Lady Bird is the debut as director of the actress Greta Gerwig, who tells a semi-autobiographical story based on the time between when she finished high school and went to college (Saoirse Ronan plays the character based on Gerwig). WHAT'S THE STORY? In LADY BIRD, Christine McPherson (Saoirse Ronan), nicknamed "Lady Bird", is finishing her senior year at a private high school affiliated with the faith in Sacramento, California, and is preparing to go to college. His father (Tracy Letts) is unemployed, and the family has no money to send her anywhere.
