Biopics have quickly become one of the film genres that I like the most because they allow us to explore everything behind the famous and recognised people who marked an era, people who have contributed something to history. That's why when I found out that there was a biopic about Elton John's life, I immediately jumped on it

Rocketman is a film that, like Bohemian Rhapsody, takes us through the life of one of the world's music icons.

Through the different bars of the film we can witness some of the hardest moments in Elton John's career, moments that marked him forever and that are part of his life now in the form of songs that adorn his impressive repertoire.

This film unlike Bohemian Rhapsody offers us a closer follow-up and without so many adornments to the life of Elton, here not only we see the best moments but the plot manages to balance the good and bad moments to make both converge and stand out in a frenetic atmosphere, crazy and with a lot of intensity, an intensity that is generated from the different memorable moments we can see. It is really great to see Elton's most important presentations recreated, presentations that marked his career and undoubtedly catapulted him to become an absolute star, a complete artist who throughout his career despite any questioning could demonstrate how great an artist he is, able to do anything and above all to make the most of the worst situations.

The film wonderfully manages to combine musical scenes with dramatic moments making the whole film submerge in a musical mantle that stands out at every moment, basically the film gradually mutated into a kind of dramatic musical that brings out the best and worst moments of a star through a colorful and intense narrative.

Well, I don't know, because this film has an impressive musicalization, full of energy and magic with a little madness. The way in which the director managed to capture all the euphoria and strength that Elton John generates in his presentations is marvelous, each moment is developed in a masterly way so that music is the protagonist throughout the film, a musicalization that is driven by the performance of a man who transforms himself into a legend in every concert, in every recording and in every sad moment where music is his only and faithful companion. To see how this film can quickly go from a biographical drama to a musical totally full of lights and colors is impressive because it transmits you energy and above all makes you appreciate all the creative processes that a man had to go through in order for his music to be recognized.

Even if you are not a fan of Elton John or if you are simply not familiar with his music, just the same way the atmosphere of the film will capture you by how well developed it is, there is no excessive use of music, everything is put in place and at the time necessary to give a twist of tremendous quality to the scenes and especially to make us fall in love with the music in the same way that Elton John did.

For me this film is an example that doing things the right way you can get to double the strength and energy that live shows generates, because this film makes it, this film allows us to immerse ourselves in each concert as if we were there in real life. No scene feels different or as if it had been set to fill a gap, each moment stands out separately and together to develop the life of a man who is at a musical level close to that of a god.

Without doubt one of my favorite musical and biographical films because it manages wonderfully to entertain and make you feel part of the whole story.
