I have to admit that Wolverine is one of my favorite X-men, but even so their first two solo movies seemed terrible to me, they do not do any honor to the character and only use it to make the most of a franchise that was on the rise. However, I loved the end of the trilogy, because it gives back its essence to a damaged, intense, dramatic character and with an endless number of worries that make it different from other superheroes.
Logan is the film that magnificently culminates a trilogy not so strong and that despite having started very slowly, with plots not entertaining ends with an adult film, mature and that gives us a lot of emotion.

In this last movie of the trilogy, we place ourselves in a different world, a world where everything seems extinct and dangerous; years have passed and mutants are no longer well received, on the contrary those who stay alive remain hidden in the shadows trying to go unnoticed without raising much commotion. In this new world Logan works as a chauffeur while take care of a professor X at the end of his life, a professor X who has serious problems controlling his psychic powers, something that usually brings a lot of problems for those around him. Eventually the story reaches its climax when Logan encounters a woman who asks him for help to take care of a girl, a girl who was equipped with the same powers as Logan and who is being pursued by an organization that is dedicated to experimenting with mutants. From Logan's encounter with that girl a race will be set in motion to hide the girl and take her to a place where she is safe, something that will not be easy at all because our protagonist is no longer the same as he used to be, now he constantly suffers the onslaught of his body that is not as resistant nor recovers as quickly as before.

In this long escape journey Logan sees how his mentor and friend of so many years dies at the hands of an apparent clone of his, a clone with the same skills but much younger, stronger, and hard to kill, however helped by the death of Professor X Logan and the girl manage to escape and continue the journey that keeps them safe. That way Logan takes the girl with her friends, but just when they were safe and about to escape they are found by the organization that pursues them, thus unleashing a great battle that ends his life.
The plot of the film is really good because it gives us a more real look at a character that shows that it doesn't need an environment full of effects and CGI to stand out, a story that explores the sensitivity and development of a character like never before. Making him the one who stands out at all times. The best thing is that the film doesn't save anything, it gives us big doses of action and drama.

# An Old & Damage Logan.
#
The highest point of the film is undoubtedly Logan, because it gives us a different interpretation of a character that had not been used so directly and emotionally, a character that through many films was losing strength but that in this one manages to stand out magnificently making us see a man finished, sad and eager to die. A man who knows that he has lived too long and that he has had enough of this world, a man who only wants to rest and feel some peace. Hugh Jackman makes an interpretation worthy of being recognized for the impressive turn he gives to his character, continues to give it harshness and rudeness but also gives it sentimentality and a sadness that can be seen only with expressions and gestures.

This is undoubtedly the Logan that we had been waiting for for so long, a Logan that has already had too much and that we have to let go.
It is worth mentioning that his chemistry with the girl is extremely entertaining and emotional, at times we see how they fight to make their opinions count, but we also see how committed they are to each other, both understand each other and develop a father-daughter relationship that gives a lot of emotion to the story. That moment where the girl sees Logan die it could easily make anyone cry, we see a man who can finally rest and at the same time the sadness of a girl who loses the only father figure she has ever had.

This is one of the best, most emotional and intense superhero movies I've ever seen, not a typical movie full of hundreds of effects and CGI. This is a dramatic film about a finished superhero who no longer has the motivation to live. A film that gives us one last glimpse of a man who is capable of doing one last heroic act before dying peacefully.
A highly recommended film, which gives us another air to superhero cinema with magical and memorable performances that make us feel much commitment to the characters by the way they suffer the punches of old age.
