A few days ago I saw the movie "The woman in the window" and although the movie fulfills the function of entertaining, it is not very good.
The movie is about a woman who lives locked in her house because she is afraid to go out in the street, the woman has lived a traumatic event that will be revealed later.
Specifically, the woman suffers from agoraphobia (which is the fear of open spaces) which makes her maintain a life imprisoned in her own house.
When a family moves into the house across the street from Dr. Anna Fox, played by the beautiful Amy Adams, the strange begins to happen for Anna.
For she witnesses a murder, the new family has committed a crime and Anna witnesses it, however, the neighbors will try to hide it, attacking Dr. Fox as they can.
They try to accuse Fox, who suffers from hallucinations and dementia due to the pills she takes, as she is under treatment, however Anna will try to prove by all means that the crime actually happened and that she does not suffer from hallucinations.
This is where the film reaches its best moments because, in reality it makes you doubt the sanity of Anna Fox, because the pills can make her see things that did not really happen or that hide the murder and everyone is against Fox, this is for me the most striking of the film.
A pretty good psychological thriller, but the action moments leave much, much to be desired, they feel fake and poorly acted.
The film manages to keep the viewer glued to the seat because it is quite interesting, however it only fulfills the role of entertaining, do not expect to see a work of art.
The beauty of Amy Adams, makes a good performance in the film, a great job to hear from her. A movie that is about facing our fears and fighting them, plus it raises awareness of so many other things that it is worth watching.
Although while watching the movie I couldn't help but compare it to the Simpsons episode, where Bart gets fractured and lives in his room and with a camera spies on the neighbors and a misunderstanding makes him think that Flanders killed his wife.

Hace uno pocos días vi la película "The woman in the window" y aunque la película cumple con la función de entretener, no es muy buena que digamos.
La película trata de una Mujer que vive encerrada en su casa porque tiene miedo de salir a la calle, la mujer ha vivido un evento traumático que se nos irá revelando más adelante.
En específico la mujer Sufre de agorafobia(que es el miedo a los espacios abiertos) lo que la hace mantener una vida presa en su propia casa.
Cuando una familia se muda a la casa enfrente de la doctora Anna Fox, personaje protagonizado por la bella Amy Adams, es que comienza a suceder lo extraño para Anna.
Pues ella es testigo de un asesinato, la nueva familia ha cometido un crimen y Anna es testigo de ello, no obstante, los vecinos tratarán de ocultarlo, atacando a la doctora Fox a cómo puedan.
Se le trata de acusar a Fox, que sufre de Alucinaciones y de demencia por la pastillas que ella consume, pues está bajo tratamiento, sin embargo Anna tratará de probar bajo todos los medios que el crimen en realidad ocurrió y que no sufre de Alucinaciones.
Acá es donde la película alcanza los mejores momentos pues, en realidad se hace dudar de la cordura de Anna Fox, pues las pastillas puede que le hagan ver cosas que no ocurrieron de verdad o que ocultan el asesinato y todos están en contra de Fox, esto es para mi lo mas llamativo de la película.
Un triller psicológico bastante bueno, pero los momentos de acción dejan mucho, pero mucho que desear, se sienten falsos y mal actuados.
La película si logra mantener al espectador pegado al asiento pues es bastante interesante de eso no hay que tener dudas, no obstante sólo cumple con el papel de entretener, no esperen ver una obra de arte.
La belleza de Amy Adams, hace una buena actuación en la película, un gran trabajo oír parte de ella. Una película que trata de afrontar nuestros miedos y luchar contra ellos, además de que hace conciencia de muchas otras cosas que por lo vale la pena mirarla.
Aunque mientras miraba la película no pude evitar compararla con el episodio de Los Simpsons, donde Bart se fractura y vive en su habitación y con una cámara espía a los vecinos y un mal entendido le hace pensar que Flanders mató a su esposa.
