Hidden love || Movie Review

Review by @meyateingi · 829d · of Hidden Love

It's the weekend and another time to sit back, unwind, and watch a good movie. Some months ago my younger sister recommended this movie to me and I was skeptical about it because it was a Chinese movie.

I don't think Chinese movies are boring, I feel they can be too long sometimes hehe. I get bored easily when watching a movie, so the shorter the better. I've seen a couple of Chinese movies and honestly, I think Chinese movies deserve a lot more recognition. Everyone knows about Kdrama but Chinese movies are underrated.

SYNOPSIS Hidden Love is a story about Sang Chi who falls in love with her brother's best friend who is older than her. (He's her first love.) Although Jiaxu only sees her as his younger sister, Sang Chi believes that she will grow up into a beautiful young lady and that Jiaxu will see her as a woman and fall in love with her someday.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

Sang Zhi meets Duan Jiaxu For the first time in her older brother's room and immediately falls in love with him. She was captivated by his looks, from the very first day. She was fourteen and he was nineteen years old when they first met. They grew very fond of each other as years went by

Fast forward to years later, Sang Chi graduates from high school and seeks to further her education. At that time Jiaxu was already working in a gaming company but in a different state. She was so determined to follow Jiaxu wherever he went, she had to apply for college in the same city where he worked. This gave them more time to see each other.

As they spent more time together, he started developing feelings for her. He eventually made his feelings known to her at the end, and they started dating. Her brother was against her dating an older guy, and it just had to be his best friend

MY THOUGHTS ON THE MOVIE

Hidden Love is a very interesting movie and I would highly recommend it. Their story is so beautiful, I think I smiled throughout the whole movie 🤭, it's just hard not to.
If I were to rate this movie, I'd give it an 8/10 because it's very interesting.

What attracted me most to the movie is the cast, Sang Chi (Zhia Lousi) is one of my favorite Chinese actresses. All of the casts in the movie are a sight for sore eyes 😅. Chinese movies like this are hard to come by hehehehe

This movie is a must-add to your movie list because it will put a smile on your face. Just what you need for the weekend 😉

    I just came to read your latest publication but my eyes caught an Asian TV show. Haha. So, I immediately jumped onto that, and to my surprise, it wasn't even a Kdrama. Haha.

    When I saw the thumbnail image, the guy looked exactly like Park Hyung Shik, a Korean actor

    I only got to realize they are completely different people while reading the post.

    The section of the post that contained your thoughts about the movie is quite hilarious. All the emojis there show exactly how excited you are about the show. Haha.

    Well Done, Meya.
