This survival biography genre movie is based on the true story of an Australian teen named Jessica Watson, who at the age of 16 successfully completed a solo expedition across the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans between October 18, 2009, and May 15, 2010.

Jessica Watson received the coveted "Medal of the Order of Australia" for her accomplishment, given out by the Australian government. There is also a sailing enthusiast named Ben Bryant, a former sailing champion who serves as her instructor in her quest to sail the world.

Bryant initially had little faith in Jessica's potential because she was still so young. Yet, Jessica's enthusiasm altered Bryant's perspective and helped Jessica receive the training she needed to become an excellent sailor.

Jessica set out on a 210-day journey with the help of her family to become the nation's youngest sailor. Jessica had a variety of difficulties, thrills, and challenges while on the journey.

In my opinion, this is a family drama with a "good spirit" that the whole family will enjoy watching. The accomplishments of Jessica Watson can serve as motivation for the future generation to pursue their goals.

There are some scenes that make my heart flutter where the final hurdle is overcome where the yacht sinks for quite some time. I can't imagine how Jessica felt when her yacht capsized and was pulled into 17 feet of sea.

Overall, I feel like this movie taught me—and perhaps everyone else—that nothing is impossible if we just want it bad enough.
