Do you know I have been watching this series for the last two days? I don’t even know how I managed to complete it with my busy schedule, but I have been working and chilling with it, taking pauses in between. I have also watched it before and I decided to watch it again. If I am to be honest, the only thing wrong with this series is that it didn't continue and ended in season three. Each season only had 10 episodes which even made me love it because these guys weren’t joking, they went straight to the point and killed it. The action, the thriller, the suspense (oh yes it has a lot of suspense). This genre is a combination of action crime and historical drama, and to be honest, every single part of it is so rich that it would leave you asking for more even after season 3.

The series hails from the 1870s, the actions, the crimes and immigrants. It tells the story of the time when immigrants were spat on and racism was the order of the day. You know I used to think that it was just blacks, but even the Chinese, Japanese and a lot of other nations and races suffered this racism and this series told the story. But then this series took it even more to the level of martial arts which was really interesting, but it isn’t your conventional martial arts but rather the type that comes with a lot of politics LOL. Ah Sahm who happened to be a very skilled martial artist came from China to find his sister, in the process he encountered a lot of obstacles and made a lot of enemies only to discover that his sister would become one of his greatest enemies.

Ah Sahm's sister becomes one of the most powerful people in San Francisco, by marrying one of the most powerful men in San Francisco who also happens to be the leader of the rival gang Ah Sahm is in. She takes over power after her husband dies and you would think she would reunite with her brother after that, but it doesn’t happen. Ah sahm discovers that she doesn’t even want him interfering with her life or even helping her in a very brutal way which makes their relationship deteriorate even more. His sister’s lust for power and influence eventually bites back at her and now Ah Sahm is forced to choose between loyalty to his gang and the responsibility of protecting his sister.
