El día de hoy te presentó una película muy buena llamada Damsel, un film que mezcla el mundo de la Fantasía, aventura y acción, ambientado en el mundo de medieval donde dos reinos intentan formar alianzas para poder recuperarse económicamente, pero el secreto que esconde este reino sale a la luz cuando una poderosa criatura de las profundidades emerge para devorar a los sucesores de un antiguo rey.

Al momento de encontrar ese misterioso tesoro encuentran 3 extrañas criaturas, donde un rey y sus soldados deciden acabar con su vida, despertando la furia del peor enemigo de un caballero medieval, quizás la muerte sea una bendición para el gran pecado que este rey ha hecho al matar a estas criaturas, en lugar de morir, este poderoso demonio le da la maldición de entregar a lo más sagrado que tiene durante 3 generaciones, y que si no lo hace acabará con todo lo que creado en el mundo y acabaría con toda la humanidad.
Aunque no quiera hacerlo, deberá de buscar la forma de darle lo que quiere a la criatura, porque deberá de combatir contra el reloj, cada ciertos años tiene que entregarle lo que esta enorme criatura pide si quiere mantener a él y toda su generación con vida.

Conoceremos a una princesa llamada "Elodie", una mujer a la que no le gustan mucho las formalidades y que solamente quiere vivir una vida tranquila al lado de su familia sin que le obliguen hacer todas esas cosas que una princesa debe hacer, pasa la mayor parte del tiempo explorando por todos los roncones del reino de su padre hasta que recibe una noticia a la que es el motivo principal de un rey al tener hijos, casarse con un príncipe para dividir las riquezas de ambos reinos.
Su padre la obliga prácticamente a casarse, ya que su reino se encuentran en un colapso económico donde si no hace esto, perderá todo su reino y deberán de volver a los campos para poder sobrevivir. Cosa que se convierte para estos hombres en una deshonra total, y si es de dar a su hija en matrimonio por su honor, lo hacen sin pensarlo 2 veces.
Aunque ella no este de acuerdo, mantiene la esperanza de que por lo menos se casara con un príncipe encantador que la tratara como se merece, como una reina, pero hay algo más que hace que su padre se sienta muy preocupado y culpable con esa decisión.

Esta enorme familia de la realeza tienen extraños gustos a nivel del cultismo, ya que luego de que la princesa Elodie se casara con su príncipe encantador, tienen que hacer una serie de eventos cultos con pactos de sangre para poder formar parte de esta familia, aquí la familia por parte de Elodie no pueden asistir, solamente la familia de su esposo, pero es aquí donde sus verdaderas intenciones salen a la luz.
Elodie es dejada bajo su suerte en una enorme caverna donde deberá de sobrevivir o hacer lo único que tiene que hacer, morir en este solitario lugar donde una enorme y poderosa criatura la acecha desde la oscuridad, donde solamente hay dos opciones, matar a la criatura, o morir en el intento.
Elodie survives this powerful creature thanks to the power of truth, saving her life and the lives of future "queens" who try to marry a false prince who was used by her mother to live on that mountain plagued by curses.
Now let's talk about how good it was for me according to my tastes, I like movies set in this era, the fantasy genre does not please me much, but they managed very well to make it not seem so fake to me, the story is completely good, the setting and character development seemed excellent to me.
I gave this movie 5 stars out of 5, even though it has a little bit of that fantasy that I don't like, the story and the drama it generates in each of the settings is wonderful.

Although in Rotten Tomatoes the critics have not given it a good appreciation (56%), for the audience in general it has seemed quite good (60%), I liked it a lot and I spent 1 hour and 50 minutes very well spent watching this amazing movie.

Elodie sobrevive ante esta poderosa criatura gracias al poder de la verdad, salvando su vida y la de futuras "reinas" que intenten casarse con un falso príncipe que era utilizado por su madre para poder viviendo sobre esa montaña plagada de maldiciones.
Ahora hablemos de lo buena que fue para mí según mis gustos, me gustan las películas ambientadas en esta época, el género de la fantasía no me agrada mucho, pero se las apañaron muy bien para poder hacer que no me parezca tan falso, la historia es completamente buena, la ambientación y el desarrollo de los personajes me pareció excelente.
A esta película le he dado 5 estrellas de 5, aunque tenga un poco de esa fantasía que no me gusta, la historia y el drama que genera en cada uno de los escenarios es maravilloso.

Aunque en Rotten Tomatoes los críticos no le hayan dado una buena apreciación (56%), para la audiencia en general le ha parecido bastante buena (60%), a mí me gusto mucho y pase 1 hora con 50 minutos muy bien gastados viendo esta asombrosa película.
