I finally watched Money Heist (Korea Version)

Review by @kingsleyy · 1157d · of Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area

Greetings, movie lovers! 🤝 Image designed by me via canva

So I finally watched Money Heist (the Korean version) after much procrastination.

This blog is not a normal review; it's just my ratings and how I came about this movie... because I know all of you have seen the movie and I was the only one that was yet to watch

Last December, I decided to settle for some series as I was free from work and needed to unwind. I was eager to watch some of the highly hyped movies that I was yet to watch, so I picked Money Heist and Game of Thrones and asked my friends to suggest which one to watch. 80%of my friends suggested Game of Thrones, so I settled for Game of Thrones.

To be sincere, I didn't find pleasure watching Game of Thrones because the first set of episodes were full of talks and confusing(to me). So I stopped at the fifth episode with the mindset to continue whenever I'm free, and that is it till today😎.

Just this month, I decided to give Money Heist a try. I'm a K-drama fan, so I settled for the Korean version, and the first episode won my heart and made me want for more.

The storyline

The storyline is so loving, especially the way it kept unfolding deeper as the episode passes by. At first, I thought they were just there to rob the mint and pack all the money there, but I got wowed when they said they were not only packing money there but printing money. This part of the story made me to think far...imagine if I succeed with this kind of heist in Nigeria🏋️

The professor did a good brain work by planning it well. They captured the mint workers and held them hostages, which they used to print the money, because they knew they couldn't print the money without the help of professionals otherwise they'd print counterfeit. How the storyline got linked up with the political sector is a big bomb too.

Romantic scene

I don't know how, but I just fell in love with Tokyo. Her bravery is top-notch. Image source

I love how Rio kept expressing his feelings towards her and how he felt when he heard that Tokyo was returning back to the mint after she escaped, which was a 100% dangerous task. Also, how Rio lost control when they shot her made their love scene more interesting.

Denver and Mi-seon: This is another lovebirds I love in the movie, their feelings wasn't faked; it just occurred like that.

I didn't like the bond between Professor and Inspector Woo-jin because it wasn't intended from the start.

Action

image source I love movies that are full of action. All thanks to Berlin, the no-nonsense leader! The last scene where they had a showdown with the police was massive; in fact, that's my favourite part of the movie. Image source I love how all of them came out on stage with the police. I was more happy to see Mi-seon come out with her gun to join them in shooting the police.

The happy ending

I was very excited to see all of them come out alive. I really thought none of them would make it. In fact, I was praying for Tokyo, Denver, Mi-seon, and Rio to make it out, at least. But thank God, all of them escaped, including Berlin.

So bad for Moscow and Oslo that died in the mint.

After watching the movie, I was like, "Why did my friends recommend Game of Thrones instead of Money Heist?" According to them, GOT is still very interesting. I won't believe that until I finally see GOT.

Just like I said at the beginning of this blog, this is not a regular review; it's just me, saying my love for the movie, because I know you've seen the movie as well.

But nevertheless, in case you've not seen this movie (which I'm not sure), do give it a try, and you won't regret it. I give it 9stars✨ (out of 10stars✨.)

Thanks for reading.
