Good day Ciners! hope your having a wonderful time I think movies are starting to pick up again and some of the awesome T.V Series are really starting to hit the mark. Today we are exploring OBI WAN KENOBI which recently debuted on Disney.
Fair warning, I am a massive star wars buff and for many we often wonder why. It has been one of the most historically significant cult classics but it is also one of the most played around with, altered, changed and stuffed up franchises in the history of film and television.
A good part of that is due to episodes 4 5 & 6 being created first and given technology was well, Star Wars was technology back then. It left quite the many gaps in the film especially when it came to Jedi's and Siths.

To point out the bleeding obvious the age disparity between Obi Wan now and Obi Wan then is not inline with the time lines and no doubt there will be some light force draining plot line that will explain this but we will never know. Unless this Ben is actually Obi Wans brother like he randomly announced in episode 2. Which was initially the story but George Lucas chopped and changed Star Wars stories while filming which is how we ended up with Darth Vader as Luke's father.
It is also how we ended up with Princess Leia being Luke's sister which wasn't the case until later on and makes absolutely no sense why she is in Obi Wan. I get they needed a story line something to get Obi out of Tatooine because having the story happen there means Luke would have got exposed sooner.
But we learn nothing of this in episodes 4 5 6 or 7 8 9. I can see what they are doing though because in episode 4 remember R2 D2 goes to Ben with a message from Princess Leia. How did she know he was there? there had to be a back ground story and this is the tie off.
But again why the difference in Leia and Luke, why hidden from Luke? that's where Owen comes into play and has to be the negative uncle. Everyone else in the Star Wars universe is always pushing people away to go learn the force but not Owen.
Also, if Owen is Anakin's brother WTF how come he living so poor and not up there ruling the Empire? There are SOOOOOO many plot holes between them. No one completely cuts off their family. How does Anakin learn the kids are alive? how come he doesn't feel Leia when he is walking around the streets? guess he is too busy hunting Ben.
Lets talk about Ben Ben is one of the greatest Jedi that ever lived and super powerful with the blade and force. Just can't shoot lightning bolts or stop entire air craft like Ray. How much power did episodes 7 8 9 bring. Kylo Ren is so much more powerful than Vader despite Vader being one of the most powerful Jedi that ever lived. Although, compared to some of the other Sith it doesn't add up.
But I guess it comes down to being able to defeat your foe and using the force has no limitations which makes us wonder how he got rekt by the Emperor, guess he was old and weakened.
So one thing EVERY Star Wars fan has been waiting the entire saga to see is not Ben and Vader face off, we already know that one. End in a hanger and a Houdini. What we want is to see Vader tearing up the Galaxy absolutely destroying the joint.
Rogue One closed that loop so the only time it could occur is pre Luke and Leia. So the Obi Wan and Anakin battle must continue.
Now given we have two epic Jedi well a former Jedi straight off the back of Episode 3 Obi Wan is still in his peak and Vader has had 5 years to develop his skills, but obviously that's not the angle they are going for.
I'm guessing Darth Vader has been trained by the Sith Lord at this stage so is at his strongest or getting there but to enable character development and create a story they have broken Obi - Wan. He is no longer one with the force and hides and pretends not to be a Jedi, he is broken.
They had too though despite Ben being a lot stronger in episode 3 compared to Obi Wan now. But they had too break Ben because he literally last week, ended Anakin. Doesn't matter how much stronger Anakin gets if Obi Wan kept training he would too get stronger.
Yoda gave Ben an assignment but he hasn't even been able to do it.
So anyway, the T.V series is ok but I am not a fan because what I really want is a hole series or movie of Darth Vader dominating the Galaxy and getting away with it. I want to know how and why he has become the strongest most fear Sith ever because at the moment, he is just Anakin in a suite with a castle.
