Avatar: The Way of Water is coming this December. After a decade, we are getting a sequel to Avatar which was first released in 2009. When was the first time I watched Avatar? I was a kid when I watched it for the first time, I remember we had a video player and my elder brother brought a CD, and then we enjoyed it on our big fat tv, hahaha.
On seeing the new trailer, yeap I have watched the trailer but there aren't many scenes and stories, just a short one. I wanted to go for Avatar once again. Well, recently I bought a 2k monitor so I was waiting to taste something on this with this higher resolution and Avatar I got here. Got a high-resolution copy and played it, boom, back to a decade ago.

My favorite scene on seeing him riding Toruk, clicked from the movie.
***Avatar (2009) was written and directed by James Cameron and the upcoming one is also done by him. And we would see our previous stars back in the game too, like Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang. I haven't tried to dig much about the story the upcoming sequel is going to cover. Umm, I would love to watch that at Cineplex on the big screen, waiting…..
So how was my experience today? First of all, I am just loving my new monitor, this movie was an amazing combo to experience. Well, lemme ask you two questions, when did you watch Avatar for the first and last time? Can you remember the story from beginning to end? Well, I didn't remember the whole story, I mean I was in my early teenage years perhaps so I just remembered the scenes, knew what happened, knew the fighting scenes, but forgot the details from start to end. So when the movie started a few scenes felt new to me, which wasn't new hahaha.
This time I am getting the language, understanding every word and line so a better understanding of the storyline. No matter how much I could predict the scenes, I was amazed on seeing them again, got to feel the bond of Jack with them a little better, was he a betrayer or saviorof a race is well understood, and was satisfied with enjoying them at higher resolution. Damn, the cinematography was just outstanding.
As most of us have watched it already so we know the story, not gonna jump on that. But this time, I felt from where the sequel might start, there is enough scope in the story for a new beginning. Well, I have watched the trailer of the sequence just before starting this write-up. So on finishing the first one, I thought that the humans would return again, that ending scene was about how they drove them away from Pandora by keeping a few of them. But in the trailer, I haven't seen anything like their return, or it could be about the clashes of Na'vi themselves, there were different clans and species too, Jack earned a prestigious title Toruk Makto and much more to be explored.
What are your best scenes from there? Whenever I used to remember Avatar I used to just see Jack flying Toruk, the bad boy of the sky, his arrival while riding Toruk and everyone was astonished. This is the scene I used to remember, his jump on it from the sky to tame it.
As we had seen Jack leaving his own human body and getting into his avatar so this time no risk of him getting detached, hehe. And Grace would return too, I got clear that she didn't die as they told that her soul was with Eywa as she wasn't strong enough to make the switch to her avatar, Jake made that possible in the end for himself.
So yeah, it was an amazing experience to rewatch this masterpiece and wait eagerly for the sequel which is announced to be dropped this December. Happy Waiting!! 😛
