Siempre he pensado que la expansión de todo lo referente a "Star Wars" es una excelente idea; el explorar historias de otros personajes ya existentes en esta saga o crear nuevos que hagan crecer más a esta historia que se desarrolla en un universo muy, pero muy lejano es lo necesario para que los fieles fans se mantengan activos dentro de esta franquicia, pero también da la oportunidad para obtener a nuevos fans que con el estreno de cada uno de estos proyectos podrán descubrir una gran historia llena de aventuras, buenos personajes, héroes y villanos y la gran lucha entre el bien y el mal; ahora no es un secreto que todo éxito, a pesar de usar una marca tan famosa, dependerá de que tan buena es la historia a relatar, tanto en películas como en series, que despierte la atención de un gran número de fans y que respondan o superen las expectativas para que así pueden perdurar en el tiempo y no sea un puro completo o relleno, pero lamentablemente algunas de estas producciones en vez de enriquecer toda esta historia, se siente que es una obligación y nos hace pensar que si en realidad hizo falta su creación, pero como he dicho, todo depende de la calidad de la producción y que haga al espectador sentirse satisfecho y con ganas de ver más.

I have always thought that the expansion of everything related to "Star Wars" is an excellent idea; exploring stories of other characters already existing in this saga or creating new ones that make this story that takes place in a very, very distant universe grow is what is necessary for the loyal fans to stay active in this franchise, but it also gives the opportunity to get new fans that with the release of each of these projects will discover a great story full of adventures, good characters, heroes and villains and the great struggle between good and evil; now it is no secret that any success, despite using such a famous brand, will depend on how good the story to be told, both in movies and series, that awakens the attention of a large number of fans and that they meet or exceed expectations so that they can endure over time and not be a purely complete or filler, but unfortunately some of these productions instead of enriching the whole story, it feels like an obligation and makes us think that it was really necessary to create it, but as I said, it all depends on the quality of the production and that it makes the viewer feel satisfied and wanting to see more.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi" es un respetado, admirado y querido personaje por cada persona que se considere fan de "Star Wars"; desde el primer momento que lo vi en la llamada Episodio lV, sentí que era valiente, poderoso y después en el tiempo descubrí que no era perfecto porque debió mentir para proteger a los verdaderos héroes de la conocida como saga original y eso lo transforma en un gran personaje, pero a la vez en un gran reflejo de lo justamente imperfecto que era la Orden Jedi, pero como fan pudimos descubrir todo eso con las precuelas estrenadas muchos años después y con la buena interpretación que realizó Ewan McGregor que dio más profundidad a la historia de un Jedi que debió aceptar una responsabilidad que no pudo completar y que tampoco pudo salvar a su mejor amigo, a su padowan, pero al final pudo comenzar el camino para la obtención de una nueva esperanza y justamente la historia del tiempo que transcurrió entre el momento de una gran derrota y la esperanza de salvar el universo es lo que faltaba por relatar de este personaje y es por eso que tanto Lucasfilm cómo Disney decidieron traer de vuelta al maestro Jedi para relatar una gran aventura que servirá como conexión entre lo sucedido en Episodio III y el IV.
Obi-Wan Kenobi" is a respected, admired and loved character by every person who considers himself a fan of "Star Wars"; from the first moment I saw him in the so-called Episode IV, I felt that he was brave, powerful and later in time I discovered that he was not perfect because he had to lie to protect the real heroes of the original saga and that makes him a great character, but at the same time a great reflection of how justly imperfect the Jedi Order was, but as a fan we were able to discover all that with the prequels released many years later and with the good performance by Ewan McGregor who gave more depth to the story of a Jedi who had to accept a responsibility that he could not complete and could not save his best friend, but in the end he was able to start the path to obtain a new hope and precisely the story of the time that elapsed between the moment of a great defeat and the hope of saving the universe is what was missing from this character and that is why both Lucasfilm and Disney decided to bring back the Jedi master to tell a great adventure that will serve as a connection between what happened in Episode III and IV.
La historia a contar en lo que por ahora es considerado como una miniserie me pareció algo excelente, tenemos la oportunidad de ver a alguien tan relacionada con la fuerza sentirse derrotado y perdido, algo que ya fue desarrollado en el Episodio VIII cuando se mostró a "Luke Skywalker" lleno de culpa e incógnitas por todo lo que sucedió al momento de entrenar a su sobrino "Ben Solo"; en esta historia enfocada en Obi-Wan quien ahora se hace llamar "Ben", veremos al antiguo Jedi aceptar la misión de vigilar a Luke quien vive con sus tíos en Tatooine, puedo decir que Ben ha renunciado por completo a practicar la fuerza, en cambio, ha aceptado una vida monótona en dónde una cueva se ha convertido como en un tipo de prisión en dónde puede pensar en su derrota a no poder salvar a Anakin y a Padme; esa culpa lo convirtió en un cobarde, en alguien solitario, deprimido y peor aún, lo convirtió en alguien a qué no importa ver cómo otros Jedis son perseguidos y cazado por los "Inquisidores" quienes son fieles tanto al emperador Palpatine cómo a Darth Vader; todo esto referente a la historia de la serie y a la subsiguiente misión que deberá aceptar por el bien del futuro en el universo, sin ninguna duda es lo mejor de la serie, una buena idea para mostrar otra faceta más de este personaje y una parte necesaria para toda esta gran saga.
