It took me months to see this movie and I wonder where I got the resistance spirit to resist all reviews, shouts, hyping and all about this movie called Behind The Scene till now. It's not a doubt anymore that Nollywood is beginning to give us great time on screen and we defaulters are beginning to head back to our source to support in streaming their productions as well and trust the producer of this movie, Funke Akindele to give her best and the best for her productions.
Behind The Scene [BTS] is a movie of a selflessness, family bond, betrayal, and pain, and life realization. A movie that shows what humans are irrespective of the family bond you share or how you are to them as friends or boss. A movie that showed how being selfless and loving to everyone around you does not warrant been treated the same way but can be strampled upon and even have a pit been dug for to fall into. A movie that shows how unrelated people can act like blood related people, showing you all the love and support even behind you.
Ronke suppirted her family and friend all the days of her life but she never looked after herself or her immediate family. She wanted to be a supportive sister and friend whose loved ones should never suffer until she was diagnosed of lupus and she felt the urge to fake her death in order to see what exactly would happen when she's no more, especially to her children, paradventure she could not survive the sickness. She wanted to watch it all behind the scene when no one thought she was watching.
Unfortunately for Ronke, almost everyone she had spent her life living for turned her world upside after her faked burial and her so-called fear began coming to reality as her children became a subject of suffering and ridicle even in their own house. The most hurtful thing is that, all these were done by a sister she had invested her life and money into and a friend who planned and executed her extortion of a 220million naira.
BTS is not a movie to cry with strength, leave the work for the tears to come around and flow themselves because the betrayal and realities were so shocking especially when she lost her best friend in the process.
The story is quite amazing, real life related experience, and full of real scenes like real life. Talk about the FX make-up for this movie, seriously they're worth an award but I guess they were only nominated for the last AMVCA award but didn't win it. Anyways, other movies were there as competitors too but sincerely it was a great work.
The directors and producers worked really perfect on the story giving a perfect production without been mindful of the cost I guess. The part where they had to carve Ronke's image in order to fake her death was another thing I never expected could be brought into a movie and the clip of that got me attracted to the movie after it went to the cinemas.
Also the part where her friend was shot with a gun at his chest and the spot was gushing out blood was so real and timely unlike the normal Nollywood movies where you get to see just a reddish oil been put on the surface of the shot, not looking real in any way.

| The cast and crew will be what I'll talk about last. They all did amazingly well. The emotions were running left, right and center and the focus of the story never drifted in any way or at any point. Although, I'm beginning to wonder why most of the wealthy families in recent Nollywood movies are all about using Fernandez as their last name or family name. Probably it's their new catch, lol. | |
| The movie had a perfect crew for the story and it brought about perfection of the movie, making it hit billions in box office. It's worth it anyways. |
