There are many anime of the Fantasy genre that usually include elements of Ecchi or harem in its development and that in the end turn out to have good relevance and popularity among the public, however this does not mean that just by making an anime of this style you can be successful without worrying about creating a good story and a great character development. This is the case of an anime that even with an unusual theme and even a little innovative ends up being a fairly irrelevant and below average anime, the name of this anime is Monster Musume no Oisha-san also known as Monster Girl Doctor, a relatively recent anime since it was published in mid-2020 counting with a total of 12 chapters and is based on a light novel of the same name which began its publication in 2016 and is still in broadcast which belongs to the Seinen demographic, it also has a manga in publication since 2018 also belonging to the Seinen demographic.

This anime has a somewhat different story and approach to Fantasy anime as it is based on a Doctor and protagonist of the anime called Glenn Litbeit, in this world there are a variety of monsters, from cyclops, centaurs, Harpies, Giants, Mermaids and many more, after a long war between Humans and Monsters manages to reach a general peace and humans and monsters begin to live together instead of fighting each other. The whole story takes place in the city of Lindworn which is a city founded with the objective that humans and monsters live together as one race in harmony and peace. Doctor Glenn is a great doctor of monsters despite being human and is highly respected in the city to be considered one of the best specialists in medicine for monsters. The whole series is based on Dr. Glenn healing and saving all the monsters that need help.

Although the main idea of this anime is somewhat striking the development of the story leaves much to be desired, on many occasions little relevance is given to the disease itself or main theme of the chapter which does not end up being important or striking enough to become the center of attention during the episode. Many characters after having an episode focused on them and press them to be relevant during the episode become unimportant in the other chapters and practically one ends up forgetting about them. Although some stories during this anime manage to be somewhat interesting and capture the viewer's attention to some extent they fail to do this in each chapter and often turn out to be very predictable and even a little boring episodes in addition to never get to deepen much on any particular issue and only seems to be a variety of short stories with little development.

Perhaps one of the most mistaken decisions in this anime is the excessive use of the Ecchi or harem style, as a result of which the few scenes where a more serious or sentimental atmosphere is created end up losing importance. By the end of the series they try to tell a more complex story with a more dramatic approach than the rest of the chapters and although from a certain point it ends up being a good decision, they manage to achieve a great development of the story due to the fact that they develop it in very few chapters. One of the things that surprised me the most was the fact that it is an anime based on a Seinen Novel, since during all the chapters there is never a very dramatic, deep story or one that includes strong and complicated issues for the protagonists, it gives the impression of being more of a Shonen that relies heavily on fanservice where the relevance of the background of the story is the least important thing.

Existen muchos Animes del género Fantasía que suelen incluir elementos de Ecchi o harem en su desarrollo y que al final resultan tener buena relevancia y popularidad entre el público más sin embargo esto no quiere decir que solo por hacer un anime de este estilo se puede tener éxito sin preocuparse por crear una buena historia y un gran desarrollo de personajes. Este es el caso de un anime que incluso con una temática poco común y hasta un poco innovadora termina siendo un anime bastante irrelevante y por debajo del promedio, el nombre de este anime es Monster Musume no Oisha-san también conocido como Monster Girl Doctor, un anime relativamente reciente ya que fue publicado a mediados del año 2020 contando con un total de 12 capítulos y está basada en una novela ligera del mismo nombre la cual comenzó su publicación en el 2016 y aún está en emisión la cual pertenece a la demografía Seinen, también cuenta con un manga en publicación desde el 2018 también perteneciente a la demografía Seinen.

Este anime cuenta con una historia y enfoque algo diferente a los animes de Fantasía ya que se basa en un Doctor y protagonista del anime llamado Glenn Litbeit, en este mundo existen una gran variedad de monstruos, desde ciclopes, centauros, Arpías, Gigantes, Sirenas y muchos más, luego de una larga guerra entre Humanos y Monstruos se logra alcanzar un paz general y los humanos y monstruos empiezan a convivir juntos en vez luchar entre sí. Toda la historia se desarrolla en la ciudad de Lindworn la cual es una ciudad fundada con el objetivo que humanos y monstruos convivan juntos como una sola raza en armonía y paz. El doctor Glenn es un gran médico de monstruos a pesar de ser humano y es muy respetado en la ciudad al considerarlo de los mejores especialistas en medicina para monstruos. Toda la seria se basa en el Doctor Glenn curando y salvando a todos los monstruos que necesitan ayuda.

Si bien la idea principal de este anime resulta algo llamativa el desarrollo de la historia deja mucho que desear, en muchas ocasiones se le da poca relevancia a la enfermedad en sí o tema principal del capitulo el cual no termina de ser lo suficientemente importante o llamativo para convertirse en el centro de atención durante el episodio. Muchos personajes luego de tener un episodio enfocado en ellos y en prensártelos para ser relevantes durante el mismo pasan a tener poca importancia en los demás capítulos y prácticamente uno se termina olvidando de ellos. A pesar de que algunas historias durante este anime consiguen ser algo interesante y captar en cierta medida la atención del espectador no logran hacer esto en cada capítulo y muchas veces resultar ser muy predecible y hasta un poco aburridos los episodios además de que nunca llegan a profundizar mucho en algún tema en concreto y solo parece ser una variedad de historias cortas y con poco desarrollo.

Tal vez una de las decisiones más equivocadas en este anime es el uso excesivo del estilo Ecchi o harem ya que producto de esto termina perdiendo importancia las pocas escenas en donde se crea un ambiente más serio o sentimental. Ya para el final de la serie intentan contar una historia más compleja con un enfoque más dramático a lo del resto de los capitulos y si bien desde cierto punto termina siendo una buena decisión lo logran conseguir un gran desarrollo de la historia por el hecho que la desarrollan en muy pocos capítulos. Una de las cosas que más me sorprendió fue el hecho que se trata de una anime basado en una Novela Seinen ya que durante todos los capítulos nunca se llega a tener una historia muy dramática, profunda o que incluya temas fuertes y complicados para los protagonistas, da la impresión de ser más un Shonen que se apoya mucho en el fanservice en donde la relevancia del trasfondo de la historia es lo menos importante.
