Movie Review: Behind The Scenes.

Review by @marsdave · 3h · of Behind the Scenes

This happens to be a movie I've watched too, and, erm, something happened to someone very close to me earlier today, and it reminded me of this movie. It was about being a good person, giving and doing everything for others while not really checking to see how you're being affected.

I must add that this movie is also by the great Funke Akindele herself. Trust me to always give you reviews and recommend very good movies for you. This is as well a very good one. Here, she didn't act the lead role, but she delivered very well too. The lead role was acted by Scarlet Gomez; if you've watched "Wura," you will know how great of an actor she is. She acted as Ronke in the movie. A very successful woman who's spending so much to help not just her family but even those around her. Doing all of that while neglecting her own self... Just like I mentioned earlier...

She happens to be the go-to person for almost anything and everything. Anything happens, go to Ronke; we need this, call Ronke; money is the issue, reach out to Ronke.... And many more... In short, she's the type that everyone runs to when they need help or have a problem. And I especially love that movie because it is just so real. It is exactly the same thing some people are experiencing in real life. Always giving, always coming through for others, whereas they forget to care for themselves too. Just like the situation I saw earlier today that reminded me of this movie.

It even got to an extent that she wasn't seeing it as helping. Like, it became like a hobby, something she can't see herself not doing, and the people receiving the help and all too stopped seeing it as receiving help, more like it has become familiarity, or should I call it expectation? Like, she will do it; she just has to do it; she will have no option but to come through.

Also, I loved how that Funke Akindele didn't even act the lead role even though it was her movie. She did well with what she acted on too, though. She acted like that kind of family member who always acts pitiful and wants you to pity her and sacrifice for her. And I must add that she can be very frustrating. There are things she acted that I felt... What? How can you? You know...

A lot of things went wrong and went right in the movie. Towards the end, Ronke had to fake her own death just so to see those who are loyal to her and those who are using and taking advantage of her. Believe me, you should give this movie a watch.

The movie has some bits of funny moments in it, though; even still, I love it. It delivered the message perfectly. And it was a very serious message. It's one of those movies you will watch and have something to brood over. You can't just watch it and let go, the kind you will even rewatch. And I can't deny that I learned from it. Yeah, I learned that it is good to be good, that it is good to be generous, but that we shouldn't always go all out. There should be a limit to our generosity. It is always okay to say no.

But then, I would definitely love for you to watch this movie. I'm especially recommending this movie. Honestly, much more than I was able to comprehend with words is what you will find there. And I'm sure you will have something to grab in it too.

Behind the scenes. Give it a watch.

I've watched it The movie is interesting and educative too. Though I did not like the fact that uzor arukwe had to die. His death pained me
