Hello friends of the @movies&tvshows community, a real pleasure to participate in a new contest that promotes interaction among the members of this space of cinephiles par excellence; and to contribute my grain of sand in the construction of moments of encounter, with the sharing of publications related to the theme of the best horror movie I've seen. It undoubtedly represents the immersion in an adventure, where we remove our memories in search of that film that did not leave the best impressions and the best scares, those that did not let us sleep peacefully after watching them, that is, a film that has caused us such fear that causes us that strange pleasure of feeling fear, but continue watching it, making us imagine ourselves as another actor in each scene. Join me!
Certainly there are many productions of the horror and horror genre, in the last 20 years and even more recent, which are very good in my opinion, however in my opinion, at the beginning of the millennium a kind of pattern emerged in this genre, which began to subtract that sense of originality that a good film should have. I am referring to that of placing loud and sudden sounds in the most suspenseful scenes of the plot, with which the viewers simply jumped, but not out of fear of what was happening, but the impression between a gesture and an exaggerated and unexpected noise, that is, that is not to generate terror as such, but as cheating hahaha. This is just one of the reasons why I end up choosing a not so current production, but still valid, for its originality, for the theme and the uneasiness that it generated when I saw it, its many scenes that caused real nightmares; it was always broadcast at night, on national channels and it is practically a classic of terror, which lives up to its name: "Nightmare on Hell Street", Although its original name is: Nightmare on Elm Street.
Does the name Freddy Krueger mean anything to you?
Simply the personification of the perfect villain, his appearance alone is frightening, his personality stalking and ruthless, his modus operandi: To get into the dreams of the victims (mostly young), while they sleep and turn them into tortuous nightmares, which step by step, physically and psychologically injures them, using a glove that has sharp blades, disturbing the mental stability of the characters, who like the viewer, feel terror at bedtime; because that is when the dream killer appears. Usually the attacks end in the death of those, who certainly have links with a strange past, in an invisible, chilling and terrifying way.

[Source Image](https://www.sensacine.com/peliculas/pelicula-42754/fotos/detalle/?cmediafile=20531531)I remember having seen them all, part I, II and III, each one better than the previous one; it was a saga that lasted until part 8 I think hahaha; but the first 4 installments, were the best. In part I, the beautiful Nancy and her friends begin to share the same nightmare, but everything changes when they realize that when they wake up, they have the wounds of the murderer in their dreams, the plot takes force when the girl's parents confess to know him. It is truly a great production, entertaining and with its funny touches, the uncertainty of knowing if the beginning or end of each nightmare was interesting, or while watching the film, imagining the ways to defeat the specter hahaha. To my surprise, the beautiful Nancy discovers that by ignoring the killer, he could be defeated. In part 2, the film begins and ends with the yellow school bus scene, a classic and on that occasion it was referred to that the love between the kids was the only thing able to defeat Freddy's evil, but in the end, the villain takes control of the bus again. In the third installment, the kids avoided the villain, making him see his own reflection in a mirror; and in the fourth, burying his bones and sprinkling holy water on them; but Krueger appeared again in another sequel, that is, the villain always got his way, leaving the scene open for a next installment, what days those hahaha.
Despite the fact that they changed the terrifying Freddy Krueger for a guy who told bad jokes before killing his victims, it was one of my favorite horror movies, giving me many nightmares in my adolescence. However, they always insisted on giving it continuity in a commercial way, producing other films related to the character and I think this took away the status and reputation it had. But for my part, I still recognize its initial terror and it is one of my favorite memories that I share with you.
