I just watched the last season of one of my favourites comedic shows ever. "Arrested development"

Today I'm just going to talk a little bit about season 5... and 4.
Let's start with 4. What's that remix?
Recently I saw season 4 again... By far the season I saw the fewer amount of times. Not because I liked less... it just happened, also when the first three were out access to shows was still a bit more restricted. All this to say, recently I saw season 4 for the third time.
I noticed that it was called "something consequences" and it was a remix of the season...
I went to find out, why such a thing happened. It turns out people were complaining about the season... oh... it's different, it's not so funny...and what not.

I loved season 4... not only because it was excellent but in fact, it was a bit different, different in the best possible way. They took the identity of the show and applied it beautifully to the new circumstances.
THere was a six-year gap or something like that between the third and fourth season. And the show was told in non-chronological sequence. each episode followed one of the characters during that time period. Fantastic!! Then in the remix, they shorten the length of the episodes and made it chronological, featuring all of the charcetrs, making it more similar to the "old model". In that process A TON of jokes got loss.
Two things:
One I was disappointed that happened. The show creator clearly said that he did the remix for the money, since people were complaining...
Two: I was abit worried for the next season... "Maybe they're just going to try and appeal more people"...
(And third: I truly hope they have the original season for viewing... since now on Netflix (season 4 and 5 are netflix originals) you can only see the remix. (That's a petition I would sign) Plus it's the season I don't have the dvd's, can only hope they'll make it available sometime )
Season 5:
Well, my worries were unjustified... it's a phenomenal season... they went back to the old model, but very justified. We meet all of our favourite characters in some terrific storylines... very, very funny. I've only seen it once, so I can't be 100% sure it has a thousand layers of hidden jokes like before... but the first viewing was just very pleasant.
So here it is. Season 5 it's a must-see for any fan of the show or comedy in general and I hope the original season 4 comes back to the public because... like GOB would say... COME OONNN!!
