Hola comunidad cinéfila , hoy les quiero compartir una reseña de una serie que me gustó mucho y me trajo un poco de nostalgia al recordarme a mis tiempos iniciando como lectora ,por qué trae unas vibes un poco a los libros de romance juveniles de hace años y que usa uno de mis tropos favoritos como lo son el enemey to lovers ,ese de enemigos a amantes 💕, combinando un ambiente de internado/colegio de alta clase ,y el típico tropo de chico rico /chica pobre ,tomando en cuenta pensaba que sería algo más de lo mismo, otro show de adolescentes malo o regular, pero me lleve una grata sorpresa cuando la serie me atrapó con sus buenas actuaciones ,hermosa fotografía y estética ,y con la química entre los protagonistas, y luego de unos meses ya es oficial que renovarán a una segunda temporada por lo que sí no te habías animado a verla ,ahora con la confirmación de una nueva temporada te la recomiendo ☺️💕.

Si algo disfrute fue la química que hay entre ambos protagonistas desde el primer episodio que logra asombrosamente establecer rápidamente todo el conflicto y el contexto de la situación, dándonos la historia de ambos personajes ,James como un chico rico y arrogante pero con una relación muy compleja con su padre y la exigencias de este , y a Ruby una chica estudiosa y trabajadora , que lucha para hacerse con una admisión a la universidad para mejorar la vida de su familia , y aparte de lidiar con la culpa de un accidente que dejó a su padre en silla de ruedas, todo lo que hace para evitarse problemas y aprovechar la oportunidad de un mejor acceso a la universidad en Maxton Hall se ve truncado con la intimidación de James para que no cuente el secreto de su hermana,y quién usa todo su poder e influencia para hacer quedar a Ruby de la peor manera ante todo, y es que James es realmente cruel y no tiene límites , está acostumbrado a conseguir lo que quiere solo por ser un Beaufort y esto se debe a que su padre lo enseñó así, para James intentar ser el hijo que su padre quiere , intentando llenar expectativas altísimas que esté le impone, y quién parece ser el real villano de esta serie. Y por otro lado Ruby tampoco es la persona más pasiva ,es una protagonista fuerte que le pone desde un principio un alto a james ,pero debo mencionar que Ruby también a veces suele ser cruel e iguala el nivel de James ,incluso ventilando en frente de todos sus amigos y desconocidos (2 veces jaja 😂) todos los problemas y daddys issues que tiene James enfrente de todos y sacandole todas sus oscuras verdades a la cara, así que digamos que ambos están a la par.
También a medida que se van a acercando y se plantean los dilemas en que ambos deben enfrentar sobre quienes son y lo que quieren, y van desarrollando sentimientos entre ellos que son imposibles de ignorar, la verdad había varios momentos que me recordaban mucho a Twilight jejej o libros juveniles de ese tiempo pero no de mala manera si no como guiño a algo nostálgico de la historias románticas de esos años ( por cierto también me recordó a Los fics de Draco/Hermione jajaja por si les gusta ese fandom) , y también hay que destacar que la actuación de ambos actores está muy buena ,sobre todo la del actor masculino en el último episodio , una joyita.

And on the other hand Ruby is not the most passive person either, she is a strong protagonist who puts a stop to James from the beginning, but I must mention that Ruby also sometimes tends to be cruel and equals James' level, even airing in front of all his friends and strangers (2 times haha 😂) all of James' problems and daddy issues in front of everyone and bringing out all of his dark truths in his face, so let's say that both are on par.
Also well as they get closer and the dilemmas they both have to face about who they are and what they want are raised, and they develop feelings between them that are impossible to ignore, the truth is there were several moments that reminded me a lot of Twilight hehe or young adult books of that time but not in a bad way but as a nod to something nostalgic about the romantic stories of those years (by the way it also reminded me of Draco/Hermione fics hahaha in case you like that fandom), and it should also be noted that the acting of both actors is very good, especially that of the male actor in the last episode, a gem.
En fin a parte de los protagonistas los personajes de Lydia, la hermana gemela de James, la hermana de Ruby y el amigo gay de James me parecieron super buenos e interesantes, la verdad está bastante buena y entretenida ,sobre todo porque cada episodio está muy bien desarrollado y la historia fluye rapido ,y con el final dejan un giro intrigante que engancha para la segunda temporada ,que mencione ya esta renovadas así que si estás buscando algo un poco romántico y apelando a la nostalgia de las series de adolescentes.