The story to be told in what for now is considered as a miniseries seemed to me something excellent, we have the opportunity to see someone so related to the force feel defeated and lost, something that was already developed in Episode VIII when it showed "Luke Skywalker" full of guilt and unknowns for everything that happened at the time of training his nephew "Ben Solo"; In this story focused on Obi-Wan who now calls himself "Ben", we will see the former Jedi accept the mission of guarding Luke who lives with his uncles on Tatooine, I can say that Ben has completely given up practicing the force, instead, he has accepted a monotonous life where a cave has become a kind of prison where he can think of his defeat at not being able to save Anakin and Padme; that guilt turned him into a coward, into someone lonely, depressed and even worse, turned him into someone who does not care to see how other Jedi are persecuted and hunted by the "Inquisitors" who are loyal to both Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader; all this referring to the story of the series and the subsequent mission that he must accept for the sake of the future in the universe, without any doubt is the best of the series, a good idea to show another facet of this character and a necessary part for this great saga.
Aparte de la historia, mis expectativas estaba en la producción y sé que no esperaba que tuviera un presupuesto de algún film de esta franquicia, pero si un correcto trabajo y debo decir que lamentablemente está es una de las características negativas de esta serie; sé que para Lucasfilm y Disney el hecho de hacer una historia sobre este personaje era lo suficiente para captar la atención de los fans, pero creo que debieron enfocarse en otros aspectos para hacer a esta historia especial y correspondiente a lo que significa este personaje para esta historia, por ejemplo los dos primeros episodios no son lo suficientemente entretenidos, dirigidos y actuados y aparte de eso, el uso del CGI no es el mejor porque en muchas escenas se ve una calidad muy baja como la usada en otras series en dónde se han ganado el rechazo por lo muy mal del uso de diferentes efectos; otro fallo es el poco uso de alienígenas y los que aparecen tienen un muy mal diseño, de igual forma los androides, todos parecen disfraces y me hizo recordar a los alienígenas villanos que aparecen en series de los "Power Rangers"; pienso que esto es sumamente malo para lo que debería ser una producción importante dentro de estos proyectos de Star Wars.
Apart from the story, my expectations were in the production and I know that I did not expect it to have a budget of any film of this franchise, but a correct work and I must say that unfortunately this is one of the negative characteristics of this series; I know that for Lucasfilm and Disney the fact of making a story about this character was enough to capture the attention of the fans, but I think they should have focused on other aspects to make this story special and corresponding to what this character means for this story, for example the first two episodes are not entertaining enough, directed and acted and apart from that, the use of CGI is not the best because in many scenes you see a very low quality as used in other series where they have earned the rejection for the very bad use of different effects; Another flaw is the little use of aliens and those that appear have a very bad design, likewise the androids, all look like costumes and reminded me of the alien villains that appear in series of "Power Rangers"; I think this is extremely bad for what should be an important production within these Star Wars projects.
Estos proyectos dan oportunidades de desarrollar más las historias de muchos personajes conocidos y poder conocer a nuevos, esto puede funcionar o no y justamente en esta serie veremos por ejemplo la historia de "Reva" un Inquisidor con un pasado muy cercano a Obi-Wan y más que nada a Anakin, en parte entiendo la creación de este personaje y como sería relevante a esta historia, pero creo que hizo falta otras cosas más para que funcione como por ejemplo tiempo; tal vez un episodio enfocado completamente en este personaje era lo necesario para crear un mejor empatía con ella, saber que tan villano o no pueda ser, pero pienso que aquí aparece otro factor como el de la actuación y es que en mi opinión Moses Ingram quien da vida a Reva, no hizo un gran trabajo y lamento que eso haya sucedido porque pienso que el personaje en sí pudo ser muy importante; aparte de ella me gustó ver dos versiones de personajes sumamente importantes para esta saga como son "Leia" y "Darth Vader"; ver a la princesa leia de tan solo 10 años de edad, me pareció excelente y no comparto la opinión de algunas personas que catalogan a esta versión del personaje como molesto porque pienso que es una buena interpretación de alguien que será una gran líder para la resistencia y es por eso que mostrarla cómo alguien valiente, decidido con buenos principios y siempre con iniciativa es lo que esperaba ver ella, sin duda que cumplió mis expectativas; por parte de Lord Vader que se haya contado con el regreso de Hayden Christensen para su interpretación fue algo sorprendente y justo, la versión de Vader es despiadada, llena de rabia y pasión, no es la misma que podemos ver en Episodio IV en adelante, porque a pesar de haber transcurrido 10 años de su nacimiento, todavía no puede considerarse como maestro del Lado Oscuro, pero sin ninguna duda el poder que emana es impresionante y a la vez único; todos estos personajes para bien o para mal, complementa está historia de como un hombre debe enfrentar la culpa para volver a creer en sí mismo y así esperar al momento específico para ayudar a salvar al universo.
