Game lore helps create a fully immersive experience and creates loyal fandoms that will continue to support and play the games.
The World of Warcraft spawned countless games in the forms of MMORPG, RTS, MOBA as well as books and movies.
The Elder Scrolls series spanned multiple games and provided a very rich world-building lore that people created their own storylines, fan-fiction and even mods that even made it better.
The Warhammer Universe provided so much inspiration across different mediums.
Riot Games creating a multimedia empire has been set to capture some of that and further enrich their lore by making a sort of origin story for some of their familiar characters.

Set in the cities of Piltover (City of Progress) and Zaun (The Criminal Undercity) we see how stark the difference the two cities are. Even the lighting and environment used are so different as Piltover is often shown during the daylight, with technological marvels and wealth. Zaun on the other hand is often seen as grimy, dank, and dark, with sludges and fumes rising.
We come across the story of two sisters Violet and Powder as they struggle to make a living by stealing from a wealthy household.
Chaos ensues when they set off an explosion of some unknown artifact and here they are chased by the local Enforcers.
Barely getting away and bringing in the heat from the law they are asked to lay low.
We also get to know the characters of Jayce and Caitlyn as being literally on the other side of the door. Coming off as rich and educated, even the way they talked is more polished compared to the two sisters.
Not wanting to spoil I will leave out a lot of details but touch on the insecurities of Powder and Jayce as they struggle to fit in as well as Vi and Caitlyn's desire to do what is right.
Oh and of course Heimerdinger is shown of course as the prime genius and voice of reason. Yet reason often takes a backseat against progress as HexTech is introduced.
Several villains and supporting characters are shown with possible hints of their origins as well as some level of speculations of who is who.
Some are pretty apparent like Singe and Viktor others are presented as a possibility like Warwick.
The art style at first I was not really a fan of it as it looked chalky in texture but later changed my mind during the later part of the show when they started showing off Jinx.
Ah Jinx, when I still played League of Legends Jinx was one of my champions in rotation. Armed with a gatling gun, a rocket launcher and traps she could adapt to the playstyle and harass of the enemy.
Her ultimate where she fires off a huge rocket can either make you the champion or the chump depending if it hits during a crucial clash.
When running away from Jinx never run in a straight line. Don't be like this one.

Going back to Arcane it shows off some of that Hextech gear in later episodes and you know that a whoop-ass is coming! Bring the Pain!

All in all, Arcane was a good show and I would definitely tune in for more as they explore the lore of League of Legends and bring life to the stories of the champions.
Definitely will recommend it and can be watched on Netflix.
