Series Review: "Master of None Season 2"

Review by @maxjoy · 3313d · of Master of None

I've finished watching Season 2 of "Master of None"

(By the way here is my season 1 review, in case you're interested. https://steemit.com/film/@maxjoy/series-review-master-of-none)

In short, I liked season 1 and I must say... I liked season 2 even more.

They kept all the good points of the first season and made it better and different.

The season starts in Italy where I main character moved to in order to learn how to make pasta.

Immediately we have a full episode in black and white spoken mainly in Italian (When appropriate) in mainstream American television.

And more importantly the episode is good.

They have some other inventive episodes

Minor spoilers ahead

In one episode they take the concept of films such has new "York I love you" or "Paris je t'aime" and bring a few separate stories of different people who are connected by a film.

In another they show different thanksgiving dinners of a family thought out 20+ years.

Another episode is a reference for old school Italian films...

This is good Television.

Minor spoilers over

They keep on touching important topics of daily life and western society in a light, unpretentious, funny and propaganda free way.

When I saw the first season I did not know, it was a very liked show... Personally I don't think It's a life changing piece of entertainment. But it's definitely worth a viewing... And the above points make it a rare show in todays world.

I will see it if they keep making it, Aziz and the rest of the crew are making a great job that while simple stands out in the sea of shows.
