We don't know what tomorrow holds for us. Today we're doing great, but tomorrow—who knows? It could be your last day among the living, or you might just get eaten by a zombie 😌. That's why we have to learn to appreciate the little things around us—that's how this idea for Colony came about. Yeah, I think I went a little overboard with the introduction, hahaha.
“colony” is a 2026 film. The way this whole zombie drama begins is quite unique; the opening is really good. It’s not the typical scenario involving a workplace accident or something that happened by mistake—on the contrary, everything was controlled and had a clear plan from the start. The contamination wasn’t spread haphazardly. It really caught my attention because it was different from the other zombie movies I’ve had the pleasure of watching.
I think one of the things I want to highlight is how quickly the problem is resolved—it doesn’t drag on for months or years, as is usually the case in other movies. I liked that it was straightforward and that they didn’t beat around the bush to put an end to all that zombie activity.

Colonia, es un film del año 2026, es bastante peculiar como inicia todo este drama de zombies, su inicio es bastante bueno, no es algo típico como un accidente laboral o que pasó por error, al contrario era todo controlado y tenía ya un enfoque, no fue disperso la contaminación, realmente me llamo la atención que fue distinto a las demás películas de zombies que he tenido el placer de mirar.
Creo que una de las cosas que tengo por destacar es la rápida solución del problema, no es extensible por meses, años, etc como habitualmente se ha visto en otras películas, me gustó que fuera concreta y no dieran tantas vueltas para acabar con todo ese movimiento zombies.

She’s been in some Korean TV series that I used to enjoy watching. Of course, she looks different now, and it’s a huge shift from the dramas I used to see her in to this kind of movie—though it suits her very well. I really liked the drastic change.
The trailer I’m sharing with you is truly astonishing in what it sets out to show—it’s crazy to see the whole scene unfold like that. It’s packed with suspense and action, and I think it also offers lessons about ego and food for thought. Something I’d like to highlight is the unique twist the movie puts on the zombies we’re used to seeing. This time, it’s an evolution of the zombie—they communicate telepathically, which is just crazy. I’d seen hints of this in some other movies, but here it felt more fully developed, perhaps because of the film’s fast pace, and in a way, I really enjoyed watching those scenes.
Yo estuve revisando como se llamaba una de las actrices y si, Jun Ji-hyun la protagonista de esta película se me hacía conocida en cierto aspecto, participo en algunas series coreanas que me gustaba ver, claro ahorita está cambiada y es un cambio brutal del drama que la veía a este tipo de películas, aunque le quedó muy bien, me gustó mucho el cambio drástico.
El tráiler que les comparto deja mucho asombro en lo que ellos quieren mostrar, es una cosa de locos ver toda esta escena así, da mucho suspenso y acción, considero que influye también lecciones de ego y algo por reflexionar.
Algo que me gustaría resaltar es el toque distinto que le da la película a los zombies que estamos acostumbrados a ver, en esta ocasión es la evolución del mismo, comunicación de manera telepatía una cosa de locos, es algo que si tenía conocimiento en algunas pero está fue como más desarrollado capaz por la velocidad de la película y de cierto modo me gustó ver esas escenas.
These were the two scenes I liked: I like to highlight certain things, and in the first one, I liked how they started implementing methods to go unnoticed and began studying the people who had turned into zombies; then I really liked how the escape plan unfolded. The second image shows the total control and dominance that the leader of this newly evolving species had—where only he could control them. It’s quite frustrating to watch, but satisfying in a way that’s different from many others.
The fiction and action scenes must have been spectacular on the big screen; it has great shots and high-resolution visuals to put on a good show—of course, with the right audience, everything would come together perfectly for everyone’s enjoyment.
One of my final recommendations is whether it’s suitable for everyone, and in this case, I don’t think it’s appropriate for children—it’s violent and has scenes that could cause nightmares. It’s great for a Saturday night—gripping, and it holds your attention for its two hours and change. Although I’m not usually into long movies, this one convinced me to give it a chance. Dos escenas que me gustaron fueron estas dos, me gusta resaltar algunas cosas y en la primera me gustó como empezaron a implementar métodos para pasar desapercibidos y empezaron a estudiar a las personas convertidas en zombies, entonces me gustó mucho como se dió el plan de escape y la segunda imagen muestra el control y dominio total que tenía el jefe de mando de esta nueva especie en evolución, dónde solo el podía controlarlos, es bastante frustrante verlo pero satisfactorio que no es igual a muchos.
En el cine debieron estar espectaculares las escenas de ficción y acción, tiene buenas tomas y resolución para dar un buen espectáculo, claro con el público correcto todo entraría perfecto para el disfrute.
Una de las recomendaciones que hago al final es si es apto para todos y en esta ocasión no considero que sea apto para niños, es violento y tiene escenas que podrían causar pesadillas, está bueno para un sábado en la noche, atrapante, dura sus dos horas y algo, aunque no soy de películas largas está me convenció darle una oportunidad, ahora te pregunto cómo siempre, te gustan este tipo de películas?
