eXistenZ (1999), this movie is inspired by video games. More precisely from the adventures RPG genre. Hence the genre of the film is a science-fiction adventure. Interestingly, the development of the action resembles a video game, as the script is written for play.

The plot gets tangled in an interesting way so one time the viewer can get lost. Films can be labeled as a mindfuck movie. Can be compared to The Game (1997). The film concept is used in a movie, a dream in a dream, a dream-eve.

The director of the film is David Cronenberg. I did not know about humans until I even saw this movie, and after seeing that I also saw two other his films: The Fly, Dead Ringers. I'll look at others further. Otherwise, this The Fly was a famous movie, had the status of a classic. But for him another time.
