidad ni nada que se le asemeje por lo menos permite que sea posible empatizar con ellos, así como sentir sus momentos emotivos tanto positivos como negativos, todo esto hace que sean personajes no menos que agradables. Los antagonistas no son nada del otro mundo, son despreciables en el mejor de los casos, ergo, no representan ninguna clase de trabajo ni propósito más allá del hecho de fungir como obstáculos para los protagonistas.

Hustle es la típica película de deportes en la que el protagonista debe enfrentar diferentes dificultades para poder lograr su meta, no obstante, hace un énfasis interesante en no solo luchar por los sueños sino también en el hecho de no dejarse pisotear por nadie indistintamente del estatus que este tenga, a su vez, plantea un lindo mensaje sobre como existen diferentes caminos para poder llegar a una misma meta. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 4 estrellas de 7, un filme con un buen mensaje tanto de pelear por los sueños como el hecho de que nunca es tarde para perseguir una meta, siendo esta última la principal razón por la que la recomiendo tanto a jóvenes adultos como a personas mayores debido a que es importante siempre recordar que nunca es demasiado tarde para conseguir lo que anhela el alma.
