Basically and to make it simpler, this super experimental and strange drug makes the woman receive a super boost in her cognitive processes making her acquire a greater control of her mind.

But the story does not stay there and is that this drug in addition to giving her powers is also slowly killing her because somehow makes her addicted to it in order to continue developing her intelligence, ie even though the woman gradually gains greater access to her intelligence needs to continue using the drug so that control is total and somewhat permanent. Hence, a number of situations of action are unleashed before the attempts of women to recover the other packages of drugs, while fighting the mobsters who gave her the dug in the first place.

A movie with very good action scenes, and above all with great visual effects from the point of view of the shots that were used to create the "powers" of Lucy. But with a plot that becomes complicated because we see how Lucy's motives for reaching 100% intelligence are not entirely clear, there is never a clear goal that justifies all the action. Maybe in the end it's so that everyone draws their own conclusions, or maybe it's because I personally didn't understand Lucy's motivation beyond wanting to explore her limits.

As I said this is a movie that has a plot not so complicated at first that becomes strange because of how they end up developing the facts, but at the end a film that never stops being entertaining.

The first serving as Lucy's partner in her quest for knowledge and understanding of what is happening to her, helping her achieve her ultimate goal, the apparent understanding of humanity. A Morgan Freeman who, as usual, gives us a brilliant performance, perfectly embodying a scientist, transmitting knowledge and that sense of doubt that we all feel at some point in the film.

The cherry of the cake is given to us by Scarlett Johansson, in a role somewhat different from what she had recently given us as Black Widow, in this opportunity we see how she develops a more complex character, a woman who at first is innocent and somewhat lost, to then become a superior being who shows no affective reactions or apparent feelings, basically she becomes a human with robotic gestures, and does so in a fantastic way.

The other characters are used only as complements in Lucy's journey to reach what she needs for her intelligence to reach 100%.
