I've watched this movie like a thousand times on Netflix and each time I do, it feels like I haven't seen it before.
The Runtime for this movie is 3 hours, I know right, that's a lot of time, but trust me when I say 3 hours pass by very quickly when watching this movie.
It's no longer on Netflix, and I don't know any site you can watch it from for free, but if you do get a chance, you'll love it.
It's a Romantic movie, as that's the only type of movie I always dedicate my time to watching hehe. This isn't a movie that would make you cry at all, and it's not a horror movie either.
It's a movie that makes you see life from another perspective and that you can experience true love with someone, Even tho you don't end up with that person.
It also tells us that death is inevitable and that no matter what you do, you must die someday.
I still think this movie deserves an award, and even tho it's been more than two decades since its first release, it is still a classic. I don't think I've seen any negative reviews about this movie.
The casts in this movie are extremely beautiful, and they give each character so much life, that it makes it look like a true-life story.
Its first release was on the 2nd of November 1998 in theaters. The first release date for streaming online was on the 18th of March 2014.
Synopsis
Bill Parish, is a businessman, and he also loves his family very much.
During the week of his 65th birthday, with all the planning and everything going on for the party, he met a Grim Reaper who told him he had only a day to live.
He was devastated at first but later made a deal with the Grim Reaper to let him live for some extra days, at least until he celebrated his 65th birthday, and in return, the Grim Reaper would get to live like a human for those days and know how it feels to be human.
The Grim Reaper took the body of a young and handsome guy (Brad Pitt) and introduced himself to Bill Parish's family as Joe Black.
The body of the man the Grim Reaper took, was the man Bill Parish's daughter met during the day at her usual breakfast spot. She fell in love with him, call it love at first sight. they talked for some time during the day at the coffee shop, and he also promised to buy her coffee some other time.
She was surprised he didn't remember her, and all her attempts to make him remember her were abortive.
The Grim Reaper falls in love with Bill Parish's daughter, and they have some Romance along the line.
Will he leave forever? Or decide to stay with his lover and be human? Does she find out he's a Grim Reaper?
