Here's my first impressions movie review of the new Steven Spielberg film READY PLAYER ONE. I saw a preview screening last night and here you get my spoiler free takes on the story, the script, the acting, the effects, the pop cultural scavenger hunt that this film is going to generate, and some thoughts about Spielberg as a king of genre filmmaking.
Fighter and a musician and a movie guy too. I couldn't imagine why they would name a bad guy Nolan!
I was talking to the guys at the pub recently about how I enjoy movies nowadays, but immediately forget anything about them afterwards unless it is something unique. I am not sure if it is the CGI or the distracting attempts to appeal to the lowest common denominator, or the fact I am getting older!
I will have to check this out and it was good hanging with you in the car.