These projects give opportunities to further develop the stories of many known characters and to meet new ones, this can work or not and just in this series we will see for example the story of "Reva" an Inquisitor with a past very close to Obi-Wan and mostly to Anakin, partly I understand the creation of this character and how it would be relevant to this story, but I think it lacked other things to make it work as for example time; maybe an episode completely focused on this character was what was needed to create a better empathy with her, to know how villainous or not she can be, but I think that here appears another factor like acting and in my opinion Moses Ingram who gives life to Reva, did not do a great job and I regret that this happened because I think the character itself could have been very important; apart from her I liked to see two versions of extremely important characters for this saga such as "Leia" and "Darth Vader"; to see princess leia at only 10 years old, I thought it was excellent and I don't share the opinion of some people who categorize this version of the character as annoying because I think it's a good interpretation of someone who will be a great leader for the resistance and that's why showing her as someone brave, determined with good principles and always with initiative is what I expected to see her, no doubt that she fulfilled my expectations; on the part of Lord Vader the return of Hayden Christensen for his interpretation was something surprising and fair, the version of Vader is ruthless, full of rage and passion, it is not the same that we can see in Episode IV onwards, because despite being 10 years after his birth, he still can not be considered a master of the Dark Side, but without any doubt the power he emanates is impressive and at the same time unique; all these characters, for better or for worse, complement this story of how a man must face his guilt to believe in himself again and thus wait for the specific moment to help save the universe.
Es una lástima de que esta miniserie/serie no me haya gustado por completo, es extraño lo que diré, pero pensaba que se debió desarrollar mejor la historia agregando uno o dos episodios más, enfocados en los villanos, preferiblemente en los Inquisidores, pero a la vez pienso que seis episodios fueron suficientes porque la producción no fue la mejor y si agregan más tiempo seguramente hubiera sido peor a lo que hicieron. Personalmente, me gustó por completo tanto el episodio 5 y 6, para mí los mejores por cómo se mostró muchas cosas entre la relación de Anakin, Vader y Obi-Wan, esto fue sumamente importante para frases muy famosas que se dicen en "A New Hope" cuarto episodio en toda la saga de los Skywalker, es algo que aprecio que se haya hecho, pero reconozco que de igual manera es parte del problema porque el fanservice es perfecto, pero la calidad de la historia en varias partes no es la mejor y solo el uso de la nostalgia es lo que hace que los fans considere a estas producciones como la mejor aunque nunca se muestra nada nuevo. No sé si habrá más historias que contar por parte de Obi-Wan, no sé que villanos pueda afrontar y si todavía su vida en esta etapa esté ligada a Luke y leia, pero si en algún momento deciden hacer una segunda temporada solo espero que en esta oportunidad puedan hacer un mejor trabajo y dar oportunidad a este gran personaje de seguir siendo el maestro que es.
It's a pity that I didn't like this miniseries/series completely, it's strange what I will say, but I thought they should have developed the story better by adding one or two more episodes, focused on the villains, preferably on the Inquisitors, but at the same time I think that six episodes were enough because the production was not the best and if they add more time surely it would have been worse than what they did. Personally, I completely liked both episode 5 and 6, for me the best ones because of how many things were shown between the relationship of Anakin, Vader and Obi-Wan, this was extremely important for very famous phrases that are said in "A New Hope" fourth episode in the whole Skywalker saga, it is something I appreciate that has been done, but I recognize that it is still part of the problem because the fanservice is perfect, but the quality of the story in several parts is not the best and only the use of nostalgia is what makes fans consider these productions as the best even though nothing new is ever shown. I don't know if there will be more stories to tell by Obi-Wan, I don't know what villains he can face and if still his life at this stage is linked to Luke and Leia, but if at some point they decide to make a second season I just hope that this time they can do a better job and give a chance to this great character to continue being the master he is.
