I'm going to be direct, FULL METAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD IS A DAMN WORK OF ART. I've often said that I'm not a fan of anime, but I've considered this series my favorite for a decade and to this day I haven't found anything that can match it, let alone surpass it.
Voy a ser directo, FULL METAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD ES UNA MALDITA OBRA DE ARTE. Muchas veces dije que no soy fanático del anime, pero esta serie la considero mi favorita desde hace una década y al día de hoy no encontré nada que lo pueda equipar, ni mucho menos superarla.
Whenever I have the opportunity, I recommend watching this series. Even to those people who are not used to watching anime. Personally, I think Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood should be watched by everyone. And in this blog I explain the reasons why.
Siempre que tengo la oportunidad, recomiendo ver esta serie. Incluso a aquellas personas que no acostumbran ver animé. En lo personal, considero que Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood lo debería ver todo el mundo. Y en este blog te explico las razones del porqué.
🔹 A STORY WELL DONE / UNA HISTORIA BIEN HECHA 🔹

The story is very well structured. That means that everything is perfectly tied together, with no plot holes and no inconsistencies. Apart from being extremely interesting and entertaining, it is very well written. You won't find any "Deus ex machina", everything follows a logic and a sense. I have to say that the author did an excellent job in this sense. You can see all the work and effort in her work.
La historia está muy bien estructurada. Eso quiere decir que todo está perfectamente unido, sin agujeros en la trama y sin inconsistencias. Aparte de que es sumamente interesante y entretenida, está muy bien escrita. No van a encontrar ningún “Deus ex machina”, todo sigue una lógica y un sentido. Tengo que decir que la autora hizo un excelente trabajo en este sentido. Se nota toda la labor y el esfuerzo en su obra.
🔸 CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT / DESARROLLO DE PERSONAJES 🔸

The author managed to bring her characters to life. It is amazing the development of the main characters, how they change and evolve as the chapters go by. Not only them, there are a lot of characters with a development and a change. Even this can be seen in antagonists and villains.
La autora logró darle vida a sus personajes. Es asombroso el desarrollo que tienen los protagonistas, como cambian y evolucionan con el pasar de los capítulos. No solo ellos, hay una gran cantidad de personajes con un desarrollo y un cambio. Incluso esto se puede ver en antagonistas y villanos.
🔹 NO PADDING / NO TIENE RELLENO 🔹

If you're like me, you hate too much filler. That's why I have a hard time watching series like One Piece or Naruto. I like the plot to be dynamic and not stagnate for too long. Fortunately, FMA Brotherhood has almost no lulls in its development. I'm not sure, but I think only one episode out of 64 is filler.
Si son como yo, odias el exceso de relleno. Por eso, se me dificulta mucho ver series como One Piece o Naruto. Me gusta que la trama sea dinámica y que no se estanque mucho tiempo. Afortunadamente, FMA Brotherhood casi no tiene pausas en su desarrollo. No estoy seguro, pero creo que solo un episodio de los 64 es de relleno.
🔹🔸 ROY MUSTANG 🔸🔹

So far, I can say with complete certainty that Roy Mustang is the best supporting character I've ever seen. I can't say much, nor give details, but his development is spectacular. And not only that, but also his personality, his role within the series, his story, etc. In my opinion, this character is enough excuse to watch FMA Brotherhood.
Hasta ahora, puedo decir con total seguridad que Roy Mustang es el mejor personaje secundario que vi en mi vida. No puedo decir mucho, ni dar detalles, pero es espectacular el desarrollo que tiene. Y no solo eso, también su personalidad, su rol dentro de la serie, su historia, etc. En mi opinión, este personaje es excusa suficiente para ver FMA Brotherhood.
🔸 PHILOSOPHY / FILOSOFÍA 🔸

This series is very philosophical. There is a part where we are introduced to the concept of "one is all and all is one" which is very interesting and leaves you pondering. Not only that, but it touches on heavy topics such as life, death and God. There is even a character who defines himself as "the truth" which is pure and simple philosophy. In a dialogue he tells you "I AM THE BEING YOU CALL THE WORLD, OR MAYBE THE UNIVERSE, OR MAYBE GOD, OR MAYBE THE TRUTH, OR MAYBE THE ALL, OR MAYBE ONE AND I AM YOU". With that sentence we realize the depth that this series handles.
Esta serie tiene una gran carga filosófica. Hay una parte donde se nos presenta el concepto de “uno es todo y todo es uno” que es muy interesante y te deja reflexionando. No solo eso, sino que se toca temas pesados, como la vida, la muerte y Dios. Incluso hay un personaje que se define como “la verdad” que es filosofía pura y dura. En un diálogo este te dice “SOY EL SER QUE USTEDES LLAMAN EL MUNDO, O TAL VEZ EL UNIVERSO, O TAL VEZ DIOS, O TAL VEZ LA VERDAD, O TAL VEZ EL TODO, O TAL VEZ UNO Y YO SOY TÚ”. Con esa frase nos damos cuenta la profundidad que maneja esta serie.
🔹 VERY GOOD OPENING / MUY BUENOS OPENINGS 🔹

I left this aspect last because I know that many people are not interested or care too much about it. This series has 5 openings in 64 episodes and I can say that all of them are very good or excellent. Personally, I never saw the need to omit the intro of this series. Since they change constantly and as I said before, they are all very good.
Dejé a lo último este aspecto porque sé que a muchos no les interesa o importa demasiado. Esta serie posee 5 openings en 64 capítulos y puedo decir que todos son muy buenos o excelentes. En lo personal, nunca vi la necesidad de omitir la intro de esta serie. Ya que cambian constantemente y como dije anteriormente, son muy buenos todos.
Anyway people, I hope that I have convinced more than one of you to watch this beautiful series. I can assure you that you will not regret it. And if you do, it will be because you haven't seen it before.
En fin gente, espero que a más de uno haya convencido de ver esta hermosa serie. Les puedo asegurar que no se van a arrepentir. Y si lo hacen, será por no haberla visto antes.
